From Fall of 1986-Spring of 1999 Carver ROARED then Bowlsby screwed it up by forcing Dr. Tom Davis out and started a downfall of Iowa basketball that they haven't fully recovered from, although Fran McCaffery appears to be on the right track.
@dennydog10 I just returned from the Iowa/Iowa State Basketball game 2011... As a lifetime Hawkeye fan let me say that we looked AWFUL... defense leaves guys open all over the court...offensively they don't get anyone open and guys who are open don't shoot. The full-court press doesn't look ANYTHING like the Tom Davis press. I won't say it's DOOMS day with Fran McCafffery but ut's his second year and we don't look good this year. DO YOU THINK TOM DAVIS WOULD COME BACK AND COACH AGAIN AT IOWA?
