Just as the clip cuts off there is a tune beginning. Anyone who knows the name of it let me know. It sounds like something I heard when I was a kid and probably came out in the sixties sometime. Thanks.
@VirtualBoy500 No, it didn't. The collective stupidity of the internet has jaded me so that I can no longer tell the difference between mock-stupidity and the real deal.
THIS SHOW WAS PRETTY MUCH MODELED AFTER RAP...AND YES I MEAN RAP THE MUSIC. ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN, EVERYTHING THESE DAYS ORIGINIATED FROM HIM HOP, I MEAN EVERYTHING...GOING WITH THAT IDEA, EVEN ELVIS WAS AN EXAMPLE OF EARLY EARLY VERY EARLY RAP METAL, NOW AEROSMITH CREATED THE OFFICIAL "RAP METAL", BECAUSE IN 1974 SWEET EMOTION WAS THE FIRST "RAP" SONG IN THE WORLD.
Progress Island USA??!!!! WTF!!!! No we're f***king NOT! Also, why can't gringos learn to pronounce names and places in Spanish? We have to learn their language, but they can't even make an effort! And people wonder why I went to Europe to study instead of the US! On the other hand... Mike and the Bots, funny as always.
Because sometimes it's just really hard to learn a new language. I mean I'm from mexican descent yet I'm the only person in my entire families history who cannot speak spanish. Yet, whenever I try to learn I'm usually told to stop since I can't say my R's correctly and confuse words with one another. Overall, this doesn't really affect most Americans since the main language here is english in every state. It's not like europe were you need to learn many languages to conduct simple business.
@RockyBalboa211 Yes, learning a new language is difficult, but I feel that if they're going to make a film about a place where most of the names are in Spanish, you should learn how to pronounce things better. I make the same criticism of people from PR who try to act like they can speak English when they really can't. For me, it's all in the attitude, trying to learn a language and having pronunciation problems is fine and normal, but making a film with no regards to the language is pretentious
@RockyBalboa211 Just in case, I'm not disagreeing with you ^_^, I'm just criticizing the hypocrisy of a lot of Americans; they mock Latin Americans for their poor accent in English, but they don't care to learn how to pronounce things in Spanish when needed. In many European countries they don't actually learn several languages (mostly only English as a second language), but I have yet to encounter the same prejudice as in the States, where, ironically, Latin Americans are the largest minority.
@AmayaRamiel: Oh, I totally agree with everything you just said. Yeah, sometimes people can be quite lazy. I mean, I have even heard people mispronounce "San Juan", and I'm always left wondering how they can mispronounce that. I may not know that much spanish, yet I know the correct pronunciation! :D
I just read about Puerto Rico in a Bat. Geo from a coupla years back. The article referenced 'Operation: Bootstrap', and immediately I knew I had to re-watch this!
aye, better than the grooming and looking clean and neat Eisenhowerishy-Utopian-anglosaxony swill the other 50's ones suggested. All in all they are spoofing the agedness of the times in a comical way that hits everyone in the end.
I've never seen this one. I'm at the library. Every time I laugh, the guy next to me gives me a look as if I yelled out, "I'm going to hump your mother!" I guess laughing in the computer room at the library is frowned upon. People need it quiet so they can concentrate on their porn - I mean, work.
@pretorious700 "Room 222" was an ABC comedy back in the early 70's. The opening credits for the show look very similar to the students walking on campus here.
I have to give this short some credit, at least here youre learning some useful geography (well, kinda), instead of "if you dont wash yourself behind the ears you wont be one of us". Besides that, the music is very funky!

"Look, just come here!" and "I'm not sthpeaking to you" are my 1 and 2 favorite MST3K quotes.
Best fucking segment of the series run, imo, and only 2325 viewers.
I don't know if I should feel weird for being different or smart for being more appreciative of talent.
Maybe a mix, fuck it.
