Awesome, thanks so much for these videos. I loved the first chicken-leg one. Don't know if anyone's told you yet but the legs are called digitigrade (literally this means toe-standing). Weird ass stuff comes up if you search digitigrade on deviantart.
I love #2 and #5. Something about the overwhelming weight of the top of the 2nd mech makes it really appealing. I guess it's the juxtaposition of the gritty Frank Miller-esque pure black and (off)white shading style and the cartoony-ness of the the mech's weight that just makes it awesome. I imagine the white spots of the actual body section of it kind of glowing red, which gives like a jack-o-lantern feel to it all.
But yeah, keep it up man. These videos are really inspiring for me.
i do like the #5 very much! but pls with the little helmet-ears :D like in 9:30 in comination with the thin arms in 9:56. It think it would be a very funny design.
I think you've hit on a lot of really great designs here, it is really hard to pick. I think 5 would be a great one to do more with, but for the sake of allowing more design further down the pipeline I would say 3 is a good candidate. It seems there are more fun possibilities there than with some of the others. That thing could be the size of a chicken or it could be really huge like an AT AT or even larger. Good opportunity to mess around with scale and environmental influences I think.
I really like the chicken legs though, so #5 or #6 for me. As they are now, i'd prefer #5, but the legs on #6 are cooler. Maybe you can combine the capsule top with the bulky shield-like thighs. If you go for #6, try some thinner precision arms, maybe some "toothpick"-drill type of hands, the claws are too heavy, i think.
The posture of #2 has a lot of personality and character, #3 reminds me of a dog.

6 or five, they have the most interesting shapes and are not the standard mecha you see :)

i really like #5. it looks like the dome is a little pod-hatch that the mech controller would just go sit in.

I like 1 and 6, the chicken legs are really nice. I think they would have by far the most interesting movement.
