  • i agreee, samsung sucks... i have the exact saame problem.... will never buy samasung again...

  • Problem is powerboerd

  • can someone help me with my tv please i posted a video showing the problem

  • common problem. capacitors on the powersupply board. if they fail, the eeprom (non volatile memory chip on the mainboard where ALL the settings are saved) gets damaged or the data corrupted, and it refuses to turn on or it does turn on, but restarts on its own every 15 or so seconds.

parts usually cost less than 10bucks.

It's called planned obsolescence. They use borderline parts so it makes it just a hair longer than the warranty period before it dies.

sometimes it goes wrong before that..

  • Samsung LCD TVs are not very good compared with their earlier models.

  • i have the same tv as you and its fine

  • now Where Can People Take There Samsung lcd with The Clicking problem to be fixed. They Batter have a Answer

  • Samsung Should still fix these tvs Clickin problem they all do it.

  • yes I have a 52 in Samsung Lcd has the clicking problem takes 30 mins to start up.its almost 4 years now i would not buy a Samsug tv again

  • @jromagosa1 I've had this TV for a couple years and it's still fine...

  • @jromagosa1 don't run it in that condition any longer. it'll cause even more damage.

the capacitors on the powersupply board have gon bad if it just clicks the relay on and off instead of turning on the set.

if you know how to solder, you can fix it yourself (for good) for ~10bucks

check out the badcaps . net forums. lotsa guys who can help you with it. it isn't that hard really and the fix will outlast the original junk parts samsung put in there in the first place ;)

  • Change the blown capacitors on the power supply board

  • this is a KNOWN problem dear . and samsung is changing the 2 bad capacitors free of cost at your home .

  • oh my gid this is the same tv i have and it did the same thing it just doesnt turn on anymore!!! i bought it 5 yrs ago BRAND NEW from frys and the warranty has expired now they want to charge me 300 extra just to fix the shit>................PISSED OFF!!!!

  • Bloated and leaky caps must be replaced. Then, look closely at the inverter board and check for signs of overheating. If the board is burn shaded around IC's (integrated circuits) or Transistors, re-solder them as they may also have been unseated due to them overheating, thus causing the solder to melt. Leaky caps also cause components to malfunction and overheat. Where was that samsung TV of your's made???? Let me know????

  • Listen to the back of that POS samsung TV of yours when you turn it on. Listen to see if it hisses or screeches at a low tone. If it does, open the TV, and check the back-light inverter board for leaky or bloated electrolytic capacitors. Leaky caps will have liquid coming out of either the top or bottom. Bloated caps have a bulged round top with perhaps, liquid oozing out of them which also makes them leaky.

  • Samsung TVs have had all sorts of problems for me. My latest TV purchase, I actually went with a Panasonic G25 plasma because of a few reasons. No motion blur, good blacks, rich colors and smooth motion (standard/vivid mode has a smoothing effect without artifacts).

LED TVs are nothing more than LCDs with LED backlights. They still have the same issues.

If I were you, either go plasma or wait for true OLED TVs which should become mainstream in about 5 years or less. They are similar to plasma

  • Yes, they will fix it if you call them soon. Don't know how long they will honor it but they fixed 4 of mine that were 4 years old for free.

  • i have a LN-t4053H why does this happen i got it a couple years ago

  • same here fucking annoying

  • my 46 inch is facking doing this aswell, out of warrenty hope the cunts fix it,takes along time to come back on

  • CALL SAMSUNG! THEY WILL FIX IT FOR FREE. IT IS JUST A BAD CAPASITOR. THEY JUST SENT OUT A REPAIR SHOP AND FIXED MY 2 SAMSUNG LCD TVS FOR FREE!!!!!!

NO NEED TO RETURN YOUR ITEMS PEOPLE. NO NEED TO BITCH AND MOAN. ITS A 5 MIN. PHONE CALL AND THEY FIX IT FOR FREE. I DONT SEE THE PROBLEM HERE.

  • @adamjhull83 after the warrenty too?

  • A couple of ur hub caps probably went it is actually an easy fix.

  • PIXEL MORTO

  • I suggest that everyone who has a broken Samsung tv, return it to the U.S. headquarters in Ridgefield, NJ. I think they might get the idea that they have a faulty product if they are inundated with the actual faulty product.

    Samsung Electronics America, Inc.

