Okay so what would YOU people do if grocery stores (where we get OUR food) started being replaced with houses and other places of business to the point where places to get OUR food began to seem scarce? I'm just saying....
Screw these people and their family pets. Wolves are doing what they do because these idiots keep eating up every square inch of nature. Besides domestic dogs are worthless creatures.
And what makes domestic dogs worthless? Apparently they are so worthless that German Shepard's, a domesticated dog, are used by police to protect and help them out. Apparently they are so worthless people use them for hunting because of their excellent sense of smell. Apparently they are so worthless that they help out in arsenic cases. Apparently they are so worthless that they protect their owners, and are used to help find missing people, and for sniffing out evidence.
@TheTudiscoKid Does it really matter how they were used to torment the Jews NO your point is a waste of time. Wolves are a fake endangered species easy to prove look up the paperwork for wolf reintroduction they were listed as NON ESSENTIAL experimental. It is high time the grown up got in and clean up this mess. Wolves need to be controlled period. Uncontrolled they are putting people out of work slaughtering dogs in people yards enough of the cult telling Americans how to live their lives.
@TheTudiscoKid yes I read the book and no it is not out of context The top of page 79 in the author own words not mind.
"The cult of the wolf continued to influence western culture long after the end of the Nazi Regime." The author says how many times about the cult of the wolf ?
@TheTudiscoKid - most of what you said is true... except domestic livestock don't know to run from wolves because they lack wild instincts. That's why when predators (not just wolves) figure that out... they keep targeting them... they make an easy meal. That's the only time I condone killing the predator (or relocating). Of course if it attacks a human it should be killed. I don't support mass extermination just to have a certain # though.
@Amidat that is the problem with clueless uneducated people talking about hunting predators they make the most childish statement. The one season Idaho had a hunting season on wolves the quota was not even meet. Proving the paranoid fairy tale that wolves can be hunted into extintion is a myth. Only a simple minded person would believe that. You could have year round hunting season on wolves and they would still be wolves 100 years from now.
@BruceH59 - so tell me this you clown.... if hunting wolves all year round wouldn't decimate the population... then how did your forefathers cause them to become extinct??? Let me guess... you will tell me it wasn't there fault???
@Amidat Losing badly so you start name calling LMAO poison maybe if you actaully study history and fact you would learn the truth. TV and Defenders of Wildlife propaganda is not research just brainwashing for gullible weak minds like yourself.
@BruceH59 - not losing at all... i just get annoyed when I have to have discourse with someone whose head is as thick as an oak tree. I'd rather have a civil conversation... but how can I when someone accuses of you being in a cult because you don't bow down to their foolishness?? Find something better to do.
@Amidat Hey Nazi worshipping wolf cult member you just admit you gun owners good Nazi. You are losing badly I prove you wrong over and over and over again. In case you miss it Nazi lover The top of page 79 in the author own words not mind.
"The cult of the wolf continued to influence western culture long after the end of the Nazi Regime." Good wolf cult member spread you hate.
I had a wolf dog and my sister had an akita they were both around 10 months old. There was a lone wolf if looked young but fat (tons of rabbits and prarie dogs in the area) I thought it was my wolf dog (this was at sunset) then i looked at my side and my pet was there I looked back up and my sisters akita charged at it. Good thing it wasnt starving it because it took off and my sister was able to call her dog back the moment he charged. It was kind of scary and cool the way it growled and ran.
@TheTudiscoKid Try getting an education before yopu prove to the world you are fool. It is called sports killing it is documented fact. If you can handle a really hard think look up 120 sheep killed in Dillion MT that is in single night. It was open field but you know that kid as you sit in your apartment 2000 miles away thinking you have a clue. But who cares ranchers are forced out of business right cause wolves are more important then people, Right? When you grow up let me know!
hflgoulart: Off corse they are dangerus you retard! They are a topp predator not a mouse! You are brain whashed by animal romatics that say all animals are cute and cuddly. Iff you ever see a wild wolfe go over to it and pet it, that way we dont have to get more stupid coments from you anymore :) Dont say you know anything about wolfes, cause that woud be A LIE!!!!!!!!
@1974panic Problem is with that "ever" word, because you can't just spot a wolf in a wild. You have far more chances to see and even get killed by a bear.
@SloveintzWend - people get killed by moose and elk every year... but ppl forget that. it's just like in Africa... more ppl get killed by hippos and elephants than they do by lions. it's strange ppl only think of predators as dangerous.
@Amidat People consider everything meat eating that can't be controlled as dangerous. That's why nobody notices dog accidents, although they kill more people than wolves.
It's enough to make an illusion of security and dominance, nobody cares about the results.
Never ceases to amaze me how many folks don't get that wolves are big, wild, dangerous predators, and that they can & will kill pretty much anything they feel like.
They will kill purely for the hell of it, a fact that doesn't take much research to discover.
Check in with the folks that actually live in areas where wolves do, see how they feel about them...
@TheTudiscoKid You can put what ever label you want on the sport killing it is documented fact. So if you want to play games with words go for it. Doesn't matter to me the facts speak for themselves.
@TheTudiscoKid Just can't stop your childish name calling can you. I love it proving you are a uneducated liar. Wolves are destroying Yellowstone and only an complete fool blinded by being a cult would still lie and spread disinformation about wolves. Just one more lunatic in the wolf cult can't handle the truth and making up lies.Yellowstone is dying on Youtube but your in the wolf cult so you can say how great it is all the other animals are getting slaughtered off. Wildlife hater.
@TheTudiscoKid Your gross ignorance in wolves is showing. 120 sheep killed in a single night in Montana that is called sports killing. Not for food for the sheer pleasure of killing. So if you going to act like you have a clue do some research first before you prove to the world you are a fool. BTW swearing is a sign of weak mind trying to express itself. In your case a weak gullible mind.
For wolves if another wolf (canine) enters their territory they defend it. When stupid people let their dogs off leash and they roam around, they will roam into the wolves territory (because people already invaded their lands) and the wolves will defend their territory. its like if you had a person threatening to take your land you would defend it too.
@0NEVERHIDE0 The stupid people are you. The wolves are coming right in people yards killing their dogs. The wolves don't have more rights then people. That is Nazi thinking. Oh yes the Nazi love wolves. That is why Hitler called the Subs hunting in wolf pack style. So keep up your Nazi thinking.
@BruceH59 - 1) ppl's pets are animals just like the wolf 2) none of the incidents in the report happened in anyone's backyard... try again. You bring up Nazi's... well do all the sports teams that have wolves as their name in America also Nazi's??? where do some ppl come up with this stuff?
@Amidat Nice try I have interviewed the people that have had their dogs killed on private property so nice try deny the document facts. 2 Yes Michael Vic Wannabe love it when their wolves kill people pets it perverse. 3. Try reading a book for once in your life the Nazi were the first country to protect wolves. It is historical fact. Wolves name in a sporting team has nothing to do with over protecting a fake endangered species so it can slaughter people pets DUH you even make thru HS ??
@BruceH59 - you said the Nazi's were the first country to protect wolves?? HAHAHAHAHA. People just make up "facts". You ask if I finished high school? Well whatever college you went to - you need to get your money back. Many societies valued wildlife (including predators) throughout history and were able to deal with them. Maybe it's the European ancestry....?? example: tigers never had a problem in Asia until the English starting shooting them for sport...
@BruceH59 - do you realize that more Americans have German ancestry than anything else??? so are you suggesting that's where it comes from??? Anyway the point I was making was that long before 1934 - persons who are not of European descent (including native americans) were able to live with wolves... and even respected them. You are the only one it seems that is in a cult!
