  • this is epic! kinda creepy tho i wouldve been scared if i were the person who discovered australia and found these people

  • I am interested in seeing the dance in native setting

  • lol who are these primitive savages?!??!

  • I think this is great

  • they are the few true hunters left in the world, an only people who can take on the outback

  • @vsboy25 Haha not including you faggot. Suck my dick. I can take on the outback any day, Australia sucks my cock in half. The only kind of outback you can take is a dick out the back of your ass. fucker

  • this performance was great!

  • They didn't show the part where they sniff glue

Notice how none are actually full blood

  • @Strat0Blues yea and they didnt show the whiote guys coming along and show the how 2 sniff glue... and how wouild u know if they r full blood or not? i would really like 2 know how u can tell the difference..?

  • @Strat0Blues what does it matter if there full blooded or not? their still people.

  • excellent!!

  • Why ruin a great native culture with modern influence? More native dance and understanding is what the western world needs..

  • What a pitty for the disrespecful cut-off end...

  • but i must agree the end song kills the show

  • my god we said sorry to these assholes

i am never voting labour EVER again

  • smithbrain u did say sorry 2 the "stolen gen", the "aus gov" said "sorry" 4 the wrong they did 2 the "stolen gen." what culture u got 2 show smithbrain? war, black plague, crime, murder, serial killers, leaving ur country coz ur jails were ova crowded? tjapukai aboriginal culture park is now a multi million $ business. the "Queen" has even visited these dancers. tru put ur culture up on display like these guys hav... all u would hav as a show is people dying, wow wouldnt that b a good show!

  • the guy on the left at the very beginning reminds me of Manny Puig

  • The title is misleading. It's not Kuranda. It's Tjapukai Cultural Park in Cairns. You must've gone there on the way to or from Kuranda and got confused. Yes, the last part is cheesy. This park has it's good and not so good sides. A poor attempt to move on from the purely traditional.

  • You may be referring to changes that took place after my visit to Australia. This video clip was taken in Kuranda, which also had a butterfly park. I then rode a train to Cairns.

  • Thedrdeads this clip was taken in the old theatre in kuranda b4 they moved down 2 cairns.

  • @TheDrDEADS this clip was taken in kuranda b4 the theatre moved 2 cairns.. its a totally new show and how do i know? i use 2 work there...

  • @TheDrDEADS Once upon a time before Skyrail came along it was up at Kuranda.

  • @TheDrDEADS This clip is from the original Tjapukai Dance Theatre in Kuranda. It didn't move to Cairns until later. @intrepberkexplorer - this clip has nothing to do with Kakadu. I know because I am an ex Tjapukai Dancer.

  • @TheDrDEADS I think Tjapukai people are from Kuranda but the Cultural park is in Cairns

  • the spell was definitely broken by the sharp jolt of reality!

  • Awesome!

  • lol i love it i can watch it ova n ova again n still laugh!!!

  • I'm not satisfied.. :(

  • the end ruins all!

  • Ha! The contrast between the two sections is so wrong. It was like: pre-colonial, then colonial. Depressing.

  • Agreed, that change up was very jarring...and unwelcome.

  • mga panget

  • that first dance was really nice, but the next part I didnt find as interesting. Nice video :)

  • i love this stuff, do u guys (australians) have folk dances?

  • WOOT ITS SO COOL

  • O_O yay aberigine dancingggg xD =P

  • do aborigines have any African origin? And if so, do they acknowledge it? I can't help but to notice the African features they have.

  • Well, we all have african origins. Australian aborigins are called "black" but they're not really related to those in Africa. Much like the Atis and Negritos of the Philippines. They look like Africans but they are genetically distant.

  • If you like this sample clip, please consider watching my complete, free travel video of Australia, "Kangaroo From Kakadu". You need a broadband connection. Just ask a search engine for: Intrepid Berkeley Explorer

  • POWER DANCING! A.

  • I don't get it.

    Why is this racist??

I love aboriginal culture and I don't see how this is racist.

    can you please enlighten me??

I am Australian myself and would really like to know.

  • I agree with u. I am Aussie too =D and I love aboriginal culture. =D so I agree with u ALL the way

  • i am trying to do a huge report on the movement in aboriginal dance. its symbolism and type of movement.

    can anyone help? message me!

  • That's deadly my brothers. My two boyz love this and practiced to be like u around the fire. Check them out in my video..LOL

  • wonderful

  • lol

  • i love my black people.

  • shermy.. its individuals like yourself that will be the key to failure in making this planet a place for all of us to become one. Your spirit still is young and needs a few thousand more lives for you to start understanding this. Not all drink VB and collect welfare brother...I know of Aboriginal doctors, psychologists, police officers, Magistrates, successful business owners...and these are people just from my side of the family. Ignorence can be blinding sometimes...all the best.

  • Get rid of the last song spoken in Eglish no need to try convince people! The First part was 1000x better.

  • I liked that song as a very fitting way to end this spectacular performance. Letting me use the camcorder was also much appreciated.

Rarely can I film without hassle such an outstanding show.

  • Thanks for posting this vid. We used to have a copy on VHS but it got damaged- gotta love Kuranda weather. Napoo and the guys r sooo young here lol. Ahhh, Tjapuki(djabuguy) dancers have come sooo far!!! Love it!!! x x x

    but i don't like paint

    on my body

  • great

  • Truely! A shame for the actors the show and the aboriginies!

  • The first 3/5 of the performance was F...ing awesome! What the the hell was the last pop shit about?!

  • Doonooch Dance Company is a modern dance company.

I don't think their elders where performing like this thousand years ago...

That is what I want to point out.

Of course the show may be nice for spectators...

  • Lead performer for doonooch use to dance at this actual theatre back in the early 90s with the Djabugay mob, they r like his second family and he has cousins who are djabugay too.

  • that is for sure... it is not a traditionnal dance and song...

  • Ignorant dunce! It's a Laplap, and it's RED!

  • i absolutely love the electric didgereedoo

  • Is there such an instrument?

  • Sorry not the gold coast cairns i ment

  • dont go mocking our dress code ..narrabung
