Opera Mini sucks. Use the default browser. It's much better and faster, I learned that pretty fast when I had it. I have the optiums V now.

@thecliqueschool. Virgin Mobile runs on the sprint network. I would suggest getting the lg optimus v. Although your friends may like it it's a cheap 2g phone. The optimus is an amazing upgrade and worth the money. You can pick up top up cards at any retail or convenient store.

This phone is alright. I have it right now. The touch screen I find really anoying. It doesn't slide the messages or pictures very well. I would not recomend this phone if you like texting alot. When you are recieving a message, it freezes for a couple of seconds. Though I have learned to get used to it, it is still very anoying. Plus, most of the time you wont get alot of messages for a while, then like 10 of them will come in and your phone will freeze. Not an amazing phone.

@macfle01 It's weird.. some stores i go into and I buy the cards and they DON'T charge tax and I end up actually getting my $60 card for $60... some places do... if you buy the card with "top up" on virgin mobile it comes out to about $65 so I imagine for the $25 plan it would be about $28 and change. Don't get this phone get the Optimus V it Is much better despite the lack of keyboard.. I originally hated it but now I can't imagine going back to this phone once I learned android.

@BlackoutDOTcom It's so close in price though.. if you are going to spend $99 on this phone you should wait and get the extra $50 and get the Optimus V. At the time I did this video - yes, this was the best phone available for the price and no contract, but in comparison now with the Opt V out, this phone is so clunky, videos play so choppy... everything is just.... "chunky" and slow compared to it, and the price is so close. I would wait if I were you, you'd be glad you did.

It depends on your local state tax - personally , I wonder if it is legal to tax these cards but hey , it is pretty hard to fight the state or to argue with tax collectors : ( My son has had a few issues with this phone - at times the texting comes in hrs later ( defeats the purpose ) customer service is fair /good though ,

@isaidwombo This phone is no where even near the league that the Optimus V is in. When I reviewed this, it was the best phone going for a low priced no contract plan that had full service. The Optimus V is like a full computer operating system with all the bells and whistles of the Android OS and apps and a much nicer higher res screen. I am starting to get used to the lack of qwerty keyboard after my initial hatred... I'll do a full review soon.
