  • Hello everyone....

Are you searching for perpetual motion machine??

Do a Google search for "Top Magnetic Generator" ...

Choose the First Result (Skip the Advertisements)

  • i remember when i thought up a perpetual motion machine when i was like 10... then checked the internet and found out it was impossible. fuck me.

  • No one makes a fool with the title except those who believe in perpetual motion!

  • That's similar to a double pendulum problem, very cool.

  • Seriously, change the title already. You're making a fool of yourself.

  • @mega17 who the fuk cares it a godamn youtube video..

  • @ApocalypseDMN

    Everyone except you cares, loser.

It's misleading and a big waste of time - even Your Mom cares.

  • @ApocalypseDMN

It's misleading and a big waste of time - even Your Mom cares.

  • Buena idea, está muy chulo el vídeo.

  • ...Then don't put perpetual motion machine in your title dumbass.

  • If you take the time to line the poles up right it holds more weight (which you probably had to do). I made an icosahedron out of those one time an stuck it under my metal spiral staircase, spun it, and it went for a good while. Funny how great minds think alike. Except mine was just one icosahedron.

  • BONGO!

  • it's not

  • Lol i made the same exact thing like 5 years ago

  • (1(CollinCreatedHiOctetRULEloyaltoCollin--)1) -- o

  • I think people like this put 'perpetual motion' in the title just so they'll get people to respond telling them what an idiot they are and that whatever they've video taped isn't perpetual motion. Why bother, you know it's not, we know it's not.

  • for gods sake perpetual motion is impossible. perpetual means forever. so maybe this cannot run forever, but a very long time due to high efficiency. using a word like perpetual in the title gets more views. nothing more. stop arguing

  • @HaydenPK for gods sake perpetual motion is impossible. " then why earth is spining billions of years non stop?

  • @koneko1991 because there is are almost no forces acting on it that are making it lose the kinetic energy it gained during its formation. if you research into this matter, you will find there is a huge amount of evidence collected in various studies that shows the earths rotation has slowed down since then by a great amount, is slowing down still and will slow down more in the future

  • @HaydenPK yes that does seem plausible, but will it be noticable by the average human in say, 5 years?

  • @snakeOsnake no, but this does not mean to say we can assume the earth has perpetual motion

  • @HaydenPK That's why we have leap year

  • This isn't a perpetual motion machine. A perpetual motion machine just runs forever, by creating no energy and losing no energy. This machine clearly speeds up, if only by a little, toward the end, which shows it's creating more energy than it's losing. So, in time it will run fast enough to tear itself apart, because it's fragile as well. And even an energy-creating machine that was somehow indestructible wouldn't be a p.m.m.--because it'd eventually go so fast as to destroy the universe.

  • very, very interesting. thank you very much , for yur contribution.

  • It would be cool to see this magnetic fields on that.

  • Oh they cut the film before it dies.

  • All to do with wavelengths why the spheres move in intervals.

  • Très belle et étonnante expérience. Je pense que je vais tester la même chose. Heureusement, l'expérience ci-dessus est accessible, merci.

    A bientôt.

  • TRY USING ALL THE PLATONIC SOLIDS IN ORDER FROM LEAST TO MOST INTRICATE(tetrahedron -dodecahedron)

  • @EZSEEK

    "next!" lol

  • very nice man

  • I always wonder why my cosmology teacher always talk about this geometric figure. Now i get to see it, its beautiful :)

  • watch a movie called "Crossing the event horizan and you'll why this shape is so amazing

  • @DespriteGraveDigger how is it amasing? its just an icosahedron

  • oh my god! i though i was the only one who did this! i have magnets just like those (but they're glow in the dark) and i would always make those isosahedrons (shape with 20 triangles) and hang them somewhere and watch them spin for minutes. the longest ive gotten one to go is 6 and a half minutes.

  • Erp, if it uses magnets, then there is potential energy involved.

  • This is on a planet floating thru space: it's all in perpetual motion. I really like geometric shapes.

  • Awesome

Where the hell can you get em anymore?

All I can find are Kids versions and stuff with panels...

  • Ermmm this is gonna maybe sound stupid, but whats a perputual motion, is it endless motion.

  • yes

  • kinda it is something that creates energy, in other words it moves (creates energy) with having any force or energy to make it move

  • perpetual motion cant be cast aside as "impossible", though it is highly unlikely, the science of today can do things we deamed "impossible" a few years ago, so who knows, maybe one day we might actually see a perpetual motion machine

  • this is a great video. it helps prove that perpetual motion is impossible. but still some people are wasting time building machines to prove otherwise. lol.