    105 Challenger Rd.

    Ridgefield Park, NJ

    07660

  • It all depends on what country and region your Samsung was made in. Not all the caps were/are bad, just a bad batch made into some factories. Most of the issues are with the power supply caps, but only about half are experiencing this problem which supports the random bad batches of caps here and there. It's any easy fix anyway if you're handy with tools, so I don't know what all the fuss is about?

  • Same exact problem, was fixed.

I called the samsung support center and they sent a repair man to my house the next day and replaced the motherboard (which had the broken capacitor).

It was free and toke like 15 minutes, hope it doesn't break down again cuz its not going to be free anymore =[

  • search on Face book "My-Samsung-TV-doesnt-Work" and post your link there

  • Samsung LED 3D 46c800xr

suddenly it turn off after first 14 hours and didn’t turn on by remote

I plugged it off and again plug in and then it works for 3 hours

again it turn off and never turn on yet

when I press the power button the standby LED becomes lighting

and also the Samsung logo is turn on

    but there is no screen

a sound like TIK can hear every 3 seconds

someone said me the fault is from mainboard, do you think this suggestion is OK?

could anyone say me in which site can i buy its part?

  • do the 2010 models have this problem?

  • My 47" samsung wouldn't turn on either (after 3 months). I unplugged it for 24 hours and it worked. We will see what happens next.

  • I have the exact same tv, wont turn on and makes clicking noises when it tries to

  • search on Face book "My-Samsung-TV-doesnt-Work" and post your link there

  • i have the same tv and mkight wont go on at all wtf how do u fix this

  • oh my fuckin god i bought 32 inch samsung 2 weeks ago and it has that fuckin same problem as on the video. and before it broke turned on and off by itself while i was playing playstation 3 with it. SAMSUNG IS THE SHIT. advice: don't buy samsung even if it has the best picture cause thats what i did.

  • We have a samsug tv 32 we have had a brick thorough at it by chaves it works Finn it has a big scratch on it and it was thorough very hard on the fall by the fours of the brick! "I what the Samsung - UE32C6530 - 32" LED-backlit LCD TV - 1080p (FullHD) tv!" "fucking chaves!"

  • We have a samsung 40" LCD tv not worked since December 2009 is now October 2010 and today we received a call from an authorised Samsung Repair Company who have claimed they will repair the tv in our home... Let sit and wait.......

They told me they will replace the capacitor and the main board.....

    Good luck with samsung

Do not purchase samsung tv - they claim to have a minimum of 300,000 viewing hours, over 10,000 customers disagree!!!!

  • its a capacitor.

  • @crazyjorge21111 thumbs up to that shit, its called "lets go outside" lol

  • @crazyjorge21111 Are U a SHAMSUNG SUCKER ??

  • @crazyjorge21111 Yea theyre only tvs that cost big money. Everyone is not a DUMB ASS with a rich daddy like you have . Most people have to work for what they have and when they buy JUNK there pissed. Cry to your rich daddy when your JUNK tv takes a CRAP.

  • @crazyjorge21111 You, your comments and samsung tvs FAIL .

    Crawl back under your rock.

    SHAMSUNG FAILED SUCKER !!

  • My samsung LCD is not working, last week it turned itself off a few times and today no picture no channels just a black background with fuzzy lines!! if you try auto tune nothing is found.

is it fucked? is it a capacitor problem? please help anybody.

  • omg i have the same one and same problem! did u get a fix? it used to make the clicking noises for about 2 mins then it would start up now it takes about 15mins to start up so i dont no what its going to do next...

  • I've been trying to figure out if I should go with Sony or Samsung, and thank you to all who have posted comments about Samsung!!! I've even gone all the way to calling the companies and asking what their warranties cover. You can read all the reviews in the world, but the best reviews are by people who have the products. I'm sorry you all got screwed, but you made it easier for me and I thank you!!!

  • I have the same problem! It may not be a really tough fix but Samsung needs to step up and fix it. When I called customer service they played dumb about the problem for the first two phone calls. A TV needs to last more than two years.

  • Hey old spammers all over the internet! these problems got patched, it was a 2007-2009 problem , dont let this spammers sham you!

  • @xShadow125 New complaints are posted every day about these JUNK tvs on the consumer affairs site . Until these complaints stop being posted samsung is screwing it's customers.

DON'T BE A DUMB ASS READ THE TRUTH !

    DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • @xShadow125 Don't be a DUMB ASS SHAMSUNG SUCKER !

Samsung tvs take a dump just after the warranty expires. The 2009 tvs should start taking a crap just about NOW. And where is your proof that samsung fixed their problem? New samsung tv complaints are posted every day on the consumer affairs site.

