awesome! I am going to post it on my facebook website "Barbra Streisand en Espanol" for the fans. Btw, you could a start a second video including her high notes from "My Man";Great Day"; "how lucy can you get?"; "What are you doing the rest of your life"? "some enchanted evening"; "prisoner" and so many more!
I seriously watch this over and over and so freaking amazed. She's amazing. Just simply amazing. The best singer/vocalist/woman who has ever lived. She's crazy good. I never thought such an amazing, beautiful woman could ever exist on this planet.
Hello, Im a mexican fan o Barbra Streisand and I have 2 questions about these songs. PLEASE, someone can tell me what are tha songs from 1:44 to 2:22 and PLEASE from 3:58 to 4:50 . Please and thank you. Greetings from Mexico.
I appreciate this video because it shows that Barbra's range is among the greatest. I keep hearing Barbra is no Gladys Knight or Aretha or whatever and she doesn't need to be. She has a spectacular range and will always be one of the greats.
BTW, she will be celebrating her 50th anniversary in the recording business in 2012! So, she's been recording for 48 1/2 years and has been professionally singing since 1960!! What an amazingly long and wonderful career this girl has had! And, she's still going strong! With her last studio album going to #1, that makes her the only recording artist in history to have a number 1 album in each of 5 consecutive decades!!! WOW!

WOW!!! Well, I knew the ol' girl had it and still has much of it at 68! Boy, you included sooo much on here, yet amazingly there is still even more great moments. Like: the last note of "Before The Parade Passes By," the ending of "Great Day," the last note of "Make Our Garden Grow," the transitional held notes in the middle of "Starting Here, Starting Now" and "Kiss Me In The Rain" ... OMG, the girl is a phenomenon! Thank you for posting this! What fun!!!
That was terrific! Thanks. I think Barbra photographs absolutely beautifully. All those images of her are so lovely. I was a fan before she was all that famous, stayed a fan for many years, waned a bit in more recent times; but when I hear her and see her, all the love and admiration I feel for her comes pouring back in. Thanks again.
a great collection and like no other they span many decades who would have thought the funny girl would do a star is born and yentl such emotion and control and clarity love her
Everyone talks about Barbra Streisand's tone, the one that inspired all those comparisons to the world's smoothest condiment. They also speak of her range, which mirrors the distance between the depths of the Grand Canyon and the peaks of Everest. Her lung power invites equal comment; Small wonder since, at full bore, it can flatten a town.
There is no such thing. People like you spam Wikipedia with bullshit theories about so called belting.
Either you pull up chest by shoutig, or you go through your bridges. One must larn to sing in a connected and supported manner. Opera singers do it with unnaturally low larynx.
Heady voice, light voice with less support (and more tension in the throat), airy voice - it's all bad unless done for stylistic purposes only.
b) I wasn't going by the definition of "belting" as something that is strictly executed in a guttural, forceful, unsupported chest voice. Perhaps in classical circles, that is the connotation it has...but that isn't what I meant by it. One can pull off a "belty" quality in pure head voice if they exercise proper breath support.
Perhaps that's what it means in its proper/most common context, but that is not at all what I was trying to imply.
What a tribute to the greatest artist ever. This is awesum. I have got all these songs but would love a compilation of them all on my Ipod. Must try and get it done. She is the absolute epitome of tonal perfection, and vocal excellence.
damn that note from A Piece of Sky is earth shattering.......There will never be anyone like her again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So much talent and even after all these years could still outsing any new singer....
A brilliant, historical compilation. There are many great singers, but there has never been nor will ever, ever be as singularly gorgeous, unique sound and phrasing in the entire history of international popular music. Barbra Streisand's musicianship is irreproachable. No one touches her sound of genius. She remains the most gorgeous, breathtaking singer of any era.
Here are the other titles ... 16 We're Not Making Love Anymore 17 I Believe In Love 18 I Got Rhythm 19 Am I Blue 20 Since I Fell For You 21 On Holy Ground 22 Three Little Pigs 23 When The Sun Comes Out 24 Piece of Sky 25 I Got Rhythm Let me know if you need the album names
Here you go ... 1 On A Clear Day (You Can See Forever) 2 Don't Rain On My Parade 3 My Man 4 Being Alive 5 If I Loved You 6 Mother 7 My Man 8 He Touched Me 9 Starting Here, Starting Now 10 Woman In The Moon 11 The Main Event 12 You'll Never Walk Alone 13 You And I 14 Stoney End 15 Avé Maria
Where's "No More Tears"? Isn't that one of the longest ones also?! I was waiting for it hehe.. otherwise top job, love the ending and beautiful pictures, even a few I've never come accross, thank you for sharing!!! =)