@Amidat That is the problem with facts you called me liar and said I made that up. I proved you WRONG no susrpise there you are in the wolf cult and several people call you a cult. Native Americans hunted trapped poison and even denned wolf pups as delicacy. Funny what happen when you actually research something and don't let the TV tell you what to think. Just like you were wrong about the NAZI's you are wrong about the Native American. Losing pretty bad with uneducated comments
@BruceH59 - what was I wrong about the Nazi's about??? Your a fool. Yes the Natives killed wolves just like they did bears... and just like buffalo and beavers. YET NONE OF THEM BECAME ENDANGERED until the Europeans came in. Those Natives didn't have any sophisticated education system. They had common sense... something you lack.
@Amidat Common sense you don't know the meaning of the word. Try looking up Endangered species and read. Wolves are a fake endangered species. So when you grow up and learn to research facts let me know. I have proven you wrong so many times it is not even funny. Stop being so closed minded. Now you admit Native Americans killed wolves wow first you said they worship them LOL you change you mind all the time after I prove you wrong yet again.
@BruceH59 - when did I say they worshipped them fool. I said "respected". Wow - you really really need help. They didn't just going around killing them. It was part ritual for them... like with bears and buffalo. Yeah - and I guess wolves didn't become extinct in certain places either. My grandfather farmed chickens but he didn't eat chicken. Are you saying he worshipped chickens because he didn't eat them? You need some help. I'm not wasting more time with you.
@Amidat When you decide to grow up and act like a man let me know you just acting the fool right now no facts no evidence just your opinion base on TV brainwashing.
Nope the evil vile twisted wolf cult brought these mutts back to our territiory it is our right to protect our dogs not worry about tNazi wolf lovers. Yes that right the NAZIs worshipped the wolves just like you sick people in the wolf cult. Funny how easy it is to trick people with Nazi proaganda even today.
Oruper, are you serious? There is no dog on this earth that can withstand a hungry full grown male grey wolf. The size of their teeth and bite force power enables them to take down oxen, bison, moose, caribu, elk, boar and deer for a living. If a wolf was trained to fight and kill, it would be the most scariest canine in the world, even for the owner. This is why they are the masters and ancestors of all dogs
@mgmga1 good remove yourself from the gene pool cause you are too lazy to find out the truth about wolves. Man has always control wolf population since the beginning of time until the last 15 years when the hug predator crowd brainwashed America into bringing these killer back around people. Michael Vic wannabe support wolves.
@mgmga1 What a really truly ignorant thing to say. You must be a child the animal population in America is doing really good accept where the wolves are over populated killing everything in sight. Yes the wolves are giving us barren landscape so try some facts instead your childish emotional LIES
@mgmga1 With your childish reply I can clearly see you have no wilderness skills what so ever. Wolves sport kill it is documented facts meaning they kill for the pure fun of it leaving a wasteland of animals no feeding on them. Try reality and no childish fairy tales.
well where do scavangers eat...oh i know they eat what the wolves leave behind and if you kill the wolves your killing ONE of the scavenger`s food scorce which isnt a good idea beacuse then they might want to eat living things ;) oh and i worked at a zoo with WOLVES for years
@mgmga1 You really are totally clueless about what is going on. What city do you live in? You work in a ZOO ROTFLMAO Like that has anything to do with the wilds. The wolves are wiping out the game herd that is documented fact. Wolves have attacked people fact. But there is a wolf cult that could care a less about people you are one of them. Trying going into the woods before you think you have a clue.
@mgmga1 LOL OMG you wolf in a Zoo you think that means you have a clue what happens in the wild. Now you in college so you think that wolves are going extinct LOL OMG could be any more clueless and uneducated in the whole world then you. Going Extinct. Perhaps if you are in college you can look up Endangered Species and explain how 100,000 wolves can be considered endangered? Oh that right they are not. The USFWS put them down as Non ESSENTIAL experimental. Look it up.
@BruceH59 hehe ur def a city dweller u neevr seen a wild animal in ya life only animals u seen are on national geographic now get over here and satisfy bruce u sexy man u hehe ;)
The lady says,"I don't think we need to go on the wolf hunt." yet dosen't sound like she really means it! If you just stoped messing with them and invading their land, they'd leave us alone. arn't our cities bigg enough yet?
WOW! obviously WE'RE moving into THERE habitat but there scared of us... but they see dogs as other wolves in THERE territory... that means we should take Teddy Roosevelt advice and stop distroying the woods for are own "needs"
its so propaganda shit. Its we humans that are killing the wolfs food and spreading like cacroses thrue the forests and we killing forests and everything araund us,but we are always feling sorry for aurselfs its so sad.
There aren't many big dogs in the world that can take on a full grown male grey wolf. The size of the teeth and bite force of a wolf are almost double that of any fighting dog. Wolves jaws are meant to take down oxen, moose, bison, caribu, elk, boar and deer. No competition buds!
The wolves have been bothering us here- we have to keep a close eye on our dog. We had one incident, where a pack of wolves had our dog surrounded... the wolves were not afraid of me, at all. They haven't been a problem before- but the lack of snow makes it hard for them to get any moose...
What I find sad is that these attacks back then added to the wolf's quite undeserved reputations of being savage killers (which they're not). Wolves' lives are tougher than ours and even 1 pack can hardly take down a medium sized ungulate (often going for rodents when they're available). The fact that they've wind up in the human territories is due to that the winter made the rodents hard to reach (since they hibernate underground) and the ungulates left, making them turn to pets as last resort.
the thing is that the wolfes attack in packs...if the dogs whould be in a pack it would be a matched fight..it is normal for 6-7 wolfes to kill a lonely dog...so for you people who live there get youreselfes bigger dogs :)
not really ..again i say it depends on the individual. I live in Romania and here is the largest population of wolfes in Europe, and over thousands of years the 3 sheperd dog breeds that evolved here where bred to fight wolfes, bears, lynx etc..i say many fights and in a 1 on 1 fight there are equal chanses for dog and wolf...but in a pack the wolf wins if the dog is alone or heavely outnumbered :) i know what i am talking about
There is no dog that is trained to kill wolves. How is this possible? Do they have a wolf tied up with its jaws closed shut, then release the dog? Do you seriously believe that a dog set into the forest and runs into a full grown male grey wolf would be able to take it? And the odds get worse for dogs if its like 8 on 8 because wolves attack, fight, kill, and work as a team. Dogs don't have that coordination with eachother. A dog may take a young, injured, sick, or even a small female at best.
The Eurasian wolf is not all that impressive and I do believe there are dogs capable of taking them on but no dog can handle a prime male yellowstone, alaskan, mckenzie valley wolf, or the big 120- 150 pound wolves that we get here in far Northern Ontario, they slash, tear, and disembowl..they will tear open a dogs ribs, its neck, it's legs, belly, it's snout, eyes, u name it..they don't fight like dogs and a prime male wolf would mangle an CAO, Ovcharka, kangal, bully kutta, etc..believe me
@reubensutherland29. a well Trained dog could take down any wolf m8. remember that wolfs are Predators not fighters.. but ofc if you put a Normal dog that is not trained to fight it would losse but if you put a trained Kangal or rottie or other dog it can beat a Yellowstone wolf.
@reubensutherland29 well even if the wolfes there are bigger that the ones in Eurasia which are as big as a german sheperd dog or bigger..but the truth is that a lot of dogs where used for defending not only for the wolf, but also from the bear and linx and i know it because romanian sheperd dogs are made for this ;)
@Amidat Just for your info the wolves in Yellowstone are wiping out the elk down 75% guess you love seeing a barren landscape and hate seeing animals in the wilds right Kid.
This is why they are the masters and ancestors of all dogs.
I know that there aren't many dogs that can fight a wolf 1 on 1 and the dogs that can take down a wolf are only a few in this world, and it depends on the individual dog and wolf if he survives, vins, dies, etc. ever heard of the Irish wolfhound? or the Caucasian ovchearka? Kangal? Mioritic sheperd dog? and there are some more here..and in a pack fight in the forest i think that the wolf wins more than 85% BUT in a 1 on 1 fight there are 50%-50% chanses for both (if the dog protects his property)
