  • maybe jim should be PM now!haha

  • The EU is not the only group to pay farmers to produce food, and then pay them to destroy it. The US does the same thing.

  • @KellAnderson

Yup, and the farm subsidies also ensure that virtually all sweetened foods use high fructrose corn syrup rather than sugar which not only tastes better but is much healthier.

The hand in the jacket stance was popularised by Napoleon though he wasn't the first to do it.

  • Did Humphrey say 'Prime Minister' at 1.30 ??? cos he hasn't got it yet lol OR did Humphrey say 'arr Minister' its a bit confusing.

  • @johncharnley1 He says, "Ah, Minister." :)

  • Haha... the British Napoleon... God, you've got to love Mr Hacker. Brilliant chap.

  • If only they still made shows like this.. problem is, no-one has the class to do it anymore, and they'd only spoil it with sex, nudity and other vulgarity if they attempted to anyway!

  • @psshhhht1987 So true. 'The Thick of It' is often called the modern response to 'Yes, minister', but it lacks the class, depth and pure comedic values of the original so much.

I don't think we'll ever se the show as good as 'Yes minister' :(

  • @psshhhht1987 hmm i dont know its not always a bad thing. Like the equivalent in drama at the time of yes minister was house of cards and there was sex and nudity in that.

  • Epic WIN! :-)

  • His speech is as funny as it is racist :D I love how he says "the europeans" like he's not one of them. Got love the brits

  • Hacker's face is priceless at the end, amazing stuff.Wish they'd continue. But sadly that time has passed.I miss yesteryears, especially the time when Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister were still running strong :) May the souls that have left us rest in peace.

  • How unrealistic. How could one imagine a politician being brought down by an Argentine mistress.....

  • @Viljarism , the Gov. of (was it North or South) Carolina was brought down by jis Argentinian mistress!

  • And thus are leaders chosen.

  • Superb and timeless.

All these years later, the scintilating acting and writing of the characters in this series has found little to compete with it.

Maybe the ones who press 'dislike' are merely reflecting that they are envious of such achievement and that more current televisual offerings will in no way endure the passage of time in such fine form.

    Yours,

    Sir Humphrey Appleby.

  • My favorite T.V. series of all time

  • @adeafningsilence

    Mine as well!

  • Is is is.it.it ..me?

    Yes, Prime Minister

  • Thanks so much for posting this. The writers and actors are geniuses. I have often wondered how the actors manage such a long and intricate script while still managing to maintain their impeccable comic timing. It appears to be a sort of filmed play, without doing extra "takes." I'd appreciate any information if anyone knows more about the show. Thanks again. This is comedy as good as it gets.

  • Hahaha 2:00

It's André Maranne (played François, from Pink Panther against Herbert Lom's Dreyfus!) LOL!

  • ha ha the look on his face when he hears it :D :D amazing

  • Thanks for posting!
