  • I'll admit, he's an amazing athlete and very instinctive football player, but half of this performance was due to that Griz right tackle. How on Earth did they get to the title game with that guy, let alone take care of Sidbury?! Man... he is shit

  • I sure hope the Falcons give this guy a chance at a starting position. Who cares if Jamal Anderson was a first round pick....the guy sucks and we need to win games!!!

  • what's the name of this song?

  • welcome to the A sid. taking jamal andersons place will be very easy. jamal is a bust, not even a bust, cuz he wasnt all that at arkansas

  • everette brown has a better spin move than sidbury..it will interesting to see who gets more sacks this season..i am going to say brown

  • He's going to be one of the biggest steals in the draft. It may take time for it to show though because (DE) seems to be the hardest positions to play in the NFL.

  • ooo the falcons got a big one to replace that bug time bust jamal anderson..i think this guy will be like robert mathis from the colts...

  • I like this guy. Incredible NFL potential. Good speed, decent strength, knows how to get to a Quarterback.... Only thing I can see him needing to shape up on is not relying on that spin move to the inside, so much. Moat top-flight NFL RTs would take him to the ground if he just kept falling back on that like he seems to here. I mean, he is good with the other moves. He can bullrush OK, and his swim is looking pretty, but he doesn't mix it up, enough... yet. If he fixes that, he's golden.

  • best spin move ive seen out of any college or pro lineman. He will be a good replacement for jaamal Anderson (big bust. our first round pick from '07)

  • I like what I've seen, but I hope he's got more than just that spin move.

  • That spin move he has is RIDICULOUS!!!

  • Welcome to Atlanta!

    -.A-TowN.

  • what a steal in the 4th round !!!

DIRTYBIRDS gonna win nfc south for next ten years!!!

  • Just another great pick by TD & Co.... As high as I am on "tough as a two dollar steak" CB, Christopher Owens, when ATL took him in the 3rd, I was bummed because I thought the Falcons lost ANY chance of picking up Sidbury. So many years of horrible drafting in ATL has made me extremely nervous on Draft Day. But since TD came to town, he seems to pull a rabbit out of his hat nearly every round. I just need to relax and trust the Mad Russian, :) Welcome to Atlanta, Lawrence Sidbury!!!

  • can we say beast mode? the kid is crazy good, they said on espn that he developed a computer program that predicts plays on defense....very interesting. I'm glad he's a Falcon now. Can't wait to see him trade sacks with the rest of our D-Line!

  • dude's a beast. he's 266 pounds and ran a 4.53 40

  • hopefully he will be willing to learn from John Abe

  • YO! I'm from Richmond. Sid is sick! Falcons gon be nasty. Dude got a hella burst and I know John Abraham gon teach em some moves on the d-line. We got our defense baby....not its time to set up shop for that superbowl run.

  • this dude is sick. welcome to a-town baby.

  • This is definitely signaling the end for Jamaal Anderson. Re-signing Davis, getting Bierrman and now Sidbury.

    Goodbye Jamaal!

  • I think Jamaal just moves inside to DT to back up Jerry and Babineaux. He is not an NFL starter anywhere in my opinion, but may be ok as a backup.

  • The Falcons coaches have said that they want to play Anderson inside some this year and that they want to use some "elements" of the 34 D. Sidbury ran a 4.5 at the combine and is an honor student. I think that the Falcons will use him as a situational pass rush specialist at first since his run D reportedly needs work....they need to coach him up some.

  • Exactly...use em as a rusher then he'll grow and become a complete d-lineman. He has a lot of upside.

  • He does have a lot of upside, but he's stepping waaay up in competition level so don't be disappointed if he doesn't flash early....he has a lot to learn.

  • YEah...I don't expect him to be a top notch guy from day 1 but at least get more sacks than Jamal anderson got. He sucks.......Sidbury will learn from John Abe and from the great d-line coach.

  • I think that Jamal will do better on the inside...he is stout vs the run and he has room to add some bulk...he could be a great quick/ 1 gap DT. He's not quick enough to out-step most OTs consistently...Let's see how he fares inside.

  • Nah...I won't jamal anderson gone. Thats why we picked Sidbury. Plus, we have kroy bierrman. Falcons already have Jonathan Babs and we just drafted Jerry WHO WILL START. Anderson has one more year to prove something or he's gone. He's taking too much cap space.

  • The Falcon coaches have alreadt said that they plan to play him inside more. Sidbury won't be ready to go full time yet....remember, he's from D2 competiton level and needs to develop better run stopping chops. The biggest problem the Falcons had last year was run D and JA is good at that. D line play isn't just about sacking the QB...if you can't stop the run, you lose.

  • I didn't say that Sidbury will start. I'm saying he is the future. And stopping the run? Thats what Jerry is for plus we got Lofton and Peterson to cover that. Babs is good at stopping the run too. That won't be a problem. ITs about being effective every down and Anderson for being a first round pick while guys like A.P. and Patrick Willis still being on board isn't cutting it. Sidbury may be the next Dwight Freeney.

