  • Cool.. I went to Jr. and High school with Kendal Sheppard.. never even knew she was in the first scene of this movie.. pretty cool

  • First of all ED GEIN was not a serial killer, the only woman he killed was a lady from the same town who owned a store. He used to get the bodies from the local cemetery. so ED GEIN was not a SERIAL KILLER. And yes ED GEIN did not even look like this guy in the movie.

  • @juancamex

He also killed another lady though, didn't he? Some chicked named Mary...

  • psycho was in 1960 so this movie cant be inspired by psycho

  • did he have sex wit their dead bodies?

  • @IDontHaveOmg no, he claimed that "they smelled too bad"

  • the city that ed gein is from is now called Danbury Wisconsin. my family has a cabin there. if you want me to tell you what he REALLY did then just mesage me

  • i bet gein wished he was that big!

  • i watched the movie they made of him in 2000 last night. wasnt exactly accurae but it was good. i think this one was a bit better

  • This was actually a really good movie...Which is surprising 'cause most of these type of movies suck. =D Well done.

  • Man Ed is so hot I would let him cut me into little pieces and use me as clothes.

  • don't watch this if you are skemish

  • ohhh yeahhh .... !!! there's nothin' like a good ole' warm plate of pasta while repulsive gruesome insanity awaits and prevails...lasagna would have been more suitable than spagetti tho...mmmhmmm yummy~ and damn, i ain't ever quite seen a scene such as that at 23 minutes in- yup yup, good food + good gore = good times !!!

  • Lionsgate, you are some sick mother fuckers, good thing I love sick mother fucking movies :D

  • that man is kane hatter he played 3 jasons from the original friday the 13th movies

  • havn't watched it yet, but ed gein is my favorite cannibal killer. they based numerous characters on him, including norman bates, hannibal, leatherface, buffalo bill etc...wowzers, ok i'll comment after the movie

  • This story is loosely real, but he only actually killed two people, the rest were plunders from graves. The second killing is what got him caught. This version of what happened is really inaccurate but still more accurate than the texas chainsaw massacre/psycho/and silence of the lambs.

  • Yea Gein was a very small man and this guy is huge...n yes this is actually closer to what actually happened than what they claim in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho. If you read about this guy you would know.

  • Scary man :o he looks weird , this story isnt real

  • Yes... he is real.

  • dood i livein Green Lake Wisoncin. my fucking grandpa knew this guy. thats rad

  • kane hodder is sooo fucking awsome!!!!!

  • good fuckin movie

  • is this a full length movie?

  • i hate that this character is like huge, gein was 5 5 and really small

  • @gibb8844 This char was played by Kane hooder who also played jasson from friday 13th new blood and up. Yeh he is rather big.

  • He is said to be a really nice guy and does a lot of work with burned children after his accident in 1980

  • disturbing that people can be soooo mental/psycho!!

  • this movie is logerzz ...shit is nice

  • plus eddy was charged with only two murders he grave robbed alot

  • 45:00

    that was one thick tear

  • Jason Vorhees as Ed gein. Who woulda thought?

  • in thu begging when the girl ran outside, it looks like a setting off of the butcher. hmm..good movie.(:

  • jk :P i love u guys

  • "Its hotter than Satan's asshole out here"

  • mutha fucka lived around the corner from me...

  • 23:24

best part hahahaha I think he plays good baseball

  • i lived about 30 miles from were this happened but way before i was born lol

  • I like the way in the movie Ed Gein is 6'5 285 280 pounds of solid muscle but in real life Eddy was about 5'8 maybe 150 pounds

  • ya.

  • How come every scary movie I watch on youtube, there is always some claiming that they live next door to or around the corner from or the knew the killer in these movies? lol. funny

  • Maybe b/c they did.

  • Yeah, it would make sense that people who knew the such killers would be checking out movies etc about them.

  • I used to know someone who had a neighbor that married a 19th cousin of a guy who met ed gein :)

  • this movie is nothing compared to my former neighbor. JEFFERY DAHMER that messed me up so bad that i move to gerogia and i don't even visit milwaukee anymore.

  • YOU LIE ! REALLY ?!

  • i think there is a law against killing people, mr. i'm just borrowing body parts. pft.

  • whats up with wisconson, is it the water?

  • way too much fluoride??

  • LOL, I think Statc-X put it the best way: "Wisconson Death Trip"

  • this is the guy who played jason voorhies

  • i live within miles of where all this happend, kinda spooky, alot of people come here too see, when really there is nothing too, his house is burned down, and his grave is not at the graveyard, so dont come here haha, your not missing anything

  • if you want to watch a good movie based on Ed Gein i suggest the movie "Deranged " starring Roberts Blossom

  • ok well thats great and dany that leatherface and those other "folk" were inspired by mr gein. but was, just askin a question, was ed inspired by jack the ripper?

