they should use them more often they can move faster with the amfleets than with the Surfliners

@CoasterFan2105 amfleets can hit 125mph, and the F59PHI's can hit 110mph they could definitely do it, the baggage car can also handle 110mph

@bnsf9842 No, he is right, they are geared with the ability of hitting 110. However, all the ones on amtrak overspeed at 93 MPH.

@CoasterFan2105 Well, between Irvine station & Tustin it's a straight shot and only two grade crossings so I wouldn't be suprised if they could hit 110 there. Also between Fullerton& Norwalk/ Sante Fe Springs

im gonna miss the days when the san diegan was around cause i used to always ride on them. it was kinda depressing when i was in LA at union station and i was catching an early surfliner home and i looked out the window and saw a surfliner with the amfleet cars on there. a dying set of cars was the feeling

I've rode the train up to L.A. or Fullerton numerous times. Great view of the coastline, Del Mar, La Jolla, and San Onofre State Park.

Yeah, I wish we had the old Amfleet cabcars on the west coast. Apparently, the east coast has several.

Because 582 was on the AMTK track. Over night, there are sets on 3 out of the 4 tracks at the depot.