  • Give me a break with this D2 shit man i have watch Sidbury for the past 2 years and the guy is a monster App state beat Mich and he bested on that O-Line. 90% of Montana team came from D1 BCS schools and Richmond is NOT a d2 school dummy they are D1 FCS= old D1 AA they have never been a D2 school. and in this game he had 4 sacks by his self 2 more than Jamal Anderson has had in 2 years. Sidbury can play the run.

  • Richmond is lower level competition...period. NFL scouts say that Sidbury needs to improve his run defense..so take that one up with them. I like the kid, but Richmond to the NFL is a BIG jump...so give urself a break, man.

  • LMAO the scouts come on man are you for real? Scouts also said they Ryan Lef would make a great NFL QB LMAO look at that. Go look at alot of these D1 FCS roster and see what schools they came from and then say they level is under a Major college. This the same Richmond Team that should have beat UVA last year. The same Richmond team that beat App State and Jame Madison and Montana all teams that "Pro Analzys" said they couldn't and wouldn't beat.

  • If you would have put Sidbury on any D1 BCS he would have went in front of Curry. He is the best Pass rusher in this year Draft, If you look at our DEF and it's sad to say but this year draft could easy be number 1's on our team now. Owens is a way Better CB than Houston, Middleton is a way better CB then Jackson or Hutchin, Sidbury is a way better player than J.Anderson and Jerry is probably the best DT we have just undersize to play NT in a 4-3. Babs is a monster.

  • tell that to marques colston,,hofstra to one of the best wrs in the nfl..or to brian westrbrook from vilinova to in my opinion the best rb in the nfl or to robert mathis from alabama a & m to a pro bowl DE at 247IBS...trust me my friend it can be done..i think the problem is scouts pay too much attention to what level a players plays on..if a guy can play, i will draft him..Who cares what the experts think? Jaamal Anderson bust, robert meacheam bust....the list goes on...

  • its not DII, its fcs...plus fans like u are reason why great FCS and DII players get overlooked..LIke I said If a player has 45 ints in his career at an fcs school, u mean to tell me u wouldn't draft him high cause he played IAA or FCS as it is now called..Steve mcnair, joe flacco, and tony romeo came from fcs schools and so did the titans CB Cortland Fiineegan..Bottom line if u can play, i will give u a shot....

  • I'm with you. If Sidbury pans out like it looks he might, we can get Jamaal Anderson out of our systems. For what they paid him they may as well have kept Kerney.

  • can u document that?

b/c i've been saying that since like March lol

and I was hoping I wasnt the only one who thought that

that seems like it would be a great fit

  • Bama I read it in the AJC...they said that he clocked a 4.53 at the combine. I tried to link it but U Tube wouldn't let me. The official at the combine seems to be 4.63 but guys that run a 4.63 don't run track in college...even at Richmond. The kid can moce and with Abraham teaching him how to dip his shoulder. Plus we have Gonzo teaching our emerging WRs all the route running tricks...nice veteran leadership for these young guys.

  • His frist run on the 40 at the combine was a 4.53 i will try and get a DVD record and upload it on my page but the official time was a 6.43 and my homeboy told me at his proday he ran a 4.59 so he has the speed alot of people are sleeping on him but if you look at my videos i have been saying this guy was a late 2 early 4rd round talent. I also said we would get him.

  • I love how all of us falcons fans rushed to youtube and checked out vids of our latest draft pick!! Love the dedication guys...welcome to atlanta lawrence!!!

  • yea i agree

  • you aint lyin haha...

  • I Think He Will Be A Factor On Our D-Line With Him On One Side And Abraham On The Other.. With Peria And Jamaal In The Middle.. We Will Have A Very Very Solid D-Line This Year!.. Welcome To The Falcons!

  • welcome to atlanta

  • this guy looks way better than jamaal anderson. Nice spin move and hes quick. Welcome to atlanta!!!!

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG CALLED ??? ANY1???

  • that poor tackle...a mismatch

  • titans pick him up no doubt

  • great athlete i think the only knock against him is he is comin from a small school. i think if he had came from a big school like LSU or USC, he will be a sure first round pick.

  • Why this song exactly?

  • browns in round 2

  • I hope hes around at 41 when the Packers are up in the 2nd round.

LMAO that is pure comedy...i like this dude

  • Sidbury: Solid

    Song: Questionable

  • looks a lil small for the nfl

  • he is 6'2 and 266lb

  • man he would be great for the chiefs

  • plz come 2 tha texans

  • Whats the song?

  • It's Sonny J.

  • i hope the pats pick this guy hed fit perfectly in their 3-4

  • Bucs third round pick.

  • The Next #90 of the carolina panthers!

  • i hope so dude, we better get good value for peppers, and if hurney wasn't on the phone trying to send peppers to new england in a 3-way for cutler he should be fired.

  • The next Osi Umenyiora i totally agree

  • He was the best D-End at the Combine today. Straight killed it! 4.55

  • 1st thing I notice is the explosiveness

  • Plays like Osi Umenyiora

  • Grea talent! Could be a late pick for us. Stupid song for a football vid! GO BILLS!!!!!!