  • ummm, no? He was a nutty redneck

  • lol,Henry Lee Lucas was lazy eye,but yeah, this guy is way to big to be playing Gein

  • Is that Kane Hodder? he's creepy without the Jason getup

  • Psycho is also based of Ed Gain as well.

  • good old eddy

  • texas chainsaw was inspired by ed gein

  • Strange thing about Ed Gein,

He actually ADMITTED he was a Grave Robber, Necrophiliac, and Murderer.

  • I read he denied having sex with the bodies

  • did anyone notice thats the guy frm the goonies

  • The guy in this movie that plays Ed also was Jason in a few of the Friday the 13th movies.

  • Dude is huge

  • wow look at 4:15 the guys name is perfect for the movie he helped make

  • Stick with Deranged for the movies "based on" or "about" Ed Gein. Really tells the story much more accurately then the rest of them..

  • This was a crazy movie but I like horror movies so it good with me

  • ed gein is a legend most people just dont know he is the legend he is the basist for so many horror movies n remakes he will be remember forever in the form of many different characters r.i.p

  • movie such as "texas chainsaw"

  • yeah, like texas chain saw, the silence of the lambs and more.

  • WIERDO he killed people is that something to be proud of?

  • Ed gein died of cancer i think... and he was accused of insanity in court

  • no he died of cartiac arrest he wasold in his 70s trust me im a obsessed with this kind of shit

  • film characters, such as fictional serial killers Norman Bates (Psycho), Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Buffalo Bill (The Silence of the Lambs). The book American Psycho contains several references to Ed Gein, as does the film based on him.

  • correct me if im wrong but im guessing that this is taken place in the 50's? judging by the cars, i would have guessed it.

  • I was on wikipedia, and this is what i saw

"Some neighborhood children, whom Gein occasionally babysat"

0mfg, who would want him to watch their children?!

  • sometimes people put fake stuff in wiki

  • i heard that ed gein as a kid was forced by his mom to worship her as a god and to be her slave with his brother.

  • nah thats not true...i forgot how his story went but all i know that one day him and his brother went to the woods and he killed him

  • i did a project on him...hez in my top 5 most siccest human beingz 2 eva wlk da face of diz earth

  • dude... what the fu ck is wrong with your spelling? i hope to god you dont actually type like that....

and there were alot of people more disturbing than him

Albert fish killed and ate children

Son of sam had a dog that talked to him to kill people

and Jeffrey dahmer killed and ate many people

he definitel would not be in my top 5 most siCKest human beingS TO evER wAlk THE face of THIS earth

  • According to David Sexton, author of The Strange World of Thomas Harris: Inside the Mind of the Creator of Hannibal Lecter, Harris once told a librarian in Cleveland, Mississippi, that Lecter was inspired by William Coyne, a local murderer who had escaped from prison in 1934 and gone on a rampage that included acts of murder and cannibalism.Hannibalwasnt based on Ed Gein the character Buffalo Bill was loosely based on Ed Gein

  • buffalo bill was besed directly on ed gein if u know about your psychos u would know this there is nothin loosely about it buffalo bill was attempting to make a human suit out of the women and in ed gein house they found sever suits made from courpses of women kthanks

  • it reminds me of texas chainsaw massacre whos real name is thomas brown hewitt which people say its true and his house is in austin i also live in texas ishestill alive?

  • Thomas Brown Hewitt = Ed Gein. In other words, Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on Ed Gein. A lot of people believe that Thomas Hewitt is a real person, but he's not. The makers of that movie took the Ed Gein stories and fictionized them. Ed Gein is no longer alive.

  • i think his real name is ed gein and no hes not alive

  • Texas Chainsaw massacre was loosely based off of the Ed Gein killings. However, the title of Texas chainsaw came the headlines in the Texas killings of something like, "Texas chain of saw massacres."

And to the guy being alive still, I have no idea, not sure if anyone really does.

  • no tommy died awhile ago

  • Texas chain saw massacre was made because of him same with Silence of the lambs

  • no one knows if he is still alive the only known picture of him was from the first ever like recording tech back in the 70's and it was pretty bad back then. he killed the 2 cops that went into his house then he vanished and yes his house is in austin you can go into it like a tour

  • His house burnt down the day before it was supposed to get auctioned off. And hes been dead for over 20 years after going into cardiac arrest and his house was in Plainfeild Wisconsin. And after confessing to the murders of two women he was supposed to be executed but was deemed criminally insane and was ordered to live out the rest of his days in an insane asylum

  • >_> you watched the movie remake didn't cha? xB

  • ed gein

  • yes, that was his name.

