I saw you did not understand the announcement on Ash Wednesday. I commented that it is about the Catholic religion, the day begins Cuarezma and not eat meat on that day and every Friday during the 40 days that lasts the Cuarezma. You can only eat fish and shellfish in those days. I think they referred to it ... that day is special and why do not discount. And Catholicism is very important in Mexico and I think they follow their traditions.
If you are wondering why their Wednesday special excludes Ash Wednesday then it's because that is the beginning of Lent for Catholics. During the season of Lent you aren't supposed to eat meat on Fridays, but this also holds for Ash Wednesday. Essentially they are excluding that day so they don't lose a bunch of money from anyone trying to observe Ash Wednesday.
@XFierceWarriorX a 10 star has to have be great on Service, Taste and Price. We are not giving out a 10 unless we are totally blown away. We have to save that for the big one if that place even exists. LOL

My guess is that Tacos Baja, knowing Catholics can't eat meat that day, wants to ensure that they make the maximum profit per fish taco that day. More Catholics eating fish tacos on Ash Wednesday at regular price = more profit !
Now I know where to go for good cocktails! I' always scared I might get food poisoning so I never eat them unless we make them. You guys should try Fishermans Outlet in LA. Its really good and everytime we go its crowded. Their site is fishermansoutlet. net
