where did you get those impact cars?

The UP Z-train belongs to Chad & Howard with Mike supplying the locos. I believe the impacts are Athearn cars that have been custom painted. I do however, have a TTZX impact car in my collection.

The impact cars are Walthers spine cars, with a few Athearn spines in the train as well. This train is actually on 3/4 done, have about 25 more "platformes" to add.

what sort of settings do you use for shooting models with your camera?

ummmm..... on and off - lol. I have a digital camera and set it to movie mode. I select the manual focus and room light type and then go for it. Most of the time it turns out alright but not always. I'm no professional - just lucky.

These shots are at the other HO club in our town (we have 2). I am not a member here but they let me visit and photograph whenever I can attend an operating session. Unfortunately, they have lost their lease and the layout will soon be dismantled. The good news is, they have found a new site, twice as big, and will be expanding their membership. Guess who will be joining soon.....
