I love it too. I lived in Tokyo 11 years and always made it to my doorstep (even if I had to run that last 500 feet) just as the chime would begin... and there was my wife waiting to greet me. So often we'd hug and slow dance for the duration of the chime. Kinda cheesy... but it's the small things like this that we miss. Cheers for the upload.

where in tokyo is this? i live in kita ku (not far from ikebukuro) and the chime out here around taito, kita and bunkyo ku is different.

I have wonderful memories of this music; one of the sounds my wife and I heard everyday as we fell in love. It's a very old tune..something about the birds flying home at the end of their day.
