@forby24 I did some looking into it. Nazi Germany used gas chambers with carbon monoxide. I guess their technology wasn't advanced enough? Nowadays, gas chambers use potassium cyanide which triggers a reaction that releases hydrogen cyanide. So it is possible to operate gas chambers with hydrogen cyanide, although sources tell that the Nazis' preferred gas was carbon monoxide at the time.

@forby24 Absolutely, the POWs suffered tremendously. But I think what the difference for people is that POWs, as you put it as well, are people who stood up against the enemy and fought in the war. They knew that the consequences could result in death, they ran the risk. Whereas the Jewish or any other peoples who have gone through genocide were just normal people like you and me who one day got shot for believing in whatever we believe in.
