  • lol i wish our band would play more of his pieces oh and i play flute GO FLUTES !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ah.... I remember playing this at the IMEA performance last year. Gotta love the intro.

  • I'm listening to this...played a clarinet, 1st chair, in my band. Brings back a huge amount of memories from the band... I get teary eyed when listening to this.

  • As a gift, or blessing, I'm the ONLY low brass playing the song, I have a big solo to start out, which is cool. Go low brass!!!

  • Clarinets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gostboy56 aww yeah thats true :)

  • @gostboy56 The flutes are also really good as partners. Obviously the clarinets are the best though! :)

  • I'm from western mass, but i'v heard great things about music brockton. we got to see the brockton wind ensemble perform last year, they won gold. they're program was "hands across the sea" (JP Sousa), "Symphonic Dance #3" (Clifton Williams), and John Barnes Chance's "Incantation and Dance" it was an incredible performance from an incredible high school wind ensemble

  • I'm playing this song in band!

  • We're learning this in band. God, it's so much fun to play as a clarinet. XDD And it's so catchy, it's fun to get stuck in your head. XDD

  • wee play this in our regular band

  • GO BRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guys, this is a professional recording haha

  • Holy Crap 7th-9th Grade! All around great, mature sound!!

  • @mickel1496 It's a professional band, I said I was "going to" play it lol

  • ALTO SAX FTW

  • i so enjoyed playing this 8th grade year. very fun song that turned out very well. plus the solo at 2:14 was given to me but i chose to make it a duet with my second chair since i though he was better than me and felt bad for having the solo.

  • We were supposed to play this for our All West band but we never did :(

  • I love the "Brass Choir" in the beginning. In my band, all the first chairs got to play that part! :-) Go F. Horns!!

  • I always call the Trombone: Tromboner. Valve Trombones don't count. "Respect the Slide!"

  • Ending was epic!!!!!

  • @dwes2145 hell yeah! ever heard the ending to invicta?

  • random2198 do you go to deerpark?

  • This was the first 2 paged song I ever played. This was our first song and my first taste of honor band. I thought our new director was a crazed perfectionist. I just remember: she wrote out the flute solo for me because I was a 2nd and she said: we need a second cause the first's are being wimpy. The six of us (1sts + me) all played the solo.

  • I loved playing the bass clarinet part around 1:40. ^_~

  • @OxyTintin GO FELLOW BASS CLARINET!!!!!! I loved this song because not only was it great but it had a great bass clarinet part!! :D

  • @pistol061 Totally! I think bass clarinetists have a reputation of not knowing what they're doing (well, at my school anyway), but my goodness, it really is a beautiful sounding instrument when you know how to play it!

  • @OxyTintin its not too low, not to high, just right. its the glue that holds all the low voices together, i alternated between bassoon bass clarinet and clarinet in this song and i can honestly say thats true, so tip of the hat (wag of the finger) i love my section and this year its the biggest low wind sectiion (and im section leader) guess what were doin the theme to gladiator for marching season, thats alotta bass

  • @pistol061 this year imma have 4 bass clarinets to teach it too

  • our band played this song on my freshmen year... and oh my god... it makes me feel 4 year younger .....

  • i just love the flute solo!!!!! thumbs up for all flutistes!!!!

  • @TheJuju105 I played the solo when our band went back in time to the begining of the year at 8th grade graduation.

  • we played this as the first song in our 7th/8th grade honors band. the best part is from 1:56 to 3:34. i played 2nd trumpet. 8 months later we sightread this peice in band cause we were bored

  • begining and 1:06 are my favorite parts

  • this is an awesome song.

    just sayin...

  • the one person that unliked this piece couln't hack in the awesomeness

  • well maybe he does has a reason? (srry for sperate posts)

  • i <3 the flute solo but i would never get it... my band teacher hates me for no reason ):

  • I love this song remember playing it in 8th grade.

  • I have never heard that Horn/Alto counter at the end.

  • i play f horn.... what would that qualify as?

  • im playing this for our 8th grade promotion love this song

  • I have a tuba solo

  • I have the Flute Solo!<3:D

  • begining is epic

  • 3:36 whoever played tri. messed up

  • @mandms42 I'm playing 2nd Alto it's very easy once you hear it you can easily follow along with the music.

  • im playing this for my 7th grade concert! LOVE IT!! (:

  • @kontessamae11 Damn! I am a senior and last years freshmen band played this song for a concert. And they sucked!

  • @kontessamae11 well, im not saying were perfect at this song, but i think that we got it down pretty good! Most of the people in our band take private lessons 3 days a week, so were pretty good at this. Our band director loves us! haha :)

  • TROMBONE! PRIDE OF THE SLIDE!

  • @MrDillonpickle it's all bout the slide! heck yeah!

  • @MrDillonpickle I was a flute but I switched to Trombone(x

  • @ShishuCoconut The only sensible thing to do. ;{D

  • @MrDillonpickle But I can't play it, I don't know how to get the perfect embouchure :(
