@V1AHHHH I always wondered that too and it happens in all of these teacher-student sitcoms. Within a few episodes it seems the students not only know where their teacher lives but is constantly crashing their pad on a regular basis. Granted back when these shows were being made the teacher-student relationship wasn't as stringent as it is today but still.

From what I have seen from this pilot, the only things wrong with it were the forced laugh tracks(an unfortunate staple in 80's sitcoms)and how quickly Michael's character suddenly wants to open up(I guess with only 20 minutes of screen time it can be overlooked). This actually seemed to have a more mature feel to it, than the series that did air and the SBTB series after it. As much as I enjoyed the franchise, it would have been nice to have this instead, with Zack and Kelly as well.

Michael was played by Jonathan Brandis, who later starred in Ladybugs and Seaquest. He committed suicide when he was 27 years old. Kind of weird that this show is dealing with the theme of a young death.