oh my god near the end when he said that they would kill the wolves it is so meanthey didnt do anything it was man and there need to expand and be in controll of things man is the problem here not the wolves
You want to know why? Land loss is a major factor but dogs spent times with humans. They learned to adapt to kindness. Wolves find humans to fear, so they attack them in fear even if they're not starved. It's a sense to keep the forest or themselves safe. Just like we would attack them if your children were playing and wolves we only passing by. It's an instinct to kill out of fear for loss.
wolves are not beasts they have lived here before us we stole their lands and its not their fault that the mouse is gone its nature. god you people that think wolves should die make me sick!
they kill to survive. Do your fucking research. My grandpa own 5 of them. Kill innocent humans? MAO. They are AFRAID of humans. The chance of that is like getting attack by a shark on a side walk. Do your research before you open your mouth
@SEALHopeful28 Sadly wolves do attack humans. On Nov. 8 2005 a 22 year old man was attacked and eaten by a pack of wolves near Walaston Lake. This is NOT a joke or a lie. I know one of the men who worked there and found his body. This is a well documented case that was in the media. There was also an inquiry into the mans death that concluded he was killed by a pack of wolves.
@SEALHopeful28 It is very rare but attacks do happen. I have seen documentaries of men rasing orphaned wolves and even bear cubs. In these cases they see the man as leader of the pack or bear mother and not as potential prey. Wild wolves could be a different story. I had an encounter with 2 wolves. They ran away when I ran a few steps towards them. They are usually afraid of people but I think could be quite dangerous if they get used to humans being around and loose their natural fear of us.
You are correct. Wolves are naturally Afraid of humans. But if they get used to us we can be their prey. thats OUR fault for moving on THEIR territory though.
Most of the time they are afraid of us but not always. I remember news stories were wolves were coming right into the city of Yellowknife and killing famillies pet dogs. Parents were watching over their playing children with firearms. Once they get that bold you just can't trust them.
@SEALHopeful28 Wrong. It's our fault for not being allowed to hunt them way longer after they were no longer endangered. I hate this bullshit notion of "THEIR" territory. The whole friggin world could be considered "THEIR" territory by that flawed thinking. We have MORE right to land then they do, because we are higher on the food chain, period.
actuallly we are the weakest speicies in the world so we are only higher in the food chain because of destroying nature and our laziness drives us to inventing things to do it for us so that way we sit on our fat but getting scared when the cable goes out!!!!!
@MrRubioe01 Noooo, humans are the strongest species, and YOU are the weakest of our species, you sniveling little maggot. You have a hatred for humans, because of a pathetic mental illness condition you have. We are the most successful species ever to exist on this planet because of our big brains (but not yours, you fucking moron). Next time you see a tiger keeping a pet human in a cage you let me know and I'll say I am wrong. You pathetic fuck.
@Scrap5000 - If we're the strongest species as you deludedly claim, how do you explain how we can be wiped out by a microscopic organism such as a virus?
We're only able to exert force over other animals, because we abuse our power by wielding weapons. How do you think we'd fare without them?
Whales have larger brains than humans, but they don't misuse their intelligence to destroy their environment. If we continue to misuse our power & destroy our environment, our species will be wiped out.
@Sulphax Seriously, GET...MENTAL...FUCKING...HELP. Our BRAINS allow us to develop vaccines, cures, antibiotics and treatments. Ever hear of smallpox?? How about Polio?? Humans DEFEATED THEM with vaccines, you idiot. Those are tools, same as guns, and it's our BRAINS that allow us to create the proper tool for the job. No other animal comes close, and just cause whales have bigger brains that doesn't make 'em smarter than us...well, maybe smarter than you!! Fucking moron!!
@Scrap5000 - Deadly viruses that the human race has been unable to cure: HIV, Ebola, Marburg, Avian Flu (a few of the 100's that exist), so, submicroscopic parasites can wipe us out.
We rely on the animal kingdom more than it relies on us. Without the various ecosystems, of which animals are a vital component, we wouldn't survive for long.
How do you quantify intelligence? IQ? emotional intelligence? For such an intelligent species, we haven't learnt to live in harmony with our environment.
@Sulphax Lemme tell you why there are deadly diseases that we haven't cured: GREEDY FUCKS MAKE TOO MUCH MONEY TREATING THEM!! And noooo, they can't wipe us all out...plauge came closest, and even then 66% of the population survived. There are even hookers in Africa found immune to AIDS, so we're safe asa species. And of course we rely on animals, and that's why we MANAGE them & the environment. When biologists are allowed to make sound decisions instead of PETA, we DO live harmoneously.
@Scrap5000 - I agree that pharmaceuticals make huge profits peddalling drugs that are supposed to cure disease, but often cause more health issues in the long-term, if that's what you are referring to. The plague was caused by bacterium entering the lymphatic system and can now be cured by antibiotics, unlike the submicroscopic parasites (ebola etc.) that are resistant to antibiotics and for which there is no vaccine.
Your point that we're the 'strongest species' is juvenile nonsense.
@Sulphax omg, take a science class..."submicroscopic parasites (ebola etc.)" are called VIRUSES, and there are indeed vaccines for many viruses. What do you think a Flu shot is? A vaccine for the Flu virus. Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Rabies...ALL have vaccines. Just cause we don't have vaccines for all viruses that does not mean there are no vaccines for any...
@Sulphax dude, take a science class. "submicroscopic parasites (ebola etc.)" are called viruses, and there indeed many, may vaccines for them. What do you think a flu shot is? It's a Flu Virus vaccine! Rabies, measels, mumps, rubella, polio...all of smallpox...ALL of these have scucesssful vaccines, for decades, even centuries. Wow, you are scaring me.
@Scrap5000 - Try not to come across as a stroppy, patronising, know-it,all adolescent and I'll address your replies one by one throughout the day (some of us have to work & are not permanently sitting by their inbox).
I'm fully aware that submicroscopic parasites are another name for viruses, since I mentioned them in ref' to ebola, HIV etc in the first place (presumably you've been reading Wikipedia to clue yourself up). If you've found a vaccine that cures the deadly diseases that ->
@Sulphax I'm 37 and have been working since I was 8, and have a degree and a state licence in my field and a very well paying career, so go try to belittle someone else with that bullshit. Yes there are thousands of viruses, so fucking what? My point is that our big brains allow us to make weapons (vaccines & treatments) to fight them, so don't go claiming that we are deafeated by them all the time. If that were true we'd be extinct...and (continued...)
@Sulphax right, right, you never threw out any insults...re-read your shit and think again. And you would have brought them up had I said you were a jobless child, as you did. So Mr. Pot, stop calling me a black kettle, please.
@Scrap5000 - That's right, I didn't insult you, my comment was an observation about your rude, abusive, infantile behaviour in previous posts. I expect an adolescent to act like one, but a 37 year old has no excuse.
I mentioned earlier that I was going to address your comments one by one when I could grab a moment, but you're obviously too impatient/ ignorant to wait for my reply.
I fail to understand why you can't have a rational discussion without becoming unhinged ->
@Scrap5000 - If that's the disrespectful way you treat a member of the human race (a species you profess to love) I pity any unwitting animal that's unlucky enough to cross your path.
You're fortunate to have really diverse wildlife in the States (wolves, bear, coyote, elk etc.) it's a pity you can only think about having dominion over animals and don't appreciate what you have.
I'm not continuing this debate, because I don't appreciate being insulted
@Sulphax Ohhhh, I get it now, so you're a chick, and from the UK. Well no wonder, then! That explains everything.
You guys & gals let yourselves be walked all over by muslims who want to kill you, and since you banned fox hunting two baby twin girls were attacked in their beds and their faces almost ripped off, since fox there no longer fear humans. Real good job you guys are doing running things over there! Realll, real good job!
