Much as I love Ride, their videos were - to put it bluntly - crap. Shame they didn't have someone directing them who gave as much thought as you have to this; fits absolutely perfectly. If you ever get six months off, please do the same with Dreams Burn Down, Drive Blind, Grasshopper (I could go on)......

What a great film, you really got the whole feel of the song down, themes of friendship and memories,etc. This track used to mean a lot to me and my mates 'back in the day', (LSD or no LSD!) and still does now - this film has really brought those happy memories flooding back very poignantly, 'happy sad' and all that! Just the intro to this track sends shivers down my spine, they really were one hell of a band. Fab job mate, many congrats and thanks!

wow seeing this vid after many years is amazing. I used to actually listen to this on my tape deck (yes a tape) and I train jumped on a coal train over to the westcoast of NZ south island and back again lisening to this very song. I live in Christchurch and my best friend Dan and I used to listen to ride all the time when we were just starting uni. I have it all on vinyl. Awesome. thanks Ride for the memories.

Thanks for the compliment! I made this about 10 years ago. It was shot in Arizona and california and was shot on 16mm film. I've been in film production ever since and have directed far more intricate and expensive large-scale things....but in all sincerity "Remembrance" is still my persoanl favorite.

OX4 is an area code in Oxford in which most of the band had lived in when they were younger (I have lived there all my life so far). Seeing as the song is about being homesick, the name makes a little more sense really.

It was shot outside of Phoenix, Arizona for the most part. The beach footage and a few of the train shots were from southern California. It was shot on 16mm negative and actually edited the old-fashioned way on a flatbed film cutting machine.
