Not talking about this one at all. Some of the other tunes though, yes. It was two nights ar Brixton as well sovthey had a bit to play with. Still great though just in a different ways.
RIDE were great live. This release was mixed by Alan Moulder who also produced them up to this point, mostly. Blatant tickering has gone on. although this isnt the besr version i have ever heard of CG.
I've been slightly suspicious of this film for awhile. It really doesn't sound like a soundboard recording. It reeks of numerous overdubs. If this is entirely live, and they sounded this way, they were probably the best band of all time. I'm too young to have been there for this, but maybe some people who did see them live in this era can tell me whether or not this is how they sounded, taking into account the poor quality of live sound.
@Polyfusia I saw this tour at Birmingham Hummingbird and they sounded like this.
Also saw them at Slough festival which was more early in their career and more raw but just as powerful but not as polished. Dreams burn down and nowhere just awsome live.
@Tidpole Was that the "1000 Yard Stare" organised Slough Festival? I went to that with Slowdive and Curve and Ride headlining. That was a good Ride gig. Also went to the 90 Oxford Apollo show and the four 1995 Oxfam Rwanda charity gigs at the Old Gaol Abingdon that Ride/Radiohead/Supergrass and Carter USM all took turns to headline. Awesome days!
Best live version of this song. Saw them on this tour in 1992 in Toronto and was blown away, they were so loud and incredible. I couldn't believe how well Gardner and Bell could sing live. One of the most underrated bands of the 1990's, too bad they got overshadowed by MBV and then Oasis (think of the bands Creation records had throughout the 80's and 90's, I mean my god), Ride were so good, I hope they are remembered and get the accolades they should because they deserve it. Oxford's finest.
Criminal Choon! This band of geetars and drums got me through a difficult time, had this on VHS and cassette. Thank you so much for this gringo! The greatest wail of guitar noise and Loz is the best skin basher known to my ears.
saw ride five times live , this was the last song they played at the mcr academy shortley before they split , i,ll take it to the grave with me the brutality of it , what a band , long live ride!
Truly magical!

Awesome band. Makes me wish I were 15 years older so I could've seen'em live in a club... great camera work during the riffs/drum scene.

Shoegazing bands seemed to use the same color background during the early 90's.......MBV is the same purple color too

Great performance, but the spastic cutting could have been done without. Oh, why didn't they keep sounding like this?
