  • Nice vic

  • Eww the special edition P71 with a silver grill I dislike the silver grills on the police interceptors.

  • The car is fine, its cold that why you can see the exhaust. And for all the people saying its not a cop car, do you not see the three antenae holes in the trunk? Its a Street Appearance P71. Very nice car man!!!

  • Silly youngsters, must have never seen a brand new car running outside in the cold. Same thing as here, water vapor coming out of the exhaust, taste it and if it's sweet it's antifreeze! Surely not the case here.

  • Crown vics look the best in gray and blue

  • @rompn4x they look good in black to don't u think mines grey

  • Exhaust smoke looks like that on a cold day, more so when the engine hasn't heated up yet. No big deal chill out

  • Sex ass P71 God Damn It Looks Good

  • who's the fag that keeps giggling and making stupid comments throughout this dorky video?

  • @gingervytis haha i agree. listen at :28 enough said.

  • sounded like he said that smells awesome The Smoke Hahahhahahah

  • most of these cars have NI Cruise control which sucks.

  • To all the rude people...Some CVPIs have crown victoria badging. My 2003 is a former detective car and has a spotlight and antennas on the trunk so i guess its depends on what your dept ordered.

  • Dont care for the chrome trim. Not bad though.

  • someone please help me what is that liquid coming out of the exaust? is that gas??

  • water..condensation

  • @INUROK ok thanks so much!

  • @INUROK ok thanks so much!

  • You whacker!

  • i belive its the street appearence pack because of the bucket seats in the front

  • It has the chrome trim like a civilian model, or the Street Appearance Package, the civilian body side moldings. and amber rear signal lenses. Looks more like a P73 to me, with centercaps and trim rings added. Unless it's a Street Appearance P71.

  • This not exactly a police interceptor. I mean, you do not have any of the police gear, no flashing lights or siren. Bet you do not even work for the police so why is this a so-called police interceptor?

  • because it was decomissioned from the police department. and whenever the police department sales these cars to civilians that have to take out all sirens and light by LAW

  • Mine doesn't have any of the lights or anything and the car name on the title is "Crown PI" is that enough for ya?

  • I dont understand why these cars are so fucking so. I mean its a cop car and it does 0-60 in 8.7seconds? Thats lame a honda civic is faster.

  • kinda dozed off-waiting for the "joe sells the cv: to totally just end the saga-- god help us all

  • o man he turned the his signal on, i think i am going to cum in my pants.

  • Just the valve stem guides seals.

  • Comment removed

  • uhm your smoke out of the exhaust is blue... that means you got some serious head gasket problems.

  • lol ur retarded the never die i saw one that had over 450 thousand on the first engine

  • your retaded it you have it low on oil and shit any motor will blow fucking dumb ass

  • NO SHIT im talkin about a sane person taking care of it. only retards dont keep up on regular maintenance

  • Many 4.6 cars have that problem. Valve seals are leaking but its no major concern

  • @mahmos5 could also be burning oil, u got burnt piston rings possibly, u never know

  • @mahmos5 NO stupid.... it the "smoke" were white it would indicate head gasket.

  • @mahmos5 Its the camera quality. You can tell that the crown vic is brand new. I doubt that a brand new crown vic interceptor would have head gasket problems...

  • @mahmos5 that's just the steam coming from the exhaust because the engine was cold. My car actually did have head problems and it produced a hole hell of a lot more smoke than that.

  • @mahmos5

    uhhhhh no it doesnt .,,,,,

  • @mahmos5 you are wrong,,this car smokes in cold weather and after it rains do to the egr valve and some other crap that saves gas,,thats not blue at all,,mine will do the same all the time and i burn zero oil every 3000 miles,,,,its only after rain and when its cold out side,,,,

  • @mahmos5 ur smart rnt u? blue is oil white is water/coolant

  • y they so cheap

  • I thought that the police used Vauxhall Astras and Vectras...and Volvo V50s, V70s and sometimes Ford Mondeos...

