They should have made a Rhythm & Blues tag team set. I saw someone make a Greg Valentine with black hair that looked really great & thought it was an unreleased prototype when I 1st saw it. A Brainbusters set would have been great too but they didn't make tag team sets back in 1989. I would've loved to have seen singles figures of them (like the singles Ax & Smash figures) & one of the Widowmaker (Barry Windham), but Windham left too soon during his 2nd WWF run as the Widowmaker.
From the tag team sets, I have Demolition & wanted to get the others but never got around to it. I could have sworn that back in the day when these things were being sold that I saw a Demolition set with Ax, Smash & Crush all together. I have never seen it listed or mentioned anywhere though. Was it a special set that was very rare? If so, I feel bad for not getting it. Then again I was 12 when these were out & had no money of my own. Otherwise I would have gotten Dusty, Andre & the rest.
@wtcvidman There was a 3 set of demolition. I bought the rockers together and the bushwackers together. I had tons of these things but I never got Andre and I looked everywhere for him. Now I wish I left them in their box and didnt open them
I still don't have Andre, Dusty or any of the Ultimate Warrior figures (the 3rd Warrior figure is pretty tough to find carded). I have Rick Rude, Macho Man, Macho King, Akeem, Demolition, the green Million Dollar Man (which I opened), Nailz, and I think a few others. I remember seeing the Dusty Rhodes figure at the local CVS for about $4-$5. And I think I saw the Andre figure at one of the Kay Bee stores. I really wonder how rare that 3 member Demolition set is.
@wtcvidman I had the black Million Dollar man with his million dollar belt, the tag teams I mentioned before, the newer Hogan, The Warrior in the white trunks, Roddy Piper who I made the champ like 100 times, The model rick martel, hacksaw him duggan with the 2x4, skinner who was made a little different than the others, repo man, Jake the Snake with the snake, Macho Man not the king version, The 3 I really wanted but never got were Andre, Akeem and Dusty
@GLazz85 Plus JImmy snuka, Bossman with the nightstick and brutus who I think had scissors but I dont recall. I just saw an unopened Andre on ebay for 25 bucks
I'd like to get all of those someday. I liked the figures they made up through early-mid 1993. I remember seeing the 3rd Macho Man figure (the face cowboy hat version) at Stevens (a great store that I sorely miss; is now a PC Richard) right by me. I think there was a Kamala figure too. I don't think there ever was a regular Tito Santana figure (only him as El Matador). Does Repo Man come with that rope with the hook that he brought with him? Was there also a Berzerker figure?
@wtcvidman Oh yeah I had Tito with the green pants El matador. I actually had Berzerker too. I dont recall if he had a sword but his was unique. He actually had his brown top made from cloth. I had the ring too but the turnbuckles and sides broke. Repo man didnt have anything cool with him. Thanks for bringing this up man brought up some amazing memories
So both Million Dollar Man figures came with the Million Dollar Belt (since my green one also came with it---which is why I opened it back in the day). I also have the ring, which I regret opening since the elasticity of the ropes is now gone & the ropes are drooping (plus it would have been worth more unopened). The one I have is the original blue Hasbro ring that I got for about $18 at Toys R Us. I got Akeem for a pretty cheap price but the card is all bent up (I don't mind).
the original prototype Crush, had an entire red face, then they changed it to red and silver, then when it was finally released - red silver and black.
why do you find that offensive???, you aussies are quick to claim every other new zealander as your own. lol. i found it more offensive, that the bushwhackers were kiwis but acted like retarded aussies. they were like a cross between chopper, and that guy from wolf creek.
my friends, if you have these toys lying around...HOLD ON TO EM'!!! All the classic toys are worth a ton now...especially when the WWE is now reissuing them in their classic superstars toy line.
My God Shawn Michaels looked like a 19 yearold back then! It's a damn shame the WWE never put the tag team belt's on the
Bushwhackers! They were way over the fucking top with the wrestling fans! Everybody I knew liked them! They were another great tag team that the WWE dropped the ball with and they both deserve to be in the WWE Hall Of Fame for real!
When I was a kid, I couldn't even understand what the Bushwhackers were saying in this commercial. I thought they were just sounding retarded. But now I understand them. LOL!
So what guys, I have a rocket owen hart i bought for 30 and opened him