@Scrap5000 - You can't stop yourself making patronising and idiotic comments can you? It's clearly a form of Tourette's. No, I'm not a 'chick', I'm female a fact I admitted myself Sherlock.
If it comforts you to believe the UK 'let ourselves be walked over' in your countries illegal war, then go ahead and believe that. You appear to generally be in denial where the truth's concerned, so it's unsurprising you take that view. As for the alleged urban fox attack ->
"Her arm was open and bits of her flesh were literally, like, just dropping onto Nick's leg," "That's how I can remember. it looked like it had been through a cheese grater."
In the 2 weeks following the attack, six foxes were trapped in the Koupparis family's garden, removed and humanely destroyed.
Both babies are likely to be permanently scarred, while Isabella – whose left arm and hand were severely injured – will continue to see specialists until her late teens.
@Scrap5000 - there has been no proof to date a fox caused the minor injuries the children sustained as the Koupparis family refused any investigation into the cause of the injuries. Our (unelected) Tory government has an agenda to bring back fox hunting and immediately sensationalist stories about fox attacks appear in the media, but naturally reactionaries like you want to capitalise on that to push your hunting agenda.
Don't let me keep you from Bill O'Reilly's show, you can rant together..
@Sulphax BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! "NO PROOF THAT A FOX DID IT"???!!! "MINOR INJURIES:???!! BAHAHHAHAH OMFG YOU ARE A PETA WACKO FOR SURE, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!! YOUR MENTAL ILLNESS ALWAYS SHINES THROUGH IN THE END!!
@Scrap5000 - Have you ever heard of media sensationalism? Judging from the gullible, uninformed comments you've just made, I'm guessing not. I think I'm in a better position to review the political bias of certain elements of the British media (particularly where it concerns animals) than a right-wing foreigner, with a pro-hunting agenda.
It's hard to believe that you're middle-aged, but get your kicks ranting incoherently on Youtube!
@Sulphax Please, I've taken more than my share of media courses, and I know the game well. I base my decisions on logic and science, while you base it in on the illogical and emotional belief that humans are much more inferior than we factually are, and believe that we overpopulate and destroy the earth & should be culled. Ever hear of reaction-formation disorder? You have it, sister! Get help for it.
@Scrap5000 - You've 'really' proven that your views are based on logic & science with your deranged, juvenile comments. You're obviously desperate to keep the 'conversation' going, but I'm not & you're becoming increasingly tedious & repetitive.
I gave you plenty of opportunities to have a rational discussion & you couldn't manage it.
I'm sure you'll need to get the last word in. Go for it, it's nothing more than I'd expect from someone with your mentality.
@Sulphax It's not about having the last word, you wacko. You have watched too many Disney movies & think that Nature is like the movie Bambi, and you think people are horrible creatures & that we destroy the world & blah blah blah. Go ahead, tell me truthfully that you don't think humans are vile, horrible creatures who overpopulate & need to be culled, I dare you to lie to me like that.
@Sulphax Oh, and by the way, I tried fo a loooong, long time to have rational discussions with PETA freaks like you, and then I finally faced the fact that there is no logical discussing anything with you guys, because you're mental. You won't even accept that humans are the most advanced & intelligent species to have ever existed on this planet, and that says everything about how warped you are. There's no place to go with you after that.
@Sulphax "yawn"? as in I'm boring & repetitive? Nooo, you need to eat some meat to get your energy levels up. Veggies & vitamins don't supply everything you need. And your spine is slowly being destroyed as well by your poor diet.
I think you'll find the vegan diet is the healthiest diet available, as you'll no doubt discover when bowel cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, athereosclerosis, osteoporosis from too much protein (do your research) obesity, diabetes and cerebral hemorrhage's develop from your animal fat laden diet.
Incidentally, why do you feel so inferior to animal's that you feel the need to prove your alleged superiority over them?
@Sulphax I'm a cliche?? I knew you were a vegan without you ever saying it. I knew you have to take vitamins just to stay alive without you saying it. Listen to me, and listen carefully; I am telling you this with no malice whatsoever: If you have to take vitamins, that are man-made in a laboratory, simply to stay alive, then that cannot, possibly, in any way at all, be healthy nor natural for you, period.
@Scrap5000 - again I reiterate, I don't hate the human race (that was your fabrication), I strongly disagree however, with the exploition, abuse and slaughter of other species. That is not advancement, it's as an abuse of power.
Einstein, Da Vinci, Tesla, Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Plutarch, Van Gogh, Benjamin Franklin, Leo Tolstoy (& many others) were all in favour of animal as well as human rights.
We're custodians of the planet, which is why it's important to protect endangered species.
@Sulphax there is a huge difference b/t animal rights (bad), and animal welfare (good). Do you even know that in some species, 75% of the population naturally dies off every winter, and so it's a terrible waste to not utilize them for meat or fur first. Do you realize that hunters and trappers contribute hundreds of millions of dollars annually to wildlife & lands, through taxes and liecenses? Without us, there would be a walmart everywhere. And endangered species has nothing to do w/ this.
@Scrap5000 - if you hunter's contribute 'hundreds of millions of dollars' (doubtful) it's so you can have a stake in killing the very wildlife you profess to save.
If it were left to morally bankrupt fools like you we'd still have a slave trade.
By the way, wolves are not 'over-populating' (again do your research) you'll find elk herds are stable & since the reintroduction of the gray wolf the vegetation in the rockies is recovering. The wolves, unlike you, are vital to the eco-system.
@Sulphax Wrong, the benefit to the environment we provide is beneficial to many more species of non-huntable animals than it is to huntable ones. And so what if we want a small piece of the large pie we baked? We have earned it 10x over. Look up the Robert Pittman Act to see how much we have given & the good it has done. And do better, non boased research about the wolves & see how much destruction to the herds they have caused.
@Sulphax if the herds had caused that much overbrowsing then the environment would not have been able to sustain that many thousands for so many years; they would have died off in droves in 1 year from starvation, or at least not grown in numbers so much year after year. No diseases either, so it's the wolves that are indeed overpopulating & killing them all; never were the elk overpopulated.
@Sulphax unless you want to count the millions of dollars from hunters that have gone to restoring endangered and threatened species, and to keep animals from becoming endangered or threatened. Wolves, by the way, are no longer endangered...they are a success story; proof of how our money has been used fro good. They actually are overpopulating many areas now, decimating elk herds all over the rockies to almost nothing, and their numbers need to be managed back down.
@Scrap5000 - first question... if wolves have overpopulated - then wouldn't that mean that there is not enough prey for them and then they will start eating each other... which will bring back down there #'s??? You all act as if wolves just go to the corner store for a meal. Wolf hunts are usually a big expense of energy with no reward at the end. second question: do whales and sharks eat too many fish...or are wolves the only predator that does that?
@Sulphax And still you persist with the "alleged superiority" stance. Come on already & get off of it...we humans have language & medicine & electricity & philosophy & schools & science & poetry & art & math & trillions of inventions & can travel to space...for the love of God, the fact that you won't acknowledge these incredible factual accomplishments says volumes of how demented your mind is.
@Scrap5000 - yes and we're still managing to destroy our environment at an unprecedented rate- not too clever considering that earth's the only habitable planet we know of..
Animals have language, intelligence, problem-solving skills etc. however
it's very short-sighted to project human capacities onto other species and evaluate them accordingly. Animal's are far more complex than we give them credit for & we can learn a lot from studying them in their natural environments ->
@Sulphax who the heckl is spammig your e-mail account??? I'm replying to you here...if you have this linked to your e-mail account then that's your fault. Hmmm, why don't you ask an animal how to solve this vexing problem, since they are sooooo superior to us & sooo intelligent....lemme know what solution it comes up with.