  • Those cars are used in england, these are used in america. Crown Vics are used because they're cheap, simple, and have V8 power.

  • oh right....

  • @tadpole5555 they are also heavy, this allows them to pit someone without really getting spun out themselves.

  • nice

how much cost a police interceptor???

  • depends where yu buy one they can be $1500-4000+

  • depends

    my 2000 was 2500

    my 2001 i bought today was 650

  • yeah, they just peel off the police interceptor insignia on the left rear trunk. so i just peeled one off my brother's cruiser and put it on my car

  • My 98 CV PI doesn't have the "Police Interceptor" stamp on the back either. It was white but it was painted black and I guess they didn't put the stamp back on. I'm not too sure if all CVs have the trunk release button under the radio on the dash but that's where mine is, and on the title is does say CV PI.

  • Sometimes department paint the car after OEM when they do this they remove the titles and sometime just bother to put them back. Common to see the "Ford" emblem removed of uniformed cars. Sometimes if they paint the lighting panel they leave "Police Interceptor off" Also they may have broke it. It's only pushed in not screwed in so you pry it off to paint.

  • O ok, I also realized that the 1998 P71 don't have the "Police Interceptor" stamp on the back, they put it on the 99's and up.

  • that is not a Police Interceptor it would say "Police Interceptor" where it says Crown Victoria

  • Not really, Ford offers a "street appearence paackage" for its police interceptors. Part of this package consists of crown vic badging as opposed to P.I. badging. When in doubt look for the "P-71" in the V.I.N. #

  • That is correct, the P71 can come in street appearance, the MN State Patrols fleet consists of 2 out of 3 cars being street appearance. If it was the civilian version it would say "Crown Victoria XL" normally. If the car says "Crown Victoria" be careful. Also this can has plugs in the trunk lid so I'm going with a retired CVPI and those rims are a dead give away for PI ugly and dull

  • Im not sure if my 94 is a street appearance package as I dont know what that package consisted of in 94. It does say "Crown Victoria" on the decklid. This car was a factory blue color. It had the typical p-71 individual front seats and vynal rear seat, but its got factory cruise, a power drivers seat and a wood trimed dash. Although this is a p-71 the rear doors do open from the inside. The man I bought it from claimed it had been a brecksville Ohio detectives car. Although he was drunk.

  • It's not unheard of a squad car especially a detectives car to have cruise control installed. Personally it drove me nuts when I drove a line car that didn't have cruise. Now all the new cars since 2006 have cruise and power everything. Wood trimmed dash makes it hard to call because that was very uncommon in squad cars but again not unheard of. All cars have whats called childproof locks. You flip a switch on the rear of your car and it disables the ability to open the door from the inside.

  • The best way for you to determine if your car is an "Interceptor" is to look at the VIN number on the drivers door or on the bottom of the windshield on the drivers side how to ell on the VIN Number

This is the VIN to a Basic Crown Vic "2FALP73W8VX232555" note the fourth letter is a P then is the 73, if there is 73 on the car is basic crown Vic. In the Crown Vic XL the number is 74, in taxi cabs it's 72 in Police interceptors it's 71 this is PI VIN "2FAHP71W73X199893" that's how you tell.

  • Correction Rear door of the car there is switch, flip it to "Engaged" and that door will not open from the inside. This feature is standard on all cars that were issued operating certificate in the US since 1982.

  • Nice trim rings. My 2000 P-71 puts the rattle trap caprices to shame. Fords dont rattle apart after 100k miles like the typical G.M. wannabees. This is why Ford has allways been the #1 extreme usage Police vehicle....

  • i don't like it,the chevy caprice is better,much better

  • Nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Beautiful car Joe .

  • I'm wondering how ugly that peace of shit can be, that's why.

  • Nice spelling there

  • fuckin ugly car

  • Then why did you watch it?

