Sounds pretty damn good to me, but I guess I see what you mean about the beat driving forward more. Chris, any advice on how to start moving from blues to jazz on the harp? I like learning blues harp, but would like to be able to play 'beyond' that as well (inverted commas because I don't want to imply blues requires less skill). But...where should one start?
start by picking a tune you like but is slightly beyond your ability and do the work to learn it. Status is not a jazz tune and in fact there aren't any changes, it's just Bm. One chord jams are almost harder to play than tunes with changes because you're forced to drive the music to keep it interesting. Tues likes Stratus are great because you can literally play anything you want over it.
