Hi I was wondering if you could tell me if this phone would allow me to use my monthly skype uk unlimited call subscription to make standard skype - out landline calls or will i have to pay every time i make a call. this question applys also to any other non pc required skype equiptment
the phone call was very Static it was horible. I gave it try. rated about 3 star. it was so bad.took it to Coffee houses & made calls. some Open coffee house wifi it wouldent conect. dosent connect all open Wifi. give it try. if u like. cool vid thanks
It depends on your needs. I have one of these and I run a business in India and my business partner in India also has one. The Skype calls are free and we can have several line numbers around the world, making us appear to have more foot print than is actual. Yes, we could have achieved this on a laptop; but I find it very convenient. SMS would be nice though!
Leodee, can you please tell me what is the difference between this one and the SPH200W model? I can only see that this one looks better and the SPH200W appears older.
As I know it will not work at all, except when you are close to a WI-FI network. I heard that battery life is under a day for standby and around 2 hours of talk time, it's not very good, at least it should have a docking station for charging.
Best bet is too - install 'Fring' on an iPhone - if traveling turn off data roaming and you can use the phone as a Skype phone on a DSL signal! best of both worlds
does this have speaker?

have you ever tried the public libraries network?

Any free hotspot as long as it doesn't require Browser Based authentication.

does this work only on your network or can you carry it with you and access/use skype from any free hotspot?
