'The Sontaran Experiment' is a gem of a two parter. Once again the regulars are on top form and it's great to see the Sontaran's again after their very impressive debut in 'The Time Warrior'. Being a story shot entirely on location gives it a very fresh and exciting extra edge. It's a wonderful little story.

'The Sontaran Experiment' gets a 9/10.

Good to see you back! Missed your reviews. Highly recommend SE. It is an action-packed little 2-Parter well worth the watch!

Appreciate the Lis Sladen tribute. Her passing hit me harder than any other public figure's passing ever has. Not sure why. But judging by the thousands of web postings, I was not alone in feeling that way. The amazing Lis Sladen touched a huge number of people very deeply apparently, who weren't ready to let her go. I sensed that in Tom Baker's tribute, too.

Good to see you and Cappy back. I see you even have a UFO now with cat hating aliens on board. Is this going to be a regular feature? LOL. I love this story, a brilliant piece of storytelling with a minimalist setting. Just goes to show you don't have to have a massive budget if you have a cracking story and brilliant acting. Lovely tribute to Liz Sladen by the way, very heart felt. Cant wait for Genesis.

@cbatt91337 Haa, I didn't even notice until the edits and I don't know what the hell it was. I think it was kids across the street with a flash light. Or aliens. It had to be one of those things. Couldn't possibly anything else. Except maybe kid aliens. Okay, 3 things.

I agree with the spare nature adding texture to the story. I really like this one and not just because it's a short one.

i know you review the good doctor but have you seen any of the sarah jane adventures and if so what did you think of it

@kevinkards1 My buddy has them all on DVD waiting for me. I haven't seen any of them yet but I got a glimpse into her world with the last Doctor, Tennant. She was marvelous.

@Tricklestone Wait till you see the SJA "The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith". Powerful little piece of TV, believe me. "Kid's TV"? That single SJA show blows all of Torchwood and most of the New Series totally out of the water. Not every SJA is up to those standards of course, but a surprising good many are! You are in for a treat watching SJA!

@63DW89A SJA is the best childrens show on television anywhere in the world, and it will continue to be so for years to come, I hope they keep it on the air - re-runs of SJA is better than new episodes of all the other shit they make for kids today.

Where the Blazez av you been old man?!! The Sontaran Experiment was an Amazing Story yes. And all those Rocks gave it a really nice atmosphere. Harry is the Man in it! Picking up that Stick ready to Clobber the Sontaran! Ha Ha!

It's a nice little Story with the Famous Cliff Hanger where the "Synthesizer" just goes on Over-Drive! LOVE it! Tom's Still having Fun, & Doesn't know what's about to hit him! And Dear Liz.. Wonderful she was. There's not many People from the Good old Days left now. :(

I really liked this story and laughed out loud when it hit me it was only two parts! OH, YEAH! Next one is sweet!
