@Friedhelm63 - I am planning on going Shark diving in Bahamas but I have real issues with my ears when I go too deep. So I am thinking of just snorkeling...I was just curious about the depth there.
No, but have seen single Galapagos sharks come up from the deep to chase splashing/panicked people taking blue water ocean swims from boats. They didn't bite... actually calmed down, when I was the only one left in the water, staring at them.
My remark was based on lots of shark TV, and WEB / photography videos, showing Tiger sharks and others attacking Vid cams, and Flash units. I am a photographer, just trying to be as safe as I can.
I expect to have more encounters in the coming season.

@Incandesent - That will be not a problem. I was snorkeling too and the shaks came close.
Have a lot of fun.
Cheers

No, swallowed the video camera. Ate it.
Left the guy alone, just stopped the camera noise by eating the camera.

Correction... Tiger shark ATE a Vid cam. The guy let him have it.
Certain camcorders and strobes make humming sounds, attract sharks.

but he didnt actually eat it all, he spit it out.
