ak47 is not that good of a rifle it's way too inaccurate compared to other rifles and recoils too hard (why only countries short on money use AK-47)
Bad thing is it's gas operated(simple and reliable but makes recoil hell) + a big 7.62 x 39 round is not good for stability
it's only effective for 300 - 400 meters and accurate below 200 meters only
Experts even classify it as a machine gun not an assault rifle

The L-85 doesn't even deserve to be in the top 50. The thing is a peice of junk, it fell apart. Soilders who used it put tape on it to keep it from falling apart. You've obviosly never shot a gun let alone know anything about them.

I've gotta admit, looking at it now, the L85 is kind of, well...RETARDED. It looks like a AUG and a M-16 had a baby, and realized they were related. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it could be perhaps one of the "best Assault Rifles in The World" but it looks just weird. Ah, an H&K though...truly a beauty. Love H&K's USP. Got to fire it with my dad, and I do enjoy using it for a sidearm in airsoft. anyway, just throwing out my random thoughts and opinions...

the AK47 is a wonderful firearm. It's such a simple design, and thats why it is awesome.
Granted that the 7.62x39 is an inferior round to the 5.56 NATO.
My favorite rifle is the M14 though. Because 7.62 NATO is my favorite round

It's pretty sad when pretty much all modern new gun designs look like they were made in China using cheap plastic. The Bushmaster ACR (1:58) looks like it should have an orange tip. The first image of the TAR looks even worse.