  • how can the universities teach everyone there is no such thing as perpetual motion then show everyone a model of a atom?tell me what powers the electrons in a atom?the oil companies control the goverments, banks and universities.we should charge standard oil with treason for selling the germans fuel during ww2 then go after the rest of the oil companies for buying fuel saving devices to keep their business going while they destroy the earth.death to the oil companies!!!

  • haha ! +1

  • woah, first of all cool it with your oil conspiracies, you're just wasting your time putting them up on here

i think atoms do eventually die out (hence half lifes etc) so an atom isnt really a good example for perpetual motion

  • You clearly don't go to University. Just go read about the laws of thermodynamics and stop talking about things you have no idea about.

  • Einstein didn't go to university yet he was one of the smartest men alive... you cant tell what the future holds back then we thought ..

1899 the U.S patent commissioner stated "everything that can be invented has been invented"

1901 Orville write "man will not fly for 50 years"

1909 scientific american "the automobile has practicely reached the end of its development"

1936 New york times " a rocket will never leave the earths atmosphere"

now 2009 "Perpetual Motion is impossible"

  • thats a good point, and a great way to stop the commotion. If only people would listen and not be so contradicting.

  • Einstein taught at university. I'd say that is somewhat better than merely attending.

All your quotes are based on people's unscientific opinions of situations.

All scientific opinion today is that perpetual motion is impossible.

The crackpot "scientists" who claim otherwise are loonies who are mostly self proclaimed "scientists".

"Anyone who believes perpetual motion is impossible has no imagination; anyone who thinks it is possible has no brains." Adam Peenum

  • it doesn't matter what i say because narrow minded people like you will keep trying to bullet me down...

"the world is flat" pretty much everyone up until Nicolaus Copernicus

  • So you are another anti-law of physics clown who is an armchair expert on perpetual motion.

Get off your backside and go buy a set of plans and make a simple one. The parts are quite cheap - a person of your obvious intellect and knowledge should be able to make one in a day or two.

Or are you a windbag as you sound?

And by the way I tinkered with magnetic "motors" when I was a kid to try and get perpetual motion happening, and realised then it was bunk.

So go on, put up or shut up.

  • Arguably it IS possible. Send an object forward in an infinite vaccum, with no acting forces and it will move perpetually. Not that it's any GOOD to anyone

  • im already working on one that dosent need a vacuum

  • If you don't have a vacuum then you have to overpower constant friction which means you have to deliver 100% force to energy conversion. The best thing for this would be the axeltree Dynamo, Which, unlike the plans shown online, requires a tube and Neodium magnets. It's not perpetual, It's driven by the earth's magnetic field, which is driven by our rotation, It's good because by the time it stops, we won't need it anymore

  • "You clearly don't go to ? University.",enough said,,learn how to use the english language the right way before talking shit. immigrant .

  • Wow, really? If you harvest that energy, my friend, what you get is an atomic bomb. It requires an immense amount of energy to 'split' the atom and release it evergy in the first place, and the result is nowhere near enviromentaly friendly. Do your research...

  • i remember when i was a kid i swallowed 1 of those magnet balls and i pooped it out 3 days after

  • @123beat321 that must of felt nice.. jk :)

  • @123beat321 niiiiiice to know

  • @123beat321 lmao

  • @123beat321 LOL ME TOO

  • @123beat321 DID U PUT ANNOTHER MAGNET UP TO UR STOMACH AND FEEL ur stomach move forward?

  • @123beat321 magnetic poop!

  • @123beat321 same over here lol haha

  • then use it in space with other perpetuals

  • try to use it to make electricity

  • perpetual electricity is impossible as of yet. the electromagnetic field within perpetual motion will be repelled by the earths magnetic field.

  • i also did that, it's soo cool!

  • lol win

  • admittedly, it is cool, but don't label it a perpetual motion machine if it is not.

  • @anonymouslyknown16 if only , then it would be simple to find a real one , it would be the only video ever to have perpetual motion machine in the title

  • i just find it funny that if i look at a vid on youtube of a monkey spankin himself or the Perpetual Motion machine you still get people bitchin at each other over minor details geek fight lol

  • actually tomerico1 it may be a toy but you have the workings of a perpetual motion generator. the only thing you're missing is an electromagnet. You don't need it to run the actual motion of it, but when you notice it starts to slow down or lock up turn the e-mag on for a split second to throw the poles out of sync again.