  • I think suzukikatana50 is dead wrong and a troll, but why do people always ask "why did you watch it" anytime someone leaves a negative comment. Is this like eBay now--you're only allowed to leave positive "feedback?" j/k Hint: if people don't watch a video, they can't know what's in the video to comment on--positive or negative. ANYWAY, beautiful car--I would buy in a heartbeat.

  • Report officers anonymously to the IRS and the FBI if you see them suddenly coming into money and buying expensive items, as they may be involved in illegal activities.

  • Usually the ones who hate cops are lawbreakers and trouble makers, and just a plain nuisance, and a wast of space and air, which in turn make you not counted in our society..

  • the cars that the police drive have nothing to do with the drivers they r just being used

  • i know a mechanic who maintains the police cars according to him the 92 to present vics are far more reliable and have a better service record than the 79-91 generation

  • For all those that have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about, this is a P71 CVPI. Ford sells the P71 with a Street Appearance Package since 1999 that looks like the civilian model and that is what this is. The chrome trim, grille, fascia are all correct and the "Crown Victoria" emblem is correct. It is simply a P71 with option Street Appearance 60B as ordered from Ford when new. Reading all these posts I can see just how misinformed people really are about what they actually are.

  • Mine has Crown Vic on the rear does this mean any thing? No it doesnt. I have a P71 undercover model and its mid ways in the vin#. So before you talk no what it is you are talking about and this go out to all.

  • I know but he doesent show the vin adn he says its police ,,,

  • gotta check tha vin code to see if its a police interceptor p71 in the vin means it is nething diffrent its not looks got nothing to do with it

  • i think these fags are from mn

  • it is a police interceptor in some states they make u strip it down almost like it never was a cop car but here in missouri they just take off the lights and sirens sometimes leave a radio in it......spotlight they have still.......but the cars last forever but usually if u buy a retired one they been through hell

  • this is not a police interceptor its just a normal crown vic it dosent have lights and it dosent have a siren speaker near the rear mirror why do you say that?

  • I Agree!

  • first off, you are right that it is not an interceptor. but what are you talking about w/ the siren speaker by the mirror? Those are spotlights dumbass. lights and speakers dont make it an interceptor. look for the badging on the trunk (left side). but yea, this is not one.

  • Check my video out and tell me mine is noy a P71, it has Crown Victoria on it, lower left. You can buy a badge off of Ebay for 6bucks; if I put that on a civilian vic then in your wisdom it would be a P71, right? Wrong!!!

  • IT says Police Interceptor on the back left.

  • No, it says Crown Victoria

  • As other people mentioned, this is a police interceptor. It has what ford calls the "Street Appearance Package."

  • so it never had spotlights installed? like a detective car, i'm used to seeing the spotlights.

  • 500 hp

  • how many hp do those put out?

  • 239

  • This car IS a Police Interceptor. One of the options was deletion of black trim and CVPI badging. These cars are used for unmarked assignments or admin but are full police package. If you look closely, it DOES have dual exhausts. These are great unmarked traffic cars as folks don't see us as easily.

  • are u sure that a police interceptor thats a weird look for one usually there stripped of the chrome and have alloy wheels .....

  • for the crownvic those r my fav wheels with the chrome

  • this is not a police interceptor and doesnt even have a performance and handling package

  • u can have the spot lights on it as long as they r not red or blue and must be facing down... the interceptor emblem on the back u can also have.. its the name of the car just like (crown victoria) decals like having the word POLICE on ur doors is illegal but that one is just a guess... duh!

  • Having the lights, emblems, or decals on the vehicle is illegal.

  • I would like to get a crown vic. For my first car. Could You take a video of your dads crown vic?

  • beautiful car. I think my next vehicle is going to be one of those.

  • no lights?

  • cool P71

  • i would check you title because that is a 1999 you can tell by the trim and and the lack of the police interceptor emblim

  • i have a black 2000 p71... fun =)

  • like the 2001 crown :) i have the same and yeah its a great car

  • nice very nice:D
