I just listened to 15 versions of this great song.... and THIS IS THE ONE.... Willie Nelson came close, KD Lang almost, Alexandra Burke caught it beautifully in a superb production, others tried and failed to catch it just right.  Jeff Buckley has truly made this HIS song cos even Leonard Cohen just couldn't deliver it like this, even with the edge that he wrote it. SPECIAL... VERY SPECIAL.
