So, just wanting to check- The choke plate should slide across the mouth of the carb fairly flush with the carb body? And the metal tab coming down from where the cable enters should be straight and fit through the small hole to flick off the choke?
I'm trying to get a A35 going (and have done...but only by squirting carb cleaner through carb)- Just wanting to know: On my carb the choke plate doesn't slide flush with the carb body and looks as if it has been bent outwards by a previous incorrect installation of the choke release operated by the throttle cable. This piece of metal is slightly bent towards the mouth of the carb (i.e. it looks as if the throttle has been applied with this piece installed incorrectly which has bent it too)