@toowaker37

BruceH59 8 months ago
@TheTudiscoKid - most of what you said is true... except domestic livestock don't know to run from wolves because they lack wild instincts. That's why when predators (not just wolves) figure that out... they keep targeting them... they make an easy meal. That's the only time I condone killing the predator (or relocating). Of course if it attacks a human it should be killed. I don't support mass extermination just to have a certain # though.
Amidat 8 months ago
@Amidat that is the problem with clueless uneducated people talking about hunting predators they make the most childish statement. The one season Idaho had a hunting season on wolves the quota was not even meet. Proving the paranoid fairy tale that wolves can be hunted into extintion is a myth. Only a simple minded person would believe that. You could have year round hunting season on wolves and they would still be wolves 100 years from now.
BruceH59 8 months ago
@BruceH59 - so tell me this you clown.... if hunting wolves all year round wouldn't decimate the population... then how did your forefathers cause them to become extinct??? Let me guess... you will tell me it wasn't there fault???

I had a wolf dog and my sister had an akita they were both around 10 months old. There was a lone wolf if looked young but fat (tons of rabbits and prarie dogs in the area) I thought it was my wolf dog (this was at sunset) then i looked at my side and my pet was there I looked back up and my sisters akita charged at it. Good thing it wasnt starving it because it took off and my sister was able to call her dog back the moment he charged. It was kind of scary and cool the way it growled and ran.