    DON'T BE A DUMB ASS !

    DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • I freakin' hate Samsung. I will never buy another piece of shit samsung product ever again. I'm having the same fuckin' problem and conveniently, it's past the warrantee.

  • i guess this is an energy star cause it doesn't turn on that will save you money

  • I've owned a samsung lcd 40in for a year and a half and have enjoyed it since it was my first. Well guess what, same on off issue as many have experienced. Did a little research and found out about the capacitor issues. A few days ago I bought five $1.50 capacitors from radioshack, a screwdriver, small pliers, and soldering iron with solder. Gave a little patience, and at most 1hr of time and its working great again. If this is your tvs issue then you can do it because it isnt hard at all.

  • I took a Shamsung package deal. The first thing to go was the blu ray player which had to be sent in for repair. I'm now waiting for a technician to come to my place to fix my tv for a SECOND TIME. The first problem was the power supply. Now 2 of the hdmi ports are not functioning properly I have the 4 year extended warranty but it should be noted that all this has happened within the first 10 MONTHS since I bought everything.

How's my ass, Samsung? Tight enough for ya?

  • I replaced 4 capicitors on the powerboard. $1.50 each at radio shack. My Samsung 40" works like a champ. But it is frustrating.

  • Bij ons doet tv van LG nog wel en lg is goeie merk.

  • Suck for all you dumb fucks that have a broken TV out of warranty. I have the Samsung 46' LED TV UNB8000 Series and by October 2010 it will be a year of having it.So you say after a year and a few months they fuck up?I will put Samsung and their TVs to the test.Good thing I have a 4 year warranty and I can switch it for any brand tv of same price if Samsung does fail me.If you can't afford buying warranty then don't buy a damn TV.Simple

  • @TooleralusAEnima YOUR A DUMB ASS !!

A tv that cost over two grand should last more than a year.

Buying samsung is like playing russian roulette that you won't be screwed.

    DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • Modern electronics can be fragil and short lived. My Sony with a beautiful picture lasted 14 months before it started showing a double image. It died at 18 months. These TVs are way too expensive to live such short lives. Part of the problem may be that they quit using lead in the solder, so the connections might not endure the heat/cold cycles. I'm now watching an older tube TV that has great color and lasts, and lasts, and lasts.

  • i got a sanyo 32'' for christmas brand new and does the same thing

  • I had the same problem and I fixed it. I don't know if you still have the tv or not but its a very simple fix. Give me a shout back if you want help.

  • I had the same problem and I fixed it. I don't know if you still have the tv or not but its a very simple fix. Give me a shout back if you want help.

  • Same problem on my 46 inch. I have 3 other Samsung LCDs I'm worried about.

  • I have the same problem with my Samsung lcd 50, just after 2 years the picture do not come on but the sound it is working. Can anyone help me please? What can i do about this mess

  • I have the same problem with my Samsung lcd 50, just after 2 years the picture do not come on but the sound it is working. Can anyone help me please? What can i do about this mess

  • Same thing has been happening to me. I've had my television for 3 years, but I bought it at Circuit City and they are now out of business. It sometimes takes 10 minutes to turn on. What a piece of junk!

  • I had the same problem...3 months out of the 1 year warranty, samsung you SUCK!

called samsung and the guy on the phone wasn't surprised by my description of the problem, he just told me right away, you need to take it in for service.

    Samsung you SUCK!

after looking for answers online i found a few threads saying the same thing

replace some capacitors on the power supply and you are done!

    just google "samsung tv clicking"

  • This is my first and last Samsung LCD tv. It is useless and defective product. Everyone should call and register complaint with Samsung to have a class action lawsuit going for us, the consumers.

  • Samsung has several class actions suits filed against them right now some of which claim that they willingly and knowingly used poor quality components. I have also heard rumors that they may have engineered some of the electronics to make their TV's become defective after their warranties expired so they could generate more revenue. Whether this is true or not I don't know but it seems there may be some validity to it from all the posts I've read...

  • DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • I got my samsung back in December of 2009, work fine until it start turning off and on constantly until I unplug the TV... happens when I turn on the TV without using it for two days... good thing I still have warranty.

  • I feel your pain. Same problem with my tv. 18 months old. Shit product. I will never buy Samsung again and if they go bust I don't give a shit. I don't even watch tv, I use it for my games. Wankers.

