Its just sad. Vivien I believe was far more talented than larry and all he cared about was his career. Vivien deserved to be happy, it's such a shame she had to fall like that.
thank you very much for posting this very interesting documentary. it is really a sad ending. also, they did not mention vivien leigh's partner, jack merivale at all, which was a bit of an omission.
after "A streetcar named desire" she never recovered herself , i am sorry that their story didn't ended with HAPPY END, vivien was an incredibly beautifoul woman and such a great actress, olivier as well , they were a great couple .
Thank you for posting, though this story, although I know it, always leaves a bitter taste... I love the image Jakobi, Gambon, Bates keep of Larry. By the way, could anyone tell me what is Michael Gambon talking about, just before saying they all smoked Olivier's Benson&Hedges? "Copper".. what? Thanks in advance ***
It seems that people are kind of coming out now and saying how Larry's marriage to Joan wasn't as "happy" as he always made it out to be (not in this doc obviously but in books and such). Though in my opinion it was for the best that he and Vivien parted and I'd be happy if he really did find happiness and peace with Joan, it really does seem like it was a rebound marriage and a really strange dynamic. I believe Tarquin when he said Viv was the love of Larry's life.

Thank you for posting. I loved it. Vivien Leigh was my favorite actress. How beautiful she was. The most beautiful of all.

Thanks for sharing this great documentary with us. It was interesting to watch. But also very sad how her illness broke down their marriage...

I think it talked WAY more about Larry than it did Viv. Still, interesting to watch all the same. Thanks for putting it up!