It was open field but you know that kid as you sit in your apartment 2000 miles away thinking you have a clue. But who cares ranchers are forced out of business right cause wolves are more important then people, Right? When you grow up let me know!

@Amidat People consider everything meat eating that can't be controlled as dangerous. That's why nobody notices dog accidents, although they kill more people than wolves.

@TheTudiscoKid Your gross ignorance in wolves is showing. 120 sheep killed in a single night in Montana that is called sports killing. Not for food for the sheer pleasure of killing.

Amidat 8 months ago
@Amidat Nice try I have interviewed the people that have had their dogs killed on private property so nice try deny the document facts. 2 Yes Michael Vic Wannabe love it when their wolves kill people pets it perverse. 3. Try reading a book for once in your life the Nazi were the first country to protect wolves. It is historical fact. Wolves name in a sporting team has nothing to do with over protecting a fake endangered species so it can slaughter people pets DUH you even make thru HS ??
BruceH59 8 months ago
@BruceH59 - you said the Nazi's were the first country to protect wolves?? HAHAHAHAHA. People just make up "facts". You ask if I finished high school? Well whatever college you went to - you need to get your money back. Many societies valued wildlife (including predators) throughout history and were able to deal with them. Maybe it's the European ancestry....?? example: tigers never had a problem in Asia until the English starting shooting them for sport...
Amidat 8 months ago
@Amidat In the book Animals in the Third Reich: Pets, Scapegoats, and the Holocaust (9780826412898): Boria Sax:
The author points out the truth of the wolf cult here in America.
Page 75 In 1934 Germany was the first country to put wolves under protection. Wolves were used as a means of demeaning and Tormenting the Jews.
The top of page 79 in the author own words not mind.
"The cult of the wolf continued to influence western culture long after the end of the Nazi Regime." Documented FACTS.
BruceH59 8 months ago
@BruceH59 - do you realize that more Americans have German ancestry than anything else??? so are you suggesting that's where it comes from??? Anyway the point I was making was that long before 1934 - persons who are not of European descent (including native americans) were able to live with wolves... and even respected them. You are the only one it seems that is in a cult!
Amidat 8 months ago
@Amidat That is the problem with facts you called me liar and said I made that up. I proved you WRONG no susrpise there you are in the wolf cult and several people call you a cult. Native Americans hunted trapped poison and even denned wolf pups as delicacy. Funny what happen when you actually research something and don't let the TV tell you what to think. Just like you were wrong about the NAZI's you are wrong about the Native American. Losing pretty bad with uneducated comments
BruceH59 8 months ago
@BruceH59 - what was I wrong about the Nazi's about??? Your a fool. Yes the Natives killed wolves just like they did bears... and just like buffalo and beavers. YET NONE OF THEM BECAME ENDANGERED until the Europeans came in. Those Natives didn't have any sophisticated education system. They had common sense... something you lack.
Amidat 8 months ago
@Amidat Common sense you don't know the meaning of the word. Try looking up Endangered species and read. Wolves are a fake endangered species. So when you grow up and learn to research facts let me know. I have proven you wrong so many times it is not even funny. Stop being so closed minded. Now you admit Native Americans killed wolves wow first you said they worship them LOL you change you mind all the time after I prove you wrong yet again.
BruceH59 8 months ago
@BruceH59 - when did I say they worshipped them fool. I said "respected". Wow - you really really need help. They didn't just going around killing them. It was part ritual for them... like with bears and buffalo. Yeah - and I guess wolves didn't become extinct in certain places either. My grandfather farmed chickens but he didn't eat chicken. Are you saying he worshipped chickens because he didn't eat them? You need some help. I'm not wasting more time with you.

The wolves have been bothering us here- we have to keep a close eye on our dog. We had one incident, where a pack of wolves had our dog surrounded... the wolves were not afraid of me, at all. They haven't been a problem before- but the lack of snow makes it hard for them to get any moose...
livingoffphotographs 2 years ago
What I find sad is that these attacks back then added to the wolf's quite undeserved reputations of being savage killers (which they're not). Wolves' lives are tougher than ours and even 1 pack can hardly take down a medium sized ungulate (often going for rodents when they're available). The fact that they've wind up in the human territories is due to that the winter made the rodents hard to reach (since they hibernate underground) and the ungulates left, making them turn to pets as last resort.

Oruper 2 years ago
wolves are much stronger than domestic dogs- even if the dog is bigger, sometimes it does not matter..
livingoffphotographs 2 years ago
not really ..again i say it depends on the individual. I live in Romania and here is the largest population of wolfes in Europe, and over thousands of years the 3 sheperd dog breeds that evolved here where bred to fight wolfes, bears, lynx etc..i say many fights and in a 1 on 1 fight there are equal chanses for dog and wolf...but in a pack the wolf wins if the dog is alone or heavely outnumbered :) i know what i am talking about
Oruper 2 years ago
Hence how I said "SOMETIMES". =)
Not every dog can fight off a wolf- but when they are bred to fight wolves, obviously there is a chance.
and even if it is 1 on 1, sometimes the wolf may get the better hand...and sometimes the dog may get the better hand in the fight...
And sometimes you may not always know everything! :)

A dog may take a young, injured, sick, or even a small female at best.
carnivorewolf 2 years ago
The Eurasian wolf is not all that impressive and I do believe there are dogs capable of taking them on but no dog can handle a prime male yellowstone, alaskan, mckenzie valley wolf, or the big 120- 150 pound wolves that we get here in far Northern Ontario, they slash, tear, and disembowl..they will tear open a dogs ribs, its neck, it's legs, belly, it's snout, eyes, u name it..they don't fight like dogs and a prime male wolf would mangle an CAO, Ovcharka, kangal, bully kutta, etc..believe me
reubensutherland29 1 year ago
@reubensutherland29. a well Trained dog could take down any wolf m8. remember that wolfs are Predators not fighters.. but ofc if you put a Normal dog that is not trained to fight it would losse but if you put a trained Kangal or rottie or other dog it can beat a Yellowstone wolf.
DonChilenito 1 year ago
@reubensutherland29 well even if the wolfes there are bigger that the ones in Eurasia which are as big as a german sheperd dog or bigger..but the truth is that a lot of dogs where used for defending not only for the wolf, but also from the bear and linx and i know it because romanian sheperd dogs are made for this ;)

It's an instinct to kill out of fear for loss.

