Cool, I wanna build a 1776 for mine! I'm still learning though about the engine. Is this a pretty simple build? What's the bore and stroke on a 1776? Thanks for the vid, 5 stars!

Restoring my first VW, 1966 1300 and was wondering if a 1776 would make a good daily ride with some pop?

yeah, that's what mine is......a daily drive........although it's not too average 1776, does have good tourque and plenty of top end if the need is there

Put a better tranny in. I'm not sure if the Freeway Flyer is still Available but it's a good start. If your in Tx I know a Great Vw Tranny Guy.
