@merbethmango Actually, blocking is the term used for all the actor's movements on stage. This could include what you said, but it is not just limited to that. It is when an actor walks across the stage, picks something up, sits or stands, and enters and exists. It includes all of this and more. Also, just because people disliked this video does not mean they are chicken. Maybe they did not like the musical. Maybe they are not used to it and were brought up differently than you were.

@kelsey469 if it is a high school there are things you can change in the musical to make it more appropriate. and the rights for the show were recently given away so i'm not surprised. if it is a college, you can do it with no restrictions. the hayloft scene will probably be altered though.

I've been doing musical theatre shows and I aspire to be on broadway someday. I've had people take pictures during shows, and I can tell you that it's made not just me very dizzy, but other actors as well. Even a little video camera light can bother an actor on stage. The stage lights are hot enough. We don't need ...

Since I've done musical theatre shows before, I've learned of such a thing called audience ediquette. clap after a scene is over and after a song is over. and also, it's considered rude to take pictures/video during a show.
