If u listen to the new movies soundtrack, you'll find its much like the originals, but more upbeat. The arrangement still loves the horns/trumpets, plus it has the original sereis closing credits as one of the scores near the end

@joshfish2 That would completely ruin the suite... At least for Trekkies which consider Star Trek 2009 to be a completely different Star Trek which should be clearly separated from everything that happened prior to that movie.

I don't mean to say that ST 2009 is bad but I clearly mark it as not belonging to the original Star Trek and that is what this video is all about :)

This was EXACTLY what I needed today. I tried listening to Lady Gaga, Elton John, Antonio Vivaldi, Mozart, Linkin' Park, Uncle Kracker, nothing was doin' it for me today. Very Nice. I like Star Trek Music very much.Long live for Jerry Goldsmith! But there are some themes missing, for example the Borg Theme in First Contact or the Attack Themes of Insurrection. Anyways, good job, thanks for uploading. Please forgive grammatical mistakes, I am from Germany :-)

This is splendid, I absolutely love them all! My personal favorite is Generations. The music at the beginning and end makes me feel so powerful and that I can do anything. Time is a cool theme that popped up a lot throughout the movie, and the music in the middle, or the "Nexus" music, as I like to call it, is so calm and peaceful and almost makes time stop. I just love how everything about Star Trek, even the music, makes you think.

Star Trek theme music is like the best kind of music nowadays!  Long live the music of star trek composer: Jerry Goldsmith! Just hope the future Star Trek films will try to combine these classics with their new version of the Star Trek theme!
