Yes there were representatives from Guinness, they presented the certificate afterward. However I looked it up on Guinness's website and they said that as long as they can verify the record through evidence you submit (I assume photographs and videos), it will be official and they will mail you a certificate. Seems like the reps are only there for the public hype and to make it "official" in the moment.

just out of curiosity, did you have to have people from Guinnes World Records to witness or host this? or is that optional when recording the attempt?
