  • Keep in mind birds will not reject there baby if you touch it to put it back in the nest so there was no need for the plastic bag :)

  • wait... no! Don't end there! what's his name??? xD

  • Yeah birds have stronger loyalty and devotion than sense of smell. I returned a sparrow chick back to the crevice it was in. I could see the parents nearby frettin up in a nearby tree. I put him back. Came back the next morning to hear it (not see it) chirping. We have to do this here (cleveland, Ohio) all the time because the birds set up shop in Store Wording, crevices, etc.

  • As an occupational necessity, *vultures* do have a very keen sense of smell. Others, maybe not so much.

  • What?! I know at least SOME birds have a sense of smell. I have read from multiple sources about kiwis finding worms by sense of smell, hence why they are the only species of bird with nostrils at the tip of the beak as opposed to the base. Granted, though, most birds just have a very poor sense of smell.

  • It's great that you knew the mother would take him back. Bird's have no sense of smell unlike what people think, but you knew. It's also good that you knew even on the slim chance he would be rejected, it was better than leaving him.

  • did he sruvive? :(
