When I worked assisted living we had a resident who kept a Jack Russell in her room...he could jump all the way up from the floor and bite her nose...and she wasn't short (probably 5'7''ish pretty tall for an elderly lady)

No thanks, we did the terrier route before, he dug up our central air unit, escaped regularly, chewed woodwork through the house and bit my children's feet when they swung on the swings (every time). I like to look but not own. Not for many years at least.