  • I predict a very bad next year for Samsung and eventual bankruptcy at the rate they are going. They simply don't seem to care that customers are stuck with bad TVs just weeks or months after they buy them. A good TV should last a long time. I have and old Magnavox that's last 20 + years now.

  • I have heard a rumor that Samsung has chips in there TVs that make them go defective after the date of warranty and have heard of an unusually large number of complaints that seem to support this. Whether's it true or not I'm not going to buy any Samsung TV's from all the problems I keep hearing about them

  • well nothing is made like it used to be...I recall one customer who brought in his Zenith tv for repair, it was 23 years old and it was the first time it had been taken to a reapair shop !! I don't recall if we fixed it, probably we did. It will probably last him another 5 years or so.

  • I agree with you, neverever buy Samsung again!!! I have same issue with my new T.V....

  • beware with korean garbage shamesung

  • mine does the same, fucking piece a shit, never again will a buy there product. Mine will click for ten minutes and then will turn on only to display a black screen. Piece a shit

  • oh man. i do installs. wont say for who. but had that happen to me. freaked me out a bit. cust had the samsung led. let it sit for 5 minutes then finally worked. Ha. My plasma never did that shit for 5 years. Im one of the lucky few never had any plasma related issues. So now im a bit partial. And the plasma is samsung.

  • i have a 40inch it was clicking alot before it came on i replaced the capacitors fixed it now it turns on and the screen goes black there junk does anyone know how to fix this?

  • capacitors dude! i had this same problem.

  • i have the same problem right now for the second time they said is was okey now but it is broke down again

  • fahaz78 yes we get a one year warranty in the US. We also get screwed when the samsung tv we spent over two thousand dollars on takes a CRAP at 14 MONTHS !

  • I HATE KOREAN GARBAGE SAMSUNG, i had 2 lcds from this garbage brand and both broke in just 6 monts, i decided to go with a jap brand ( toshiba) and has been nothing but wonderful.i highly recommend to buy jap quality brands like tosh, sony and pana, instead of these new korean crap brands

  • @infinitumpatata funny because my toshiba craps out on me every week. The hdmi port is garbage. im having a twirl with samsung tv's though

  • wow so lucky i was looking at buying a samsung

    are LG lcd tvs good?

  • to find out more visit CONSUMERAFFAIRSdotCOM.

SAMSUNG HAS THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS!!! NO.1 in defective tv's...

  • @ceezee20

Hi there, so what brand would you suggest? I'm think about Sony but not really sure. Been searching on the internet for a while now and can't seem to find any information on longevity. Please help. Which brand would you suggest? RCA, Panasonic, Sony, etc???

  • guys you're just few of THOUSANDs customers who are pissed off with SAMSUNG JUNK TV's.

  • I have the Samsung Slimfit CRT HDTV and a few months back it started acting up whenever I put it Channel 5. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes when I put it on 5, the sound goes out the TV shuts off then turns itself back on. When it comes back on and can't control the TV or change to another channel. I hear it may be some motherboard going bad.

  • Samsung tvs are GARBAGE and they take a DUMP just after your warranty expires.

  • Put SAMSUNG TV CLICKING into a google search and read CONSUMER COMPLAINTS. If you have a day or two you might be able to read them all and the complaints are growing every day.

Samsung screwed THOUSANDS of their customers with JUNK tvs.

    DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • @MrJoemumford What about the other companies complaints on the same website? I've checked them and you haven't, because your retarded.

  • @BUBLOOGABLOO DON'T COUNT THE NUMBER OF PAGES OF COMPLAINTS .

COUNT THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON EACH PAGE DUMB ASS !

Samsung has over 9,000 more complaints than any other make tv on the consumer affairs site. Either your a DUMB ASS or you can't count or both.

    DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • Samsung TV complaints are all over the web, yet cnet and consumer reports focus on the quality of the TV when they test a new one, not one that has been in use for a few months. They're in Korea and make faulty sets and then hire arrogant, uninformed customer service reps and techs in the USA who would rather lie than offer any real help.. Mistakes happen, but since Samsung won't stand behind their own defective products, fuck 'em! NO Samsung for me, I love the intranets to get the true story!

  • OMFG thank god i didn't buy Samsung i was telling my dad so much to get samsung but he insisted Sony and its been working fine for more than 3 years now and DON'T LET SAMSUNG SHAME YOU

  • I have a 52" samsung tv and it has broken 4 times I am still under best buy warranty. My warranty is for 4 years. I still have a year to go. I will NEVER buy samsung anything again. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will exist soon.

