Yes, because it goes at the speed of a traction elevator (150-200 FPM), even if it's hydraulic, and it's just like high altitude (50-100 feet tall) hydraulics being called "HIGHdraulic."
Yes, I think so, and so should Otis and Schindler. It's too bad that Kone discontinued hydraulic, including holeless and roped, but the highest holeless elevator was 4-5 floors.
Could you tell me the name of the track?

Nice elevator.

No, this is a standard hydraulic.
I upped a video of it today, showing the piston going from the cab, into the ground.

TRACdraulic is short for Traction/Hydraulic, which means it is a hydraulic, with the speed of a traction

Oh, sorry, this was a reply to someone else's comments, but went to you. Anyone saying hydraulics are slower:
(a) never saw my 25ft/min Meredith traction elevator video.
(b) never rode the hydraulic ones in Burbank Hospital, Fitchburg (main entrance).

Its A Thyssen Krupp The Indicator Has A Long Buzz And The Dover Has A Short Buzz
FanManLover 3 years ago
yeah
but I have seen a Dover elevator on the UNM campus with a long buzz

Yep, fast as a traction elevator CaptainElevator42189.

Nice elevator, and it seems pretty fast for only 3 floors.

This is a Hydraulic "Tracdraulic" Elevator!
elevatorsonly 3 years ago
Is that the same as a roped hydraulic elevator?
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Actually, it is the name for fast hydraulic elevators!
elevatorsonly 3 years ago
I don't think ThyssenKrupp makes roped hydraulic
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
Yes, because it goes at the speed of a traction elevator (150-200 FPM), even if it's hydraulic, and it's just like high altitude (50-100 feet tall) hydraulics being called "HIGHdraulic."

HIGHdraulic is what DieselDucy calls them. And this one is not HIGHdraulic.
I wonder if this one is holeless hydraulic since ThyssenKrupp makes those as well as in-ground
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
Yes, this is holeless, since it has 3 floors, and HIGHdraulic only comes in roped/holed configurations with 6-10 floors.
CaptainElevator42189 2 years ago
how come no company made hole-less HIGHdraulic elevators.
ThyssenKrupp should discontinue in-ground and make just hole-less and roped hydraulic
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
Yes, I think so, and so should Otis and Schindler. It's too bad that Kone discontinued hydraulic, including holeless and roped, but the highest holeless elevator was 4-5 floors.

i sugest writing to ThyssenKrupp and talking them into discontinuing in-ground hydraulic in favor of roped hydraulic.
cubsrule2040 2 years ago
Also, they should use biodegradable oil for the hydraulic elevator. But DO NOT DISCONTINUE HYDRAULIC! IT'S MY FAVORITE KIND OF ELEVATOR!
an65001 2 years ago
I disagree on the discontinuing part, but I would agree on the oil part.

Nah, nothing is more powerful then a hydraulic.
Tractions have more risks. NEVER is when ThyssenKrupp will discontinue hydros.
an65001 1 year ago
@an65001 Tractions have 1 risk. You are lying, and you have the same # of lies as Microsoft. (over 1 trillion)
elevatorsonly 1 year ago
I agree totally.
