My mask is showing with both equipped at the same time. I have always been unsure if this combination was intended by bethesda to work ? anyone with some thoughts on that ?
All Dragon Priest masks can glitch if you are wearing a hooded item. Or if you are wearing something on your head and equip a mask it might make the face disapear and still show the head item, though in your inventory it will say that you are wearing the mask, not the head gear.
am i the only person who prefers it without the face ? lol, i mean you look like a grim reaper / ring wraith. i hate saving coz it fixes the character then I've gotta try and get the face to disappear again

Simple fix: While wearing Morokei (or any other dragon priest mask) go into your inventory, drop the ArchMage robes, pick them up, and put them back on. Worked for me. Simple.
There's a mod called "Morokei Circlet" on skyrimnexus it seems to fix the problem once and for all :)
If you have the "Data Files" grayed out in the launcher (like me) and you can't load the .esp file, simply go to Documents\My Games\Skyrim open SkyrimPrefs.ini in any text editor, under the [Launcher] label (line 80) add
bEnableFileSelection=1
It should look like this (The aspect ratio of course might vary)
So, this isn't a perfect fix, but for you pc players you can download hoodless archmage robes from Skyrim Nexus. They're actually Psijic robes, but you can retexture them with some other mods to make them epic as hell. :D (ps, they then work flawlessly with the dragon masks)

Easy way to solve it until you die. If it happens, drop Morokei then the Arch Mage Robes, pick up Morokei then the robes and then equip Morokei and then the robes after. The helm will then show ;D
just typed in arch mage and morokei in youtube to see that this headlessnes is only my "luck" or its a common thing ... now i'm calmed ...in some kind of way
I have the same problem. If you take off the mask, save your game, then load that saved game and re-equip the mask it should fix it for a while, but eventually it will happen again.

The easiest way is to drop your robes, pick them back up and reequip it. The glitch will be gone for quite a while. But will come back sooner.

I've noticed you don't get the full 200% regen if this glitch occurs... watch your magicka bar, it goes slower when the face is invisible.

Doesnt matter if you face is gone. With the massive boosts in magicka and magicka regen your enemies will probably have the same problem XD
