Was it in 1998 or 1999? -In one year the 306 had 2 overall wins in the World Rally Championship ;-)

Your comment shows you don't know much about rallying. Otherwise you'd know that RWD is less effective on rallying than AWD and FWD. One thing is to drive in a flamboyant way (easier to do in a RWD car), other is to drive really fast, as fast as possible - just ask Loeb about it. ;)
