This album was a big step up for Loudness, from the standpoint of composition, technical (instrumental) level, and even Niihara's vocals (believe it or not). They had almost solidified their 80s sound with this album. On previous albums they seemed to have a bit of an identity crisis, sometimes sounding like a jumble of their influences. This album has a little bit of that on occasion as well, but for me this is the classic Loudness sound.
Akira Takasaki is without a doubt the fastest metal shredder I've ever heard...seriously, I thought Petrucci was amazingly fast...then heard some Loudness...
Loudness opened for Motley Crue on their Theater of Pain tour. This was their opening song. No one knew this song but it started the Loudness respect that they deserve in the most influential hard rock bands ever.
It's so fuckin′ crazy!!

@milhero I disagree. Id say it was between Loudness and Luna Sea. But then again its all opinionated.

nah, x-japan has too much non-metal songs
xastor 1 year ago
@xastor That doesn't mean they aren't any less good, unless you're talking technique or technicality.
I recommend Art of Life for a great mix of both ballads and speed metal though.
