I don't know too much about it, but in Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns, they talk about the stick and its relationship with this song. Apparently, it was amazing and Flansy would play percussion with it on this song and everyone loved it. They would be like "The Stiiiiick! The Stick!" In the movie, they play this song with the stick and everyone cheers for it.
