Soul Silver Definately, Also @TheBlaziken437. More than likely the 8-bit Version of this song is going to end up sounding like the origional version since basicaly the creators did the opposite and just updated the song to now a days standards. But what this person did is basicaly converted it back to the old way since of course the origonals were 8-Bit already. Still good either way.

A lot of those tracks sound NOTHING like Gold and Silver (I know because I own both games on GBC). Take Johto wild battle music, for example, and compare HG/SS (with GB Player) with G/S.

Question: Does Famitracker and GXSCC run in a similar way making 8 bit remixes?

You wouldn't believe how many people spam my inbox telling me "You use GXSCC, I one starred all your videos, and I blocked you, go get some talent kid."

I make 8bit remixes myself, but I use a program I made myself, basically disecting the song, and choosing 8 bit sounds to replace, followed by song panels and new channels to add. In other words, I make em from semi-scratch.

No, they are severely different. FamiTracker strictly follows the limits of the NES, while GXSCC just makes it sound like an 8-bit SCC sound system (not the NES unless correctly setup).

Personally, I low-rate any GXSCC song marked as "8-bit" is using a MIDI that they obviously didn't make or that very well breaks the actual limits of the console. As for the ones that are original and under the constraints, they usually deserve five stars.

So the Famitracker creates remixes that can be played back on the NES, thats pretty epic then!

If you are good at ROM hacking, yes. FamiTracker can also export a raw ROM that will run on an NES flashcart and will work on a real NES.