  • my SAMSUNG started doin the same thing, it dont turn on. I hate SAMSUNG I spent almost $3000 and 2 years later the tv dont wana work. I called SAMSUNG and they refered me to a shop 13miles away, and i got a price quoate for $350 to repair. I think SAMSUNG should come to my house and fix this garbage lcd, i spent 3grand and 2 years later it dont wanaturn on. DONT BY ANYTHING SAMSUNG, GET SONY.

  • DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !

  • i think i wil by a lg 32 inch those better then samsung price is higher but i looked

at samsung 32 inch 380 bucks thats pretty fucking cheap the lg 32 inch is 450 bucks so that tells me something pay for what u get i guess

  • DON'T BE THE NEXT SHAMSUNG SUCKER !!

  • no warranty? and you paid 2200 for that TV? you got ripped brah

  • Get a Panasonic

  • Clicking ,clicking, clicking, clicking, clicking, clicking and a dead blank screen.

Thats my problem along with thousands of other samsung customers that were SCREWED by samsung.

    Don't buy samsung trash !

  • My 46 inch samsung tv started this clicking noise and after some time clicking on and off it quit working. Only 4 months out of the warranty I feel I was screwed by samsung. I will never buy samsung again.

  • THEY SUCK!!!! i have a 52'' LNT5271 and it's clicking takes about 3-4mins to turn on ..i paid 3300+ and i will NEVER buy another sumsung as long as i live

  • I'm having this exact same issue for the 2nd time & 2nd Samsung t.v. & I'm getting the severe run around from them. Without a t.v. now for 1month BRAND NEW t..v.

  • Before U buy a samsung tv put SAMSUNG TV CLICKING into a google search and read about THOUSANDS of samsung customers that are screwed and pissed off. WARNING if U decide to fix it yourself it's easy BUT if U touch the wrong component U can get shocked on your ass even if it's unpluged.

  • Listen up pple if your samsung tv is not working and making clicking noises it means the capacitors have blown. what this means u have to go to your local electrical store buy the same Capacitors and do a d.i.y job soldering them back on yourselves. Mine died last month and now i fixed my sammy 42 inch hd tv and now its working beautifuly! You wont know until u open your tv to find out how many capacitors have blown and what rating MF UF and Voltage required to replace!

  • Comment removed

  • It may be interresting to add the reference of this dead TV.

  • My 40" did exactly the same. Only 15 months old. Samsung told me it was my fault as I had no surge protection. Funny how the PS3, DVD etc were all fine. This is an extremely common problem.

  • Put "SAMSUNG TV CLICKING" into a google search and read about THOUSANDS of samsung customers that are screwed and pissed off because their tv became TOAST just after the warranty expired. Samsung used cheap parts and know about the problems but won't admit to them. Do the search before U buy so you won't be the next SAMSUNG SUCKER.

  • My 40" samsung does the same thing...... out of warranty of course.

  • I agree, Mine stopped turning on 6 months after the warranty expired and now im shit out of luck. Samsung is aware of this issue as its been a problem since 2006 but they still deny any responsibility that would require a recall.

  • why does everyone think caps is gonna cure everything. need logic board on samsung, if it was westinghouse or poloroid i would say caps.

  • Same issue different Samsung TV. Definitely going to write a complaint. Any TV you buy has to last at least 5 years or so.

  • Those things have 5 to 10-year warranties.

  • Dude you should go to radioshack and get some new capacitors and a soldering iron. Just open up the back, pull out the power supply board (behind a metal cage,) and replace the low-voltage capacitors with new ones. Same capacitance and the same or slightly higher voltage.

  • caps blow because they are cheap and it would cost about 40C more(total) to use better caps. Equivalent Series Resistance(ESR) of the caps causes temp rise and failure. You need to use caps with better ESR(lower ESR)

  • Fuck samsung i had the same problem for two times then i changed it to LG!

  • samsung trash. They use cheap, faulty capacitors, even to this day, to save a few cents. The capacitors buldge then fail. 10s of thousands having same problem. Samsung wont acknowledge there is a problem. I hope these capacitors cant catch fire, burning down someones house, and even worse killing their family. I hope this isnt a safety issue!

  • Bad capacitors on the power supply board. Had the same problem with my Samsung LCD after the warranty expired. Replaced 6 bad capacitors and working like new again. Cost me less than $5 not including shipping.

  • would you sell the tv 2 me

  • what do u think warrenty is for ?