they kill to survive. Do your fucking research. My grandpa own 5 of them. Kill innocent humans? MAO. They are AFRAID of humans. The chance of that is like getting attack by a shark on a side walk. Do your research before you open your mouth
SEALHopeful28 2 years ago
my dads friend had dogs that were killed by them, when he was sleeping. WOLVES ARE NOT SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!
6bigmaddog19 2 years ago
@SEALHopeful28 Sadly wolves do attack humans. On Nov. 8 2005 a 22 year old man was attacked and eaten by a pack of wolves near Walaston Lake. This is NOT a joke or a lie. I know one of the men who worked there and found his body. This is a well documented case that was in the media. There was also an inquiry into the mans death that concluded he was killed by a pack of wolves.
banjer4u 2 years ago
thats really weird. thats rare. My grandpa owns a pack of them. Im around them most of the time and i have NEVER got attacked.
SEALHopeful28 2 years ago
@SEALHopeful28 It is very rare but attacks do happen. I have seen documentaries of men rasing orphaned wolves and even bear cubs. In these cases they see the man as leader of the pack or bear mother and not as potential prey. Wild wolves could be a different story. I had an encounter with 2 wolves. They ran away when I ran a few steps towards them. They are usually afraid of people but I think could be quite dangerous if they get used to humans being around and loose their natural fear of us.
banjer4u 2 years ago
You are correct. Wolves are naturally Afraid of humans. But if they get used to us we can be their prey. thats OUR fault for moving on THEIR territory though.
SEALHopeful28 2 years ago 14
Most of the time they are afraid of us but not always. I remember news stories were wolves were coming right into the city of Yellowknife and killing famillies pet dogs. Parents were watching over their playing children with firearms. Once they get that bold you just can't trust them.
banjer4u 2 years ago
@SEALHopeful28 I will put any animal down, that is threatening humanity.
Like a squirell, or even a dog in the middle of the road... its me or you. i got a life to live and if that animal dont move to bad...
DamnSkyPixie 1 year ago
@DamnSkyPixie you must be mentally disturbed you WOULD KILL A DOG IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD? your the most idiotic person i have ever seen
TheJosiah12345 1 year ago
No animal threatens humanity but humanity threatens animals. people like you threaten them.
MrRubioe01 1 year ago
@SEALHopeful28 Wrong. It's our fault for not being allowed to hunt them way longer after they were no longer endangered. I hate this bullshit notion of "THEIR" territory. The whole friggin world could be considered "THEIR" territory by that flawed thinking. We have MORE right to land then they do, because we are higher on the food chain, period.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
actuallly we are the weakest speicies in the world so we are only higher in the food chain because of destroying nature and our laziness drives us to inventing things to do it for us so that way we sit on our fat but getting scared when the cable goes out!!!!!
MrRubioe01 1 year ago
@MrRubioe01 Noooo, humans are the strongest species, and YOU are the weakest of our species, you sniveling little maggot. You have a hatred for humans, because of a pathetic mental illness condition you have. We are the most successful species ever to exist on this planet because of our big brains (but not yours, you fucking moron). Next time you see a tiger keeping a pet human in a cage you let me know and I'll say I am wrong. You pathetic fuck.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - If we're the strongest species as you deludedly claim, how do you explain how we can be wiped out by a microscopic organism such as a virus?
We're only able to exert force over other animals, because we abuse our power by wielding weapons. How do you think we'd fare without them?
Whales have larger brains than humans, but they don't misuse their intelligence to destroy their environment. If we continue to misuse our power & destroy our environment, our species will be wiped out.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax Seriously, GET...MENTAL...FUCKING...HELP. Our BRAINS allow us to develop vaccines, cures, antibiotics and treatments. Ever hear of smallpox?? How about Polio?? Humans DEFEATED THEM with vaccines, you idiot. Those are tools, same as guns, and it's our BRAINS that allow us to create the proper tool for the job. No other animal comes close, and just cause whales have bigger brains that doesn't make 'em smarter than us...well, maybe smarter than you!! Fucking moron!!
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - Deadly viruses that the human race has been unable to cure: HIV, Ebola, Marburg, Avian Flu (a few of the 100's that exist), so, submicroscopic parasites can wipe us out.
We rely on the animal kingdom more than it relies on us. Without the various ecosystems, of which animals are a vital component, we wouldn't survive for long.
How do you quantify intelligence? IQ? emotional intelligence? For such an intelligent species, we haven't learnt to live in harmony with our environment.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax Lemme tell you why there are deadly diseases that we haven't cured: GREEDY FUCKS MAKE TOO MUCH MONEY TREATING THEM!! And noooo, they can't wipe us all out...plauge came closest, and even then 66% of the population survived. There are even hookers in Africa found immune to AIDS, so we're safe asa species. And of course we rely on animals, and that's why we MANAGE them & the environment. When biologists are allowed to make sound decisions instead of PETA, we DO live harmoneously.
Scrap5000 1 year ago

Scrap5000 1 year ago

If you've found a vaccine that cures the deadly diseases that ->
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - that science has no answer for, I'm sure the World Health Organization would be interested to hear from you.
There are more than 5,000 viruses known to man, and they are evolving daily.
Citing a few vaccines that are currently in use, does not change the fact that there are many viruses for which there is no vaccine.
By the way, my name's not 'Jack'..
I'll reply to the rest of your posts later..
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax I'm 37 and have been working since I was 8, and have a degree and a state licence in my field and a very well paying career, so go try to belittle someone else with that bullshit. Yes there are thousands of viruses, so fucking what? My point is that our big brains allow us to make weapons (vaccines & treatments) to fight them, so don't go claiming that we are deafeated by them all the time. If that were true we'd be extinct...and (continued...)
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - You're 37 but behave like an over-tired toddler having a meltdown.
I have two degrees, but didn't feel the need to brag about them. Nor do I need to abuse/insult you in a pitiful attempt to win an argument.
Not once have I stated that 'I hate my own species', stop being so theatrical!
I strongly suggest you book yourself some anger management classes & get back to me when you're mature enough to have a rational discussion.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax right, right, you never threw out any insults...re-read your shit and think again. And you would have brought them up had I said you were a jobless child, as you did. So Mr. Pot, stop calling me a black kettle, please.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - That's right, I didn't insult you, my comment was an observation about your rude, abusive, infantile behaviour in previous posts. I expect an adolescent to act like one, but a 37 year old has no excuse.
I mentioned earlier that I was going to address your comments one by one when I could grab a moment, but you're obviously too impatient/ ignorant to wait for my reply.
I fail to understand why you can't have a rational discussion without becoming unhinged ->
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - If that's the disrespectful way you treat a member of the human race (a species you profess to love) I pity any unwitting animal that's unlucky enough to cross your path.
You're fortunate to have really diverse wildlife in the States (wolves, bear, coyote, elk etc.) it's a pity you can only think about having dominion over animals and don't appreciate what you have.
I'm not continuing this debate, because I don't appreciate being insulted
and that would be Ms. Pot, not Mr.

Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - You can't stop yourself making patronising and idiotic comments can you? It's clearly a form of Tourette's. No, I'm not a 'chick', I'm female a fact I admitted myself Sherlock.
If it comforts you to believe the UK 'let ourselves be walked over' in your countries illegal war, then go ahead and believe that. You appear to generally be in denial where the truth's concerned, so it's unsurprising you take that view. As for the alleged urban fox attack ->
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax Great job!
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - there has been no proof to date a fox caused the minor injuries the children sustained as the Koupparis family refused any investigation into the cause of the injuries. Our (unelected) Tory government has an agenda to bring back fox hunting and immediately sensationalist stories about fox attacks appear in the media, but naturally reactionaries like you want to capitalise on that to push your hunting agenda.
Don't let me keep you from Bill O'Reilly's show, you can rant together..
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! "NO PROOF THAT A FOX DID IT"???!!! "MINOR INJURIES:???!! BAHAHHAHAH OMFG YOU ARE A PETA WACKO FOR SURE, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!! YOUR MENTAL ILLNESS ALWAYS SHINES THROUGH IN THE END!!
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - Have you ever heard of media sensationalism? Judging from the gullible, uninformed comments you've just made, I'm guessing not. I think I'm in a better position to review the political bias of certain elements of the British media (particularly where it concerns animals) than a right-wing foreigner, with a pro-hunting agenda.
It's hard to believe that you're middle-aged, but get your kicks ranting incoherently on Youtube!
Stop frothing at the mouth & get a life.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax Please, I've taken more than my share of media courses, and I know the game well. I base my decisions on logic and science, while you base it in on the illogical and emotional belief that humans are much more inferior than we factually are, and believe that we overpopulate and destroy the earth & should be culled.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - oh dear, as I suspected....yawn
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax "yawn"? as in I'm boring & repetitive? Nooo, you need to eat some meat to get your energy levels up. Veggies & vitamins don't supply everything you need. And your spine is slowly being destroyed as well by your poor diet.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - you're such a cliche.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax I'm a cliche?? I knew you were a vegan without you ever saying it. I knew you have to take vitamins just to stay alive without you saying it. Listen to me, and listen carefully; I am telling you this with no malice whatsoever: If you have to take vitamins, that are man-made in a laboratory, simply to stay alive, then that cannot, possibly, in any way at all, be healthy nor natural for you, period.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - I get all the vitamins I need from my diet dear and I'm extremely fit, so bang goes another badly thought out theory.
Haven't you got 'Freedom Fries' going cold?..
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax so you don't take any vitamins at all?
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - again I reiterate, I don't hate the human race (that was your fabrication), I strongly disagree however, with the exploition, abuse and slaughter of other species. That is not advancement, it's as an abuse of power.
Einstein, Da Vinci, Tesla, Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Plutarch, Van Gogh, Benjamin Franklin, Leo Tolstoy (& many others) were all in favour of animal as well as human rights.
We're custodians of the planet, which is why it's important to protect endangered species.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax there is a huge difference b/t animal rights (bad), and animal welfare (good). Do you even know that in some species, 75% of the population naturally dies off every winter, and so it's a terrible waste to not utilize them for meat or fur first. Do you realize that hunters and trappers contribute hundreds of millions of dollars annually to wildlife & lands, through taxes and liecenses? Without us, there would be a walmart everywhere. And endangered species has nothing to do w/ this.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - if you hunter's contribute 'hundreds of millions of dollars' (doubtful) it's so you can have a stake in killing the very wildlife you profess to save.
If it were left to morally bankrupt fools like you we'd still have a slave trade.
By the way, wolves are not 'over-populating' (again do your research) you'll find elk herds are stable & since the reintroduction of the gray wolf the vegetation in the rockies is recovering. The wolves, unlike you, are vital to the eco-system.
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax Wrong, the benefit to the environment we provide is beneficial to many more species of non-huntable animals than it is to huntable ones. And so what if we want a small piece of the large pie we baked? We have earned it 10x over. Look up the Robert Pittman Act to see how much we have given & the good it has done. And do better, non boased research about the wolves & see how much destruction to the herds they have caused.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Sulphax if the herds had caused that much overbrowsing then the environment would not have been able to sustain that many thousands for so many years; they would have died off in droves in 1 year from starvation, or at least not grown in numbers so much year after year. No diseases either, so it's the wolves that are indeed overpopulating & killing them all; never were the elk overpopulated.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Sulphax unless you want to count the millions of dollars from hunters that have gone to restoring endangered and threatened species, and to keep animals from becoming endangered or threatened. Wolves, by the way, are no longer endangered...they are a success story; proof of how our money has been used fro good. They actually are overpopulating many areas now, decimating elk herds all over the rockies to almost nothing, and their numbers need to be managed back down.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - first question... if wolves have overpopulated - then wouldn't that mean that there is not enough prey for them and then they will start eating each other... which will bring back down there #'s??? You all act as if wolves just go to the corner store for a meal. Wolf hunts are usually a big expense of energy with no reward at the end. second question: do whales and sharks eat too many fish...or are wolves the only predator that does that?
Amidat 8 months ago
@Sulphax And still you persist with the "alleged superiority" stance. Come on already & get off of it...we humans have language & medicine & electricity & philosophy & schools & science & poetry & art & math & trillions of inventions & can travel to space...for the love of God, the fact that you won't acknowledge these incredible factual accomplishments says volumes of how demented your mind is.
Scrap5000 1 year ago
@Scrap5000 - yes and we're still managing to destroy our environment at an unprecedented rate- not too clever considering that earth's the only habitable planet we know of..
Animals have language, intelligence, problem-solving skills etc. however
it's very short-sighted to project human capacities onto other species and evaluate them accordingly. Animal's are far more complex than we give them credit for & we can learn a lot from studying them in their natural environments ->
Sulphax 1 year ago
@Sulphax My God, you PETA wackos are all the same.
Try this...pretend to pass out in a restaurant & see how many humans help you & call an ambulance.
Then try the same in a forest full of animals and see how many help you.
And then tell me which species is superior, more intelligent, more caring, etc. etc.
