Helicopterflying is about POWER. You can see that there is almost no more additional POWER available except to just keep the machine hovering. Then when you leave ground effect during acceleration and you are not fast enough exactly this will happen. Correct would have been to abort take off early enough and then offload some weight.

@robertgift the blades didn't actually stop, the way the camera works is by taking pictures really really fast, and it was taking pictures when the blades were in the same spot as they spin around

that chopper is is fake because chopper when crashes it drops down quickly look at 0;43 the front rotor shuts down but the chopper doesn't drops quckly but i think its an rc chopper

@Jay16King it didn't but i see where your comin from, the rotor blade was spining so fast that it looks like it stopped and also the heli is turning the same direction which also adds to it, you can see the blades hit the post and then slow down and which is when it looks like it starts spinning again. :)

It was a technical malfunction. Not human error.

Colombia actually has some of the best helicopter pilots in the world. They have been in a war against two terrorist organizations for more than 60 years. So.. yeah.

Fighting in jungles is much different than fighting in a desert. I though Vietnam tought