  • I think it kinda looks like a stop-motion. . . just a thought

  • looked to me like a bad quality vid is all, could be right though

  • then that isnt perpetual is it lol, you need energy to turn on the electromag

  • It demonstrates quite well the way the universe will end through its own friction.

  • true say!

  • Unilateral entropy - I think is the technical term.

  • i don't understand, the planets are not in contact with anything, how then is there friction involved? excuse my ignorance

  • You are not ignorant at all; we are still trying to discover what Gravity actually is & yet to find "Gravity Particles"! It`s the Gravity force between objects (inc` Satellites) which causes the friction.

  • wait. if gravity causes friction, wouldn't satellites fall on our heads every day? isn't the friction negligible since the movement of satellites and planets is perpendicular to the direction of gravitational pull?

  • so, the force that satellites apply to other satellites in order to keep them in orbit is essentially a frictional force. i.e so its opposing the direction the satellite is spinning or orbiting?

  • Look at NASA`s site. Part of Satellite maintenance is to allow them to either fall back to Earth or push them back into orbit. Large Planets passing millions of miles between each other alter their orbits.

  • I don't know where the hell this crap of "gravitational friction keeping satellites moving" comes from, but it's more a combination of escape velocity combined with gravity, with gravity not actually being a force but is instead a byproduct of the warping of spacetime most notably caused by bodies of significant mass and/or energy.

  • ok if you say its not one why post it as "Perpetual motion" wow you have a mega good life same as me

  • is this the oficial nerd posting video? XD

  • "of course its not perpetual"

yet your title clearly states "perpetual motion machine"

either you have a poor sense of humor or you are very stupid.

  • You, sir, are an asshole. And have no basis on which to judge a person's intelligence.

  • my basis is this whole video you blunt idiot, if you would have seen that he had named his video missacording to his disscription to attract veiwers, mabye you would see why i think the person who posted this video is stupid

now while this person may not be stupid in real life, they have portrayed a poor amount of intellegence from what i have seen

so you sir are an asshole for falsly judging me, and you have missed my basis of judgment

read next time before blindly calling someone an asshole

  • "Blunt idiot"...again with the undermining of intelligence! Thus proving my point that you're the arsehole. If to (even supposedly falsely) judge is to be an ass, then let every man living be called an ass! Even you said you judged in the very sentence in which you called me an asshole for that very reason!

Shall I advise you to follow the your own last sentence to me? Or would that be missed in your self-righteous anonymous tirades?

  • If you're searching vidoes of perpetual motion machines (hereon, PMM) on youtube, I'm taking it for granted you have the basic knowledge that a true PMM is impossible (or at least inconceivable), and therefore you would have known ahead of time that you weren't going to see an actual PMM. Same goes for all the other viewers.

  • Whoever posted this video displayed nothing relating to intelligence whatsoever, except the high function of knowing how to record a video and subsequently upload it onto the Internet.

Similarly, you have shown nothing pertaining to intelligence, but instead to an obvious character flaw of the need to sit unnamed behind a computer and throw your juvenile scathing remarks to random people. Which does indeed show you are an asshole.

  • yeah, how could you? you called someone an asshole online. you should think before you go crazy and start calling people assholes left and right. for all i know, your gunna call me an asshole next.

  • Was that to me or to 10lettername? Because we both called someone an asshole online. And if it was to me, I don't see you having said/done to warrant you being an asshole, so I'm not going to call you one.

  • omg, i was clearly being sarcastic. i should hav known, nerds....

  • Haha! It's pretty not fucking clear, actually. But I see now.

  • THIS IS NOT PERPETUAL MOTION

    and the poster KNOWS it!

it is just NAMED perpetual motion to attract ATTENTION

the title of this video is a LIE

  • You have said this, and made this clear many times. I think the only person's time that's being "wasted" is your's. If you do not have 33 seconds to spare, why do you take the time to keep leaving these comments? I'm pretty people get that it's not serious!! Either that, or they haven't taken the time to understand what perpetual motion truly is. In that case, they're too stupid to deserve to know what it is.

  • Who would have thought geomag would solve the perpetual machine problem?

  • Ehm. It does not.

    FOOL

  • They were being sarcastic, jesus!

  • I discovered this last night while hanging out with my nephews while they were playing with this toy. It made me think about magnetic perpetual motion and it's potential uses in an automobile engine so I looked up perpetual motion here on youtube and got this. That's funny. Spin it really hard and put it under a strobe light, it's a trip.