  • Try to wash or take a paper and wash the power button because i had the same problem then i try to fix it but it was no problem in the tv but outside the power button try to wash that with a paper.

    Sorry for my bad english

  • I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

My Samsung LCD TV is 17 months old. Only gets used in the evenings.

Now i'm going to have to pay £250 to repair it because its not under extended warranty!!!!

  • i have a samsung that i had for one day brand new it was kepted in a warm place i dont know if that stopped it from working. has sound but no PICTURE!!!!!!

  • This is not Samsung's fault, your tv experienced a power related issue. Meaning if you have appliences in the home the draw at 240v ie. fridge, stove and the tv is at a 120v the power has to come from somewhere. This power fluctuation is known for killing tv's. Samsung, LG, toshiba, sony, sharp or panasonic it doesnt matter they're all based off the same technology. You bought a beautiful tv and unless you purchased the extended warrenty, it's pretty much you own fault.

  • So how would you rectfiy this power supply issue? I am having the same problem with my tv, and your answer seems to be th ebest suited...?

  • My samsung TV is been with me for almost 8 month now and i have not have any problems with it I pay $2800 for it is by far the best TV i have ever own the picture quality is amazing I am completely in love with my Tv

  • any one here knows why my samsung 40 inches LCD LA40R8 anynet is not working ?? :( i also did reset the software but no use !

  • Look for swolen caps on power supply board .

  • I have a 53" Samsung LCD TV and the damn thing stop turning on after 8 months, after a long research I found out that Samsung have the worst power boards in their LCD TVs and they break often, the services center decided to change the whole damn TV and after 3 more months the NEW one started doing the exact same shit, I am for one would NEVER buy this crap again.

  • Replace all the crappy chineese capacitors and your tv will be better than new. No Joke

  • i just got a samsung ln40b550 and it works amazing had no problems with it yet

  • My 26" Samsung LCD is colour-fucked. About every 3rd time when you turn it on the colours are way, way, wayyyyy out of whack. Have to turn it off and on again. Total pain in the arse

  • it needs Calibration , which is a built in feature of samsung. calibrate it.

  • My TV did the same and I bought a Sony Bravia. About the IP board, were do you get them an what is the cost?

  • Samsung tv's are shite, mine is not long out of warranty and eventually this orning there was a white flash from the front and being an electrician before i dumped the piece of crap i opened it to check what went, to find that the fuse protecting the board not only blew, but actually "blew up" and broke into tiny pieces, power supply went faulty.never again samsung.

  • my samsung tv sometimes just turns off and when i try to unplug the cord and plug it back in it takes for ever becuase i cant get the light to say on does any one now if i need to get a new power cord or somthing eles please help

  • I am having the same problem right now with my Samsung LN46A750. I had it just one year and a month and then one day I hit the power button and it played the turning on tune and then it went back off and it has coutinued to do the same thing now for 4 days. I tried unpluging it, I called Samsung they said that I should update the firm ware which as you know is imposable if the dam thing wont turn on. Please if anyone has an answer call me.

  • i had my samsung for 18 hours and it stopped working. sound but no picture.WTF?

  • I had the same problem with a samsung lnt4065fx/xaa and i replace the ip board . it cost me $150 .00 Ttv is now is now wroks like new.

  • You know according to consumer reports, Samsung is supposedly the best you can get or one of the best. I guess bottom line they all get problems. SAD! Basically the digital age has forced us to buy these unless you want to deal with a converter.

  • My Samsung 40" LCD tv broke after 1.5 year. Estimate cost of fixing is +$1200. Will never buy another Samsung electronics again.

  • same problem here. had my 40 inch LCD for 2 yrs...now i cant turn it on. have to fork out $500- for a new power supply. Samsung SHOULD have provided owners with extended warrentys if they make faulty TV sets. Never buying samsung again.

  • im havin the same exact problem with my 40" HDTV Samsung LN40A530.i had this TV for 359 days and it decided to fuck up. i called samsung twice so far and nobody has gotten back in contact with me. i do have a bestbuy warranty. but, fuck that! samsung is gonna fix my fucking TV. im callin they asses right now and another reason i guess its takin so long is. i live in a small town and they cant find a local tech....

  • well why is that ???? three months only ....well then i think il get the sony ......OH NO I REALLY LIKE HOW THIS TV LOOKS.NOOOOoooOOoOoOoOoOOoO

    help

  • mine did that as well you need a update ..they will caome out and fix it
