I know you can use the Rockband guitar/drums. I'd assume the guitar hero guitar would work aswell. They put out a patch for this game a while back to allow the guitar/drums... I only tried with Rockband's.

If you haven't bought this game.. buy it. There's (Free)DLC for it too so... yea. a few extra songs thrown in there.

Yes, because the game also displays a message in the upper left corner when the Bonus Run can be activated. I find that quite helpful.
