The King is SUCH a nice guy! I saw him on the kid's show, "The Big Blue Marble" & he was genuinely nice. No-one can fake that --not even a Royal. I wish him the best of everything! I think he's teaching his daughter how to be as compassionate, wise, strong, and good-humoured as he is. (Qute a task--but I think he can do it!) Pss. V seems SO in love with Daniel Westling! What makes her happy makes her dad happy! So..it IS Daniel Westling! They'll b great tgether, you'll see!

Just one problem, the swedish constitution says that the heir to the throne can't be married to the heir of another throne, or the ruler of another nation.
@Suecorum Even if it wasn't in the constitution I think that would create a problem for BOTH nations...which country would win out? One or the other would have to step aside and give up their respective throne. Imagine if Prince Frederik (before he married Mary) had wanted to marry Princess Victoria-as crown prince and princess of their respective nations one would have to step down. That would be a real dilemma!
BTW I wonder where Prince Frederik was at 2:27-he isn't in the photo!

Beautiful video, very humerous, but at the same time exactly what I have been thinking!! I hope Victoria marries Daniel, he seems to be a decent man; I don't live in Sweden, so I don't get the tabloid look at him(ie, every single mistake he's ever made), but from what I have seen, he seems like he'd be a good modern royal consort.
The man who marrys CP Victoria will have to be very secure. He will become Sweden's Duke of Edinburg; forced to walk behind his wife. CP Victoria will be the one he must defer to, at least in public. Is there such a man out there? And will her husband, upon her ascention to the throne, become King?
That's Daniel Westling, Crown Princess Victoria's current boyfriend and who she will most probably marry. At least it looks like that right now. Mr Westling is from the small Swedish town of Ockelbo. He owns a gym i Stockholm and that's where he and Crown Princess Victoria met. He was her personal trainer. He seems nice to me - as long as she's happy.
to think about it again, i think daniel isnt that bad though. now 9mths later, i guess he could be the next prince consort. damn i feel different now that i'm turning 18 soon. sheesh!

He will not become king. He will become Prince (in Swedish "prins") or Prince Consort (prinsgemål).