  • i dont know what happened to him..but when he use to baby sit me, he was a nice guy!

  • it was to easy to get away with shit in the 50's. now if you kill someone your in jail for life the next day.

  • he had a human kidney and a human heart cooking in the frying pan. no electricity, imagine his meats on a hot day?

  • Kane Hodder is in this movie, awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • its interesting, that psychologically...ed gein was a nice guy, from what people say. to me personally i feel that this hobby of his, to kill these innocent people and using their bodies as furniture, or clothing e.t.c; was his way to connect to people. he was a lonely man. so with the things he made with thier skin nd bones, it was his way of knowing people were with him.

  • i shoulnt have eaten my turkey sandwhich while watching this...

    :|

    but amazing movie!

  • In real life he was a nice guy who was coo coo because he was lonely. so he went to graves and dug up their bodies and stuff and planted him in his house. he never killed anyone

  • He killed 2 people.

  • i highly doubt he only killed 2 people, thats probably how many that they proved..

  • i know he killed one woman who was working in a general store and cut her up.

  • uhh no. he killed two people because digging up graves wasn't good enough for him.

  • Uh, do more research, moron.

  • okay for one thing, I am from wisconsin. I personally know people that were babysitted by the guy. And he was honestly a nice person.

  • So Nice that he had Human skulls mounted upon the corner posts of his bed

Human skullcaps used as soup bowls

    An array of shrivelled heads

Skin fashioned into a lampshade and used to upholster chair seats

Skin from the face of Mary Hogan, a local tavern owner, found in a paper bag

    Socks made from human flesh

    At least four noses

A box containing nine vulvae, some of which were salted and one of which was tied with a ribbon in his house...a great guy huh?

  • haha i just read that on wikipedia!

  • he also had a belt made of nipples

  • wikipedia much?

  • he babysitted my great uncle, he even cooked him soup "from home". said it was good, but tasted a little like venison.

  • dude that must be crazy!!!

  • would you honestly let him babysit your kids?

  • ed gein seems like a nice person

  • they exagerated alot. they said he was friendly and baby sat kids in real life

  • Norman Bates from Psycho, Jame Gumb from The Silence of the Lambs, and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are what Ed Geininfluenced

  • I hate the commercials , but I can never complain on free movies ! right ladies ? And gentleman ?

  • word. lol

  • So how does Alex Jones do it then?

  • Reminds me of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

  • He was the guy who inspired it.

  • TCM was based on Ed and his life...to a point. that's why they're similar :D

  • Me, too.

  • Texas Chainsaw was inspired by this guy.

  • it doestn even look like him:/

  • I like the idea of movies and shows on youtube!

  • Kane Hodder and Robert England are The Gods of Horror

  • eddie giens bro died when he was young not when he was an adult they think he mite have killed him also.

  • Is there another movie about Ed Gein? I remember seeing one where his mom appears to him in visions and his house has a ton of shrunken heads in it...

  • Yes there is a nother movie, i think it is called " Ed Gein".

  • Ed Gein inspired and was the basis for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Silence Of The Lambs, as well as Psycho.

  • And dont' forget "Deranged"!

  • So does not look like him!

  • reminds me of saw

  • Ed gein rules

  • Damn, they make Ed Gein a badass in this flick Lol but its cool though, very surprised to see that Michael Berryman was helping him dig up the bodies

  • In the real happenings of Ed Gein, was the sheriff's daughter really taken? I don't remember learning about that..

  • nope ed gein never touched the sheriff's daughter.

  • From what i know, the practices of Ed Gein were the basis of the fictional "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"

  • Hannibal Lecter is not based off of Edward Gein, Buffalo Bill is.

  • I'm glad they cast Kane Hodder for this particular role. Too bad they didn't cast him to play Jason in the latest Friday The 13th film.

  • haha i live about 20 min from where he lived...spooky :)

  • dood. ever visited his old house?

    :O

  • it burned down a long time ago

  • The worst serial killer of them all.

  • Actually that would be Albert Fish imo.

  • It was never proved that he actually killed any more than about one or two people. He really just dug up bodies.

  • Even so that doesn't make it any better or okay. Every single life is valuable and shouldn't be taken for granted.

  • Which is still illegal.

  • awseome

  • way to glorify a serial killer... lol just kidding

  • Kane Hodder is the man. Pretty cool of Lionsgate to feature this.

  • yeah, Leatherface as well as Norman Bates and Hannibal Lecter are based after him

  • Hannibal wasn't inspired by Ed.

    Buffalo Bill was.

  • texas chainsaws based off this guy