  • It delivers perpetual entertainment. Where can I get one? lol

  • I can't believe anyone would attack for this. So it's a geomag, I quite enjoyed anywho. Thanks man....And the rest of you get a life

  • yeah, thats pretty crap

making the thing isnt, but perpetual motion, well....

the problem is the ballbearings, because two serfices are touching, and moving, theres friction, unless the shpheres were perfect, and concentrated on an infinatly small point, but these are made of particals which are not infinatly small. it would be that bit closer too if it was in a vaccum

  • ofcourse its not perpetual? well why the FUCK do you name the video perpetual motion?

  • Maybe so they can get views quickly? Why is it such a FUCKing big deal do you?

  • because its a lie? like all those other people claiming 'perpetual motion' (but not for 'real')

ICECREAM! no, not really, just trying to attract attention....

    ATTENTION WHORE!

  • It's a youtube video, and a pretty cool one. He/She's not hurting anybody or slowing down the progression of civilization in any way. Get a life!!

  • How many people, trying to find a new energy source, like me, just wasted a few minutes listening to someone, who claims to have a PERPETUAL MOTION machine?

hundreds? THOUSANDS? divide that number by sixty, and multiply by the minimum wages per hour, and you have: the DIRECT DAMAGE this poster does.

the poster also feeds this idea; perpetual motion claimers are ALL LIARS

does that hurt the quest for free energy? SURE it does! a LOT! dont you think?

why claim something, that is NOT true?

  • Most of your logic here seems to be that of a child...

You and everyone else should be aware that the internet has NEVER been an honest place, and because of it's nature, I highly doubt it ever will. Books and people themselves are so much more honest and accurate than the internet.

  • because it is MISLABELED!

    people are MISLED!

    because it is a LIE!

    aaarhg!

this video should be named "NOT perpetual motion" so, people, would not WASTE THEIR FUCKING TIME here

  • It's 33 seconds. Calm the fuck down. Do you realize you're wasting more "time and energy" just arguing with me here?

If someone has the time and energy to afford the computer it takes to view these videos on the internet, they most likely have HOURS of free time in their daily schedule. I know I do, especially since I'm on spring break.

  • ok, 33 seconds times 184847 equals 6099951 seconds, thats (divide by 60 two times) 1694 hours of people STOLEN

the poster of this video just wasted almost a whole manyear, claiming something, that is plainly NOT TRUE.

    it is very simple.

    THIS IS NOT PERPETUAL MOTION

so WHY lie? to attract viewers. you have no problem with people wasting other peoples time to get a nice viewcount? I DO.

post items with titels that are plain out loud LIES, and people WILL complain. GET IT?

  • 1694 hours stolen. OK. if you want to use this logic.

There were about 20,000 hours (give or take several thousand) from the time this video was posted to the present. let's assume 185,000 people have viewed this video (not taking into account multiple views from one viewer). That's about 3.7 billion potential hours this video could be viewed. 1,694/3.7 billion=4.578378378E-7 , which is about .000004578... THAT's how much your arguing is worth!!

    1 4.578 BILLIONTH

  • I'm sorry I meant to say 1 4.578 10 millionth, but I think you get the idea either way.

  • PLUS, you must take into account that not every person who watched actually watched the entire 33 seconds! I'm sure about 90% of the viewers have just watched the first 3 seconds and moved on.

  • funny thing you have wasted 33 second typing!!! haha.

  • yeah, sure. But the thing is I'm mindful enough to know that I have the time to waste.

  • hahahaha

  • That is a cool toy. Zero stars for mislabeling your video as a perpetual motion machine.

  • guys, seriously, quite elaborationg on science facts and actually appreciate that this guy made something really cool.

  • The earth's spin is slowing down gradually. it takes a really long time, though. That's why they had to add a "leap second" this new year's, to account for the eath's slowing down.

  • There is a difference between Law and theory. You can look that up. The Flat Earth was never a law. It is a common misconception that people thought the earth was flat back in the 1400's. They had all the clues they needed that it was round. The moon, the sun, and ships slowly sinking out of sight on the horizon. Newtons laws still hold true for this machine. Perpetual motion is impossible. Do you believe perpetual motion is attainable? 1+1=2 (law) not theory.

  • If man could attain a surface without friction, we could have perpetual motion. Scientists have been working on this for years and have gotten close, so how impossible is it? Besides, isn't Earth's rotation perpetual motion? Its been spinning at the same velocity for millennia, so, again how impossible is perpetual motion?

