Sonic didn't really have any major games on the Saturn. Sonic Jam is a compilation of all the 16-bit games, and it's good but it's still a compilation, the game has the first true 3D sonic game built in called Sonic World but it's very short, only one level with 8 "missions" to complete. Sonic 3D Blast the other Sonic game on the Saturn was unpopular, and while I liked it, most people felt it was too slow, and Sonic R was a spin-off racing game, not a main series game.

Panzer Dragoon has not aged well. Except the soundtrack. Its like Pilotwings 64--it got great reviews then, but now its a glorified tech demo. Panzeer Dragoon Zwei is still a great game that has aged well. It should have beaten the original.

Saturn was a seriously decent console, but unfortunately sony managed to market the ps in a much cooler way and it dominated the market. They were both good machines, but I was practically the only person in the world to own a Saturn, and even though all my ps owning friends loved to come over and play it none of them would ever admit how much they liked it. Ps had loads more games but most of them were shite, Saturn had fewer but quite alot of good games, but also some truly shit ones

@PierreDeMinuit The biggest disadvantage the Saturn had was that because it's build was so complex, it was extremely difficult to program for. Plus, Sega kind of burned its audience launching it 4 months ahead of schedule and not telling a lot of the programmers who were making the launch titles, and because of that, a lot of stores threw out all things Sega related.

Guardian heroes was one of those system gems that not everyone had, as was Darius Gaiden. And if you try to get them now the price is just silly (both are well in excess of 100 bucks) makes me glad i have it.
