I have the Hanna 98127's and both went bad on me in 6 months. Its not worth buying another electrode. Which is the best hanna Ph tester for testing liquid ph measurements? water based degreasers/cleaning chemicals.
@Flashvette Cleaning chemicals tend to have a harsh pH which will factor into the electrode life. Please contact our U.S. sales and support line at 1-800-426-6287. They will be able to help you select a product appropriate to your application.
When i calibrate it and it ask me to go to 4.01 buffer from 7.01 buffer it never switches back to the normal measurement mode. I have the hanna black combo pen and when i do my readings it stays at the the same measure even when i add ph down/up. any help?
You guys should really do a "full use" video; from out of the package, initial set up and first time use. As well as appropriate storage instructions, maintenance, calibration, and the standard "dos and donts" when working with these types of meters.
2011hyf, sounds like you have a bad electrode. To verify, please call 800-426-6287 and ask to speak to our tech department and they can help resolve your problem.
Hi, once i enter into the calibration mode, after showing 7.0 USE for few second, it directly appear as 10.0 REC. Since i would like to calibrate for 4.0 instead of 10.0, may i know how to make it to show 4.0 REC instead of 10.0 REC?
HI .I bought a 98127 model. When Im trying to calabrate. It will cal to 7.0 but when it goes to cal 4.0 it keeps giving a Error code.Iv only used this tester a few times. It worked before but its not calabrating fully now.
Its sounds like your tester has a bad pH probe. To test the probe, try the following:
Enter the meter into the calibration mode.
When you see 7.0 USE press the SET/HOLD button.
The meter will show ESC or CLR then return to the normal measuring mode.
Take measurement of the pH 7 and pH 4 buffers if these reading are not within .5 the meter will not calibrate and 99% of the time it is caused by a bad electrode.
Typically the electrode needs replacing every year.

Very Informative video to show exactly how simple it is to calibrate these products. Very quick and easy process for field calibration.