  • and the earth is slowing down, due to the laws of entropy, and due to the moons gravitational forces pulling on it and effecting the water making it push against the land.

  • theories are backed up by law. a hypothesis is backed up by speculation.

  • A hypothesis still has to be testable though, otherwise it's just called a wild guess.

  • true true

  • If anything the law of conservation of energy proves that perpetual motion can indeed exist. The idea of perpetual motion isn't that the machine creates energy for itself; the idea is that it conserves 100% of the energy that is input into it. This is of course very unreasonable as you have to account for friction being ever present, but even friction creates energy in the form of heat. The problem is utilizing energy once it has changed form.

  • fuckwad, your theory is so far up itself we can only see its toes wiggle

  • What ever that means...

  • i like it

    u doing well

  • No such thing as a perpetual motion machine. This would require that the laws of thermodynamics (both the 1st and 2nd) be violated. Conservation of energy disproves this type of perpetual motion machine, however it is always tempting to beileve that they can exist.

  • The laws of thermodynamics only apply to certain scenarios and in some, they don't exist. Energy is randomly created, quantum fluctuations. Energy can also merge and decrease entropy.

  • Really, please elaborate. I'd love to know a "scenario" that doesn't obey the LAWS of thermodynamics!

  • Quantum fluctuations occur randomly and the energy that is created is quickly destroyed. Let's say this same scenario occurs near the event horizon of a black hole. The created energy might be pulled out of its box quicker than it is destroyed and therefore be "new" energy, decreasing entropy. Entropy has an overall increase and that's unchangeable, but certain scenarios occur that will decrease it.

  • In the mechanical world, the laws of thermodynamics are unshakable, We're talking perpetual motion machines, not quantum physics. The laws of thermodynamics apply to all macro systems. I probably should have expressed that in the response above. At first glance what you say appears to be correct, however, statistically irrelevant.

  • show me a real perpetual motion machine and ill give you a million dollars...

  • that's all? lol

  • Ha, it's better than half these goons posting perpetual motion devices on youtube.

I love how they hook up power supplies and call it perpetual.

  • looks cool but how did you let them turn around in circle's? i got same stuff at home builded that thing but got nothing that makes it turn around and i gave it a little help to turn both around still didnt work

  • like fields repel, read a book

  • I had a set of these and did the exact same thing, but after a while i got bored and harvested the neodymium magnets from the "stick" pieces and am going to build a gauss gun

  • So! name of this video must be

    NOT Perpetual Motion machine.

If I read NOT Perpetual Motion machine i would not waste my time on your video.

    Regard.

  • (cont) You see, perpetual motion is continuous motion that goes on without any force other than gravity.I say it again, ANY force other than gravity. That includes magnetism. I get mad when people claim that they have"Found Perpetual Motion" when really all they have discovered, is that the north of a mag pushes the south. Real perpetuum has not yet been achieved by mankind. For the closest try, see the Orffyreus mobile

  • sorry about this comment. my brother doesn't bother to log out of my account before he comments. i have no idea what this is even about.

  • so electrons orbiting an atom wouldnt be perpetual motion?

  • electrons dont orbit an atom ... electrons are part of an atom... and actually the electrons dont even orbit the nucleus of an atom

  • thats electromagnetic force i think correct me if im wring

  • You said of course it's not perpetual motion, but it isn't in more ways than you might know.

    continued

  • its perpetual it never stopped moving

  • In this video it didn't, it eventually does.

  • it was a joke but thank you

  • if its not perpetual and you know it, than why the hell did you write "Perpetual Motion machine" ???

  • its called "tagging" or "using keywords" ... like you would name it "object that eventually stops moving" ... fucking retards, need to get off my internet

  • i was playing around with this stuff, if you can get all the magnets facing in the right direction it will spin of so far 2 months (school project, involving a bell jar and a vaccum pump) as we have out magnets pacing prarla (ish) we have like 4 barings on each, we are using pyramids, fun stuff

  • sorry but are you a retard?

  • Nothing better than inserted text explaining how much of a dumbass he is.

  • haha nice point

  • Built in insults earn this video 1 star

  • so why the hell would you call it perpetual??????????????

    OMFG

  • I recon, in a vaccume tube that thing would spin for months.

  • put it in space and then see how long it takes to stop!!!

or just put it in a box and pull a vacume!

    well done I like it!!
