thats sweat i like that dummy no doubt its intovated and i like the 3605 and movement to awsome on it best to you and in life and the path thumbs up always ricky
Nice dummy mate. I use a spring mounted pole but for starters and light practice definitely better. Copped enough smacks in the head to know that its better to work with something like that to start. Five stars! Even better though when you have the other person on the other side to provide some force. Also personally would be keen to buy if the head section was thinner, help focus on the centreline attack.
this i like but, all those companys cost of a wooden dummy cost about1200dollars can you guys make recycle material for cheap dummie and than people buy some.. dont you think.
Hey Ben, thanks I appreciate it. Most of these devises I came up with out of necessity due to not having a partner or instructor. For past year I have been training under a sifu, and have improved a lot since most of these vids where taken a while back. Jim
Hey there, James from Warrior. I am not sure I understand the question correctly. The Sensitivity trainer has four legs which include knee, shin and foot which is not offered on a traditional Wing Chun Dummy. The four parts of the base which holds unit up represents the legs. In video you can see him kicking it. What is nice about it, is being able to stomp, and trap foot while striking targets. Any other questions, you can contact me at 570 619-5147. Thanks Jim
Methinks you need some sandbags on the legs of that thing to hold it down!
Otherwise, I'd suggest that, at least in this video, it looks like you're just going through the motions rather than really getting into the training. There is no real urgency in your hits or traps. If you're just going for muscle memory, that is fine, but you need to imagine that this is a real person and react/respond like it is if you want to get the most out of your single person training.
Hey, James from Warrior. Yes you are right you can use the sandbags to stabilize the trainer, but it can also be used so you have to keep chasing it. We shot video shortly after creating the Sensitivity trainer, and didnt have much time to get used to it. It is unlike training on a wooden dummy. It is actually more challenging, do to it moves as you see in video, as well as rotates. Top can also be locked for more traditional drills. It is great for schools because you can have up to 4 students.
Thank you. Check out my site. We have a few newly designed equipment which is really catching on in Wing Chun community. You can google us. Our company is Warrior Martial Art Supply, (570)619-5147. Thanks Jim
Thanks man. It is just another tool to help training when a partner is not available, and good for energy drills. See more at Warrior Martial Art Supply.
You can lock the top so it does not rotate and you can work around in in a circle. You can have up to 4 people train on it, one on each side. See more at Warrior martial art supply .

Interesting training device, I have never seen a wood dummy look quite like that. Pretty cool though.

Yes this IS interesting...could two (or more) capable users of a wooden man, perhaps play a "teatherball" type game with it?
