It's a test run on actual road conditions...Honda has to cover it up (even the logos) and distort the car in some way since it is not for sale yet... Check out how they were not able to cover up very well the Honda City in India, it can ruin sales if it leaks causing high inventory for previous model...

My Tank holds 20 gallons.But I can squeeze a little extra in,close to 21 gallons..BTW If you drive in alot of traffic you'll use the batteries in the trunk for driving..PLUS you can use the "AC" without using the gas engine.Providing the batt is charged well and of course youre sitting still". ITS REALLY COOL!LOL! And If You drive over steep bridges you can recharge the batt FULLY when going down Hills.

I have a 2001 honda civic EX that is NOT a hybrid. I usully put 10.5 gal in it on a fill up. I just got 450 miles on a tank and the light didn't even come on. It's all about how you drive them. I don't see how a hybrid would be worth the extra money for me right now.

A hybrid doesn't save you much money, but it can get you something when you do your Tax Refund.

first of all, prius does not average 60mpg. second of all, the shape was chosen for its low drag coefficient. third of all, toyota is dropping in both quality and sales. fourth, honda just has better engineering than toyota. eg. honda civic hybrid which is half as electric as the prius and gets only 2mpg less. fifth, you're sort of an idiot.

If you look at Honda's website, the car does not resemble the Prius at all. As mentioned in the video, the basic shape was probably determined more by aerodynamic requirements than styling desires.

It's more aerodynamic than a Corvette and all other cars in its class, has a lower drag-coefficient, can hawl more than any car in its class, has a higher torque capability, and are pretty fast if you try it. Although, you don't really have a need to go 110 without having to refuel every three hours.

A Corvette was made with down force in mind, and down force increases the drag coefficent. Corvette = 5.7 L V8 = Sports car = down force = less fuel economy. Prius does 0-60 in 11 sec. My Lexus IS350 does it in 5.6. The Prius has eco friendly low grip tires, and a 1.(something)L engine. Its not a BMW, its a Toyota. Toyota makes things that last long, and nothing else. They dropped the Ferrari killing Supra and the fuel efficient and fun to drive Celica. Now they only make 3 or 4 cheap good cars.

Honda had such a smart thing going for them with the Honda Insight. I went shopping for my first Hybrid when my ford broke down completely. I went with the 2005 Toyota Prius because of the fuel economy & amenities which are still well above the second generation Honda Civic hybrid. However, there was a market for the Honda Insight and Honda should look into that. The car still beats the 1st and 2nd generation Prius in fuel economy but not in safety and size. However, I'll stick with my Prius!

Differences are more than looks and price. Honda hybrids have been motor assist, where an electric motor assists a smaller than normal ICE. There is no electric only mode as there is with the Prius. Maybe that is the big advantage thats pushing Pruis sales. It also means the Prius can be modified after market for plugin.

Many prototypes of cars will have tape and stuff on them to disguise the actual appearance of the car in case anyone sees it. At least that's true when I've seen one being tested on the city streets. If they were aware someone could be looking in, they may have done that here too. Only guessing.
